As per a November 25th case docket entry, the WorldVentures v. MaVie lawsuit has been settled. As is typical of MLM lawsuits, details of the settlement have not been made public.

Our last update on Melody Yiru’s lawsuit against WorldVentures noted a September 2018 order compelling arbitration. In an October 11th order, Yiru and WorldVentures filed a joint-motion requesting the case be reopened. It appears after a year arbitration between the parties has failed.

A September 11th court order has scheduled the WorldVentures v. Mavie lawsuit trial for December 2nd, 2019.

Prosecutors in Taiwan have filed criminal charges against WorldVentures’ owners, alleging the company operates as a “classic pyramid scheme”. Prosecutors have filed charges against Kenneth Edward Head (aka Eddie Head) and Jonathon Starks McKillip.

WorldVentures was one of the first companies we reviewed here at BehindMLM. Our original WorldVentures review was published in March 2011 and, as far as I can tell, for the most part still holds up. Recent filings in the WorldVentures v. MaVie lawsuit reveal four separate settlements. According to the filings, WorldVentures has settled all claims against Abdelwadoud Barakat, his company Advanced Wellness Solutions, Daniel Audet,  Anthony Fitzgerald and Michelle Siddy.

The National Reserve Bank of Tonga has issued a warning against participation in WorldVentures.

Police in Jackson, Tennessee are seeking help in apprehending a debit card fraud and theft suspect. CCTV footage shows the suspect wearing beige cargo shorts and a black hoodie, emblazoned with WorldVentures’ logo.

In response to a lawsuit filed against them by WorldVentures, Ariix has come out swinging. The company has brought to the court’s attention WorldVentures’ pyramid scheme ban in Norway and tax evasion investigations in South Africa, Cyprus, China and Taiwan. WorldVentures response to Rwanda declaring the company was an illegal pyramid scheme was certainly strange. Rather than prove it wasn’t a pyramid scheme, WorldVentures brushed off the ban by claiming it didn’t do business in Rwanda. This caught the attention of several Brazilian WorldVentures affiliates.
