Does low MLM startup cost = low risk opportunity?
One of the biggest turnoffs of a MLM business opportunity can be an extraordinarily high initial investment cost to new prospects.
Despite still being lower than the initial investment cost of a traditional ‘brick and mortar’ business, due to the nature of MLM many potential leads still find it hard to get around.
Realising this, one of the key marketing factors of a lot of recent MLM companies has been an advertised low entry point for new members. In doing this, one of the key marketing factors in turn becomes the fact that, because the MLM opportunity initial investment is so low, that this equates to little or no risk on behalf of the lead.
Today I’m going to tell you why this is not so. [Continue reading…]
AutoXTen Review: Legally turn $10 into $199,240?
Make no mistake, the premise of a one time investment of ten dollars potentially turning into nearly two hundred thousand is an attractive proposition.
Legalities and scams aside, the claim itself is definitely more than enough to warrant a closer look by someone and that’s exactly what AutoXTen are counting on to spread the word.
Turn $10 into $199,240… sounds simple enough, but what exactly do you have to do to earn it? And more importantly, is the AutoXTen MLM business opportunity legit?
Let’s find out. [Continue reading…]
The Secret’s James Arthur Ray guilty of manslaughter
One of the biggest criticisms I have of the MLM personal development niche is that it seems to be populated with self taught ‘feel good’ gurus.
Whereas in the real world people look at credentials and education, in MLM all of this seems to go out the window in favour of liking what you hear.
No matter how simple the message or how much you might agree with it, there’s a lot to be said for people making a living simply telling others what they want to hear.
That life is easy and they have all the shortcut answers.
Say it enough times and you might even convince people to hand over money just to hear your wisdom. Thus is the foundation for the personal development niche in MLM.
For the most part you’ve got a bunch of people running around claiming abundance in life and the methodology of teaching you to exactly how to achieve it yourself.
Because y’know, the diversity of life is so easily addressed with cookie cutter textbook systems.
A few years ago ‘The Secret’ was all the rage in such personal development circles. Despite being authored by Rhonda Byrne, James Arthur Ray’s name became heavily attached to the book as a result of his feature in the film by the same name.
Marketed heavily by distributors of numerous MLM companies, the idea was that whilst The Secret and people like James Arthur Ray (photo right) shared with you a secret so powerful that it had the ability to completely change your life, readers were still left wondering how to apply it.
Well, that’s where MLM and the personal development industry came in. All of a sudden you had every Tom, Dick and Harry offering you lifestyle enrichment and promising to show you how to apply the principles of The Secret into your very own life.
All for a hefty sum of money of course.
These people, who had done nothing more than read the book themselves had all of a sudden transcended the wisdom barrier and taken it upon themselves to make a living attempting to convince other people to change their lives by handing over large sums of money.
On the weaker side of the scale this brought with it mass financial ruin and many years of repair to truly get over the damage caused, but on the much more sinister side of things… you had outright negligence.
Turns out if you’re just kinda making things up as you go along and don’t really know what you’re doing – lives can be lost.

Javanomics reduces Javita to a numbers game
Javanomics is the official training division of the recently launched MLM coffee company, Javita.
I’m still not entirely sure when Javanomics plan to launch, but the launch date must be getting nearer as we’re starting to see more and more promotional and training material being released.
Last week I covered what Javanomics are calling the ‘sampling system‘. In essence Javita distributors are encouraged to rely on handing out samples to their prospects in order to convince them to join the company.
These samples are a hidden cost to distributors over time but from Javita’s perspective bolster their product sales so are encouraged.
Today I’m going to look at some more training material released by Javanomics, namely related to their vision on where they see Javita in 2012.
As it stands, Javita’s 2012 vision sees them hoping to create 100,000 debt free members, 10,000 home free members (uh home free, as in without homes?), 1,000 sig figure earners and 10 millionaires.
Whether or not Javita will reach this goal is of course debatable but I suppose in the interim you need to create some motivation for your members to get out there and market the company and its coffee.
What is interesting however is the possible methodology being touted by Javanomics in order to help Javita’s sales field reach the company’s projected goals.
Unfortunately when you boil down the hype and look at how exactly Javanomics are marketing Javita and encouraging Javita members to market the company, all we’re really looking at here is a numbers game.
Recruit enough people and encourage them to do the same and watch the dollars and success start rolling in. [Continue reading…]
Javita marketing emphasises top member drawback
Back when I first looked at the Javita business opportunity, I identified one of major drawbacks potential distributors were going to face was in the amount of product required to be given out as samples.
When we decide if a coffee is good or not, do we necessarily care where or how it’s made? No.
What do we rely on? Taste.
Trying to sell someone coffee without them actually having tasted the product is a truly futile exercise. As a coffee drinker just ask yourself, ‘would I commit to buying coffee without actually having tried it first?’
Sure, you might take a gamble at the supermarket – but we all know that unless the coffee company is having a promotion, the supermarket itself isn’t going to let you taste test anything.
Meanwhile as an independent member of Javita trying to convince someone Javita coffee is the best tasting in the world, what’s the easiest way to go about this?
Offer them a taste test sample.
Naturally Javita themselves aren’t going to compensate you for this and due to the samples counting as product being sold from a company standpoint, they might even actively encourage it.
Now that we’re in the post launch stages of Javita and official marketing material is starting to trickle out, unfortunately this seems to be the case. [Continue reading…]
Is success in MLM simply a matter of time?
When it comes to success in MLM on the part of the distributor, associate, marketer or whatever you want to call yourself, there seems to be two schools of thought.
On one side we have those that believe you either have it or you don’t. That’s not to say that if you don’t have it you’re a lost cause, just that you’re going to need a suitable amount of training and preparation to ‘get it’.
And even then, that’s not a guarantee of success.
Then on the otherside of the fence we have those that believe anyone can do it, if they put in enough time.
What works for one person is duplicatable for anyone and if someone fails, it’s just because they didn’t put in enough time to whatever opportunity they’re trying to succeed in.
Success, as they put it, is merely a personal choice.
One proponent of this is Polaris Global’s co-founder, Rachel Oliver. [Continue reading…]

Qnanza Review: Coupons + member driven advertising
Over the last few years the online coupon marketplace has grown significantly. Starting off with sites that just published the same coupons you’d find on the back of your receipts or in those booklets dropped in your mailbox, the niche has grown so much that it’s now a fully fledged industry of its own.
With Groupon worth billions of dollars and the likes of Facebook and Google entering the market with their various coupon offerings, it’s long overdue that someone came up with the idea to pair it with a MLM offering.
Today we’re going to look at one business opportunity that does just that, Qnanza. [Continue reading…]
AdMatrix Review: Holland enters Indian scam market
With the news yesterday of India applying laws dating back to 1956 to modern internet companies, it seems India is set for a flood of offshore based companies entering the market – each wanting their share of India’s booming pyramid scheme scam sector.
One of the newer startups is the AdMatrix, based out of Holland (the Netherlands).
Headed up by Anne Wessel, the AdMatrix are claiming that their advertising model, ‘participative matrix marketing’, is far more effective than traditional forms of television, cinema, online and print advertising?
Why?
Because those watching the advertisements actually want to.
The AdMatrix claim that via the more traditional methods of advertising delivery, consumers have become adblind. They site statistics on television advertising time in a given hour in the US and television users habits of changing channels when ads come on.
With the AdMatrix model, viewers have to watch an entire ad, as failing to do so results in them not getting paid.
Sounds good in theory, but unfortunately AdMatrix’s participative matrix marketing is not without it’s own drawbacks.
Well, that and the fact that the AdMatrix compensation plan is heavily geared towards recruitment.
Read on for a full review of the AdMatrix MLM business opportunity. [Continue reading…]
Outdated laws mean Speak Asia free to operate in India
Last month in response to public complaints and a media expose into the inner workings of Speak Asia, Indian regulators announced that they were launching investigations into the company.
Since then however we haven’t heard much.
