Help warn New Zealand about Liberty League
Foreword: The following is a guest post from Michele Ong. Michele writes for student newspaper Te Waha Nui.
Dear all,
My name’s Michele and I am a student journalist from AUT University, Auckland, New Zealand.
I write for our student newspaper, Te Waha Nui. It basically means “The Big Mouth” in Maori.
I am doing a story on the rise of employment scams during this recessionary period and have come across a few LLI associates advertising in my local community paper.
I would like to speak to any ex-LLI members (preferably if you are in New Zealand but if you aren’t, it does not matter either) about your experiences with the company and word of advice to other people.
I am happy to keep you anonymous.
I have lodged a report with New Zealand’s Commerce Commission and am waiting for them to get back to me about it.
Please email me your experiences to mxz.ongATgmail.com.
I need the story to be done by September 4, 2009, so if you see this post, please get typing immediately!
I must not allow the people of New Zealand to be victimised!
Is Tony Rush taking over Liberty League?
This morning when I woke up before writing my previous post I had a routine look around at what had happened in the world overnight and did some brief site maintenance. After I’d written my post I had a quick check on the Liberty League website to see if anything had change.
Something “game changing” was supposed to be announced today so I was curious.
Nothing had changed but I left the website open as I headed out the door for some breakfast to meet up with a friend. When I got back I noticed something strange.
Something I’m sure I hadn’t seen before. [Continue reading…]
Liberty League found to be pyramid scheme in Australia
Yes it’s official.
Yesterday afternoon Rod gave us the exciting news that the NSW office of fair trading had classified Liberty League as a pyramid scheme. Eager to confirm the news myself I sent them an email last night and decided to follow it up with a phone call this morning.
I just got off the phone to the NSW office of fair trading and can now confirm that Liberty League has been found to be a pyramid trading scheme and is illegal to participate in or promote in the Australian state of New South Wales.
The following is a direct quote verbatim read out to me by the NSW office of fair trading. [Continue reading…]
Liberty League sites defaced by Pakistani hackers
It’s been a rough week for some of the Australian Liberty League associates.
It started with a curious email from Rachel Oliver. [Continue reading…]
Reporting Liberty League to the Australian authorities
If you’re reading this page it’s probably because either you’re doing some research into Liberty League before joining or unfortunately have already lost thousands and have very little to show for it.
If you’re just looking for further information on Liberty League I suggest you start from the beginning. You might want to go grab a coffee and something to eat because there’s a fair bit of info to get through.
If you fall into the latter category I hate to be the one to break bad news to you but there’s probably not much hope of recovering any of your money from Liberty League. Refunds must be approved by Liberty League but if granted must come out of your advisor’s pocket.
Unfortunately for you your advisor is either dirt poor and has probably already spent your money on future conference tickets, advertising campaigns or other get-rich-quick schemes. If you’re “lucky” and your advisor is one of the successful leaders, well then their probably too busy buying new shoes, Porches and apartments to waste time giving you a refund.
They didn’t get rich giving associates refunds now did they.
At this point it can be rather depressing and it’s easy to feel somewhat helpless, that’s where this article comes in. [Continue reading…]
Liberty League Associates start offering discounts
Liberty League’s Supercharged Saturday is almost around the corner and in a bid to capitalize on the event, associates have begun to discount conference tickets.
The one day event which runs for 12 hours is being held on Saturday August 29th at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in Queensland.
I can confirm at least one summit advisor is offering the discount but am not sure if they all are. Given all associates are supposed to comply with the same rules and marketing conditions I imagine though that the same discounts have been rolled out Australia-wide. [Continue reading…]
Liberty League bans advertising income potential
In a recent communication to its associates during a Summit Advisor Mastermind call, Liberty League has banned the use of dollar amounts and the word ‘potential’ in marketing.
The ban comes from the internal compliance department and covers online, offline and verbal advertising.
Associates are no longer allowed to advertise specific dollar amounts (ie. EARN $500,000 in your first year OMG!), or use the word potential (ie. earn a potential $100,000 CEO income in your first month!) to represent incomes.
No official reason has been made public (as far as I know) as to why after eight years of operating in the US and two in Australia Liberty League have decided to implement the ban. [Continue reading…]
Top Liberty League earners abandon ship. It’s over.
Over the last 48 hours shockwaves have torn through Liberty league following the announcements that two of the most well known associates in Liberty League, Michael Hamburger and Rhonda Swan, have left the company.
It’s easy to brush off new associates quitting their business after trying to make it work as ‘not dedicated enough’ or ‘not following the system’. When your top earners start pulling out one after another however, it’s time to admit something’s not working.
So, why did they quit, what does this mean for Liberty League and more importantly what can new and prospective Australian associates learn from this? [Continue reading…]
Six Figure Chicks threatens Whirlpool community forum
Over the last few days there has been a hurricane of activity over at the Whirlpool broadband forums. The thread titled ‘Six Figure Chicks’ has received numerous spam entries and marketing spiel from Liberty League associates.
Despite numerous requests and active engaging with the associates by the Whirlpool community, to date nothing has been posted which remotely explains the Liberty League concept. Instead the thread has simply been flooded with the same vague positivism we’ve seen here on OzSoapbox by various associates. [Continue reading…]
Liberty League Beyond Freedom: What can $1495 get you?
Beyond Freedom is the flagship product of Liberty League International. After paying your $49 entry fee it is the first product you are qualified to re-sell and with 85% of Liberty League associates making $35,000 per annum or less, is as far as many get within the business.
With a retail price tag of $1495 and very little information about what’s actually in there on the internet, I decided to take a look at what’s inside the Beyond Freedom package. [Continue reading…]
