Ernie Ganz & David Barker def judgments granted ($953K)
The Traffic Monsoon Receivership has secured default judgments against promoters Ernest “Ernie” Ganz and David Barker.
Together, the pair of scammers are up for $953,195.
With respect to Ernie Ganz (right), the court accepted as fact that he stole $448,051 from Traffic Monsoon victims.
Ganz has failed to appear, plead, or file an answer in this action.
The time allowed by law for Ganz to plead or answer has expired.
On December 23rd default judgment was entered against Ganz, comprising of
- $448,051 in clawback;
- $87,864 in prejudgment interest; and
- $4907 in additional prejudgment interest.
The Receiver is also entitled to collect postjudgment interest until Ganz pays the above amounts.
David Barker (right) had similar findings against him, having stolen $340,418 from Traffic Monsoon victims.
Barker has failed to appear, plead, or file an answer in this action.
The time allowed by law for Barker to plead or answer has expired.
Barker’s $540,824 default judgment amount is made up of
- $340,418 in clawback;
- $68,224 in prejudgment interest; and
- $3728 in additional prejudgment interest.
Unlike Ganz, Barker doesn’t appear to have had an additional postjudgment interest penalty awarded against him.
The Receiver filed suit against several top Traffic Monsoon net-winners in April 2019. Ganz’s and Barkers’ judgments are the first case resolutions.
Clawback proceedings against individual defendants Imtiaz Aslam, Piotr Chajkowski, Vincent Boutin, Maurizio Longo, Mohammed Yasn, Adil Khan, Javediqbal Naeem and Sharon James continues.
Earlier this month the SEC secured a $2.5 million default judgment against Traffic Monsoon owner Charles Scoville.
Update 1st October 2023 – Following David Barker’s default judgment, the Traffic Monsoon Receiver domesticated the judgment.
In what appears to be an attempt to weasel out of paying back his victims, Barker filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the first half of 2023.

During the Reporting Period, David Barker filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of North Carolina and received a Chapter 7 discharge.
Clawback efforts against Ernie Ganz continue.
I think one of the reasons why Ernie didn’t challenge the Receiver is because he was afraid if he did they would come after him for his Traffic Hurricane Ponzi.
He should be thankful his TH Ponzi was a dud or he could have been in really serious hurt like Charles.
I think that is the only reason why the Feds didn’t go after him as it wasn’t worth their time and not enough complaints it collapsed so fast.
