In a warning issued to consumers, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority has revealed that London police are now investigating OneCoin. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is a finance regulator in the UK that operates independently of the UK government.

The ruse behind OneCoin using newly invested funds to pay off existing investors is that the company sells cryptocurrency education. This education is delivered in the form of lengthy PDF files, filled with content either copied from third-parties with no attribution or loosely rewritten. On July 27th Mirosława Suchonia filed an inquiry with the Polish Ministry of Justice regarding OneCoin. Suchonia sought comment on whether or not OneCoin was potentially breaching Poland’s banking laws. On September 13th a response from Łukasz Piebiak, the Minister of Justice, was published on the Sejm (Poland’s lower house of parliament) website.

Over the last 24 hours reports have emerged that suggest OneCoin may have lost their Deutsche Bank account late last week. OneCoin affiliates have confirmed that Deutsche Bank has been removed as a deposit option from the OneCoin backoffice:
