Authorities in Russia and Kazakhstan are continuing to investigate the fallout of the collapsed Five Winds and Atlantic Global Asset Management Ponzi schemes.
Back in February Russian authorities arrested Pavel Krymov at the behest of Kazakh authorities. Krymov is believed to be behind the Questra World, Atlantic Global Asset Management, QW Lianora Swiss Consulting and Five Winds Ponzi schemes. Following a hearing earlier this week, it has been confirmed Krymov will be extradited to Kazakhstan.
Despite Questra World and Atlantic Global Asset Management attempting to portray themselves as Spanish companies with African ties, it was always obvious that someone from Russia or a neighboring country was pulling the strings. Turns out I was right on the money, following the arrest of Pavel Krymov in Moscow on February 6th.
Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, more commonly known as UOKiK, has issued scam warnings against OneCoin (OneLife), NetLeaders (DasCoin), FutureNet (FutureAdPro), Questra World (Atlantic Global Asset Management) and Lyoness. The December 18th warning, published by UOKiK President Marek Niechciala, appears to be an end-of-year recap of regulatory actions taken by the watchdog.
For all intents and purposes, Questra World, Atlantic Global Asset Management and Five Winds are all the same company. Five Winds Asset Management, an attempt to keep the Questra World Ponzi scheme running a little while longer, has attracted the attention of Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority. The FSMA is Belgium’s top financial regulator and on October 2nd, issued an investor warning against Five Winds.
When traffic to an online Ponzi scheme stalls, so too do newly invested funds.
