12 OneCoin promoters convicted, sentenced in Argentina
Twelve OneCoin promoters have been been convicted in a court in Cordoba, Argentina.
The promoters, aged 44 to 73, received prison sentences ranging from 3 to 9 years.
Edgar Moreno (55, right) was sentenced to 6 years and 11 months;- Ricardo Beretta (55) was sentenced to 7 years;
- Eduardo Alejandro Taylor (54) was sentenced to 9 years;
- Ariel Eduardo Morasut (47) was sentenced to 6 years and 11 months;
- Mariana Noel Lopez (44) was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months;
- Manuel Peralta Guevara (65) was sentenced to 8 years;
- Andres Matias “Gato” Lopez (42) was sentenced to 6 and a half years;
- Aldo Javier Leguizamon (57) received a 3 year suspended sentence;
- Nancy Diaz (66) received a 3 year suspended sentence;
- Monica Gabriela Blasco (58) was sentenced to 6 years and 11 months;
- Daniel “Pupi” Conaglia (45) was sentenced to 6 and a half years; and
- Adolfo Gustavo “Cachorro” Amuchastegui (73) was sentenced to 8 years in prison
A thirteenth defendant, Hernan Gabriel Pizarro (54), has appealed two court rulings. The outcome of Pizarro’s criminal proceedings remains pending.
Argentinian authorities first took action against OneCoin promoters back in 2020. In December 2020 eight arrests were made.
Two promoters, Adolfo Domínguez and Aldo Leguizamón, pled guilty and were sentenced to 3 years and 6 months and 4 years and 3 months respectively.
The Cordoba Complex Crimes Unit additionally indicted Konstantin Ignatov, Ruja Ignatova and José Gordo.
Konstantin Ignatov was sentenced to time served after pleading guilty to OneCoin criminal charges in the US in 2019.
In March 2024 Ignatov stated on social media that OneCoin was “the biggest mistake of his life”.

Ruja Ignatova, founder of OneCoin, has been indicted by US authorities and is a fugitive on the run.

Jose Gordo was a top promoter of and earner in OneCoin.
Gordo (right) was living in Spain but has since fled to Dubai. Gordo was appointed OneCoin’s Master Distributor of Latin America and Mexico after Sebastian Greenwood’s arrest.
In mid to late 2019 Gordo abandoned OneCoin. He resurfaced as a promoter of Apex International in October 2019.
Apex International was a short-lived Ponzi spinoff of Kuvera Global.
In June 2020 Gordo joined Beyond Wealth, a reboot the Onyx Lifestyle Ponzi scheme.
BehindMLM last came across Gordo in connection with the collapsed Xera Pro mega Ponzi in 2024.
Ignatov, Ignatova and Gordo remain fugitives wanted by Argentinian authorities.

More from Argentina
Although this country has been in the news lately for going after crypto scammers its President (and the President’s sister) are involved in a major crypto scandal:
Mauricio Novelli’s phone has been in possession of the justice system for more than a year but Justice Taíno has not released its content (investigated in September) until now:
eldiario.es/1_c76fd4
Further investigation of the deleted messages show that more members of milei’s party were aware (and at some point urged the President to delete the tweet promoting the scam) of this scheme.
Imagine a country ruled by Ruja Ignatova, well, this is Argentina.
Was it you that published a comment a few days ago on this Milei stuff?
I get it’s crypto fraud but it has nothing to do with OneCoin (or the subject of the article the last comment was made on). If there’s a link, sure – but as far as I can tell there isn’t. Which means, within the context of BehindMLM, it’s spam.
Hello! Yes, I commented on this. Novelli has a history of crypto scandals (coinx being the most notorious). Yet to confirm if onecoin is also there. Feel free to delete previous comment.
I’ll keep you posted!
That name immediately reminds me of a very well-known OneCoin scammer from Spain who, unfortunately, has not been arrested: “Black Diamond” Mariana López de Waard.

Mariana López de Waard tried to erase any trace of her involvement in the OneCoin scam online, but she was only partially successful. I have found numerous sources.
Her old Facebook account now contains only one photo. She has deleted all her posts.

In her account description, she mentions OneCoin and her membership in the ONE DREAM TEAM run by the criminal Steinkeller Brothers. The link to her former marianalw.com website no longer works.

On XING, Mariana mentions her involvement in the Conligus scam run by the Steinkeller Brothers—without specifying the time period—in addition to her work as a networker at Organo Gold from March 2012 to June 2014. She also provides a link to conligusglobal.conligus.com, but that website no longer exists.

What scam followed Organo Gold, Conligus, and OneCoin in Mariana’s “career” as a network marketer? Apex International and Well Beyond.
My comment from October 16, 2019, on the topic of Apex International.
