The Great Discovery Review: AI slop factory subscriptions
The Great Discovery operates in the ecommerce and AI MLM niches. The company provides a Hudson, Florida corporate address on its website.
Heading up the Great Discovery is co-CEOs Sandra Harry and Tim Taylor.
Sandra Harry doesn’t appear to have a publicly disclosed MLM history. Harry’s The Great Discovery corporate bio credits her as “Chairman of the Board for the Dr. Mikel J. Harry Six Sigma Management Institute”.
This ties into Mikel J. Harry being credited on the our team section of The Great Discovery’s website as “conceptualiz[ing] the need”. Harry died in 2017 and obviously has nothing to do with The Great Discovery.
Six Sigma, as far as I can tell, is a consulting firm with a training module backend. The original training platform was Six Sigma Academy, which was sold off after Harry died.
Sandra Harry’s Six Sigma Management Institute goes by SSMI and claims to be “the succeeding organization created after the sale of the Six Sigma Academy now known as SSA & Co.”
Tim Taylor’s The Great Discovery corporate bio credits him with “a track record of over thirty (30) years in the natural health and direct sales industries.”
The only MLM company I was able to tie Taylor to what Care Beyond, CBD opportunity.
Today Care Beyond doesn’t exist. The company’s official FaceBook page is still up, revealing Care Beyond went into prelaunch in May 2018.
The last post on Care Beyond’s FaceBook page is dated July 12th, 2018. This suggests, despite Care Beyond’s website being available into the early 2020s, Care Beyond as a viable MLM company was short-lived.
I couldn’t help but notice this June 2018 post on Care Beyond’s FaceBook page:
Unless I’m mistaken, that’s Sandra Harry – suggesting she was involved in Care Beyond on some level.
The Great Discovery’s website domain (“thegreatdiscovery.com”), was first registered in 2007. The private registration was last updated on November 27th, 2025.

The Great Discovery’s Products
The Great Discovery markets access to “courses and channels” on its “TGD Marketplace” platform.
Courses and channels are populated with content created by authors (creators), who pay $649 one-time or $299 and then $79 a month.
The Great Discovery also sells various subscriptions:
- AI Genius Club – access to MagAI aggregate AI slop tools platform, access costs $59 a month
- Discovery Vox – audio/video translation tool, access costs $4.97 a month
There’s also a “books” section on The Great Discovery’s website, wherein a “Bentley book series” is sold.
Credited authors of the series are Sandra Harry and Catherine Lawson. The series description sounds exactly what today’s children are looking for in books;
The Bentley book series is based on The Great Discovery, the 4th generation of Six Sigma, teaching children K-3rd grade that dreams are achievable.
The Bentley activity book series is filled with lessons and experiences based on the Bentley book series. There are 6 books in the complete series.
Bentley books start at $15 and are available in various discounted bundles.
Finally we have “coaching tokens” at $25 each.
You’ll note the very helpful description: “coaching tokens”. I’m assuming whatever coaching tokens are they’re primarily only available for promoters (no retail customer is buying a product with no description).
The Great Discovery’s Compensation Plan
The Great Discovery’s compensation plan pays on selling products and subscriptions to retail customers and recruited promoters.
The Great Discovery Promoter Ranks
There are theoretically an unlimited number of promoter ranks within The Great Discovery’s compensation plan.
Along with their respective qualification criteria, they are as follows:
- Independent Affiliate – sign up as a The Great Discovery promoter (no MLM commissions or bonuses)
- Active Affiliate – sign up for a monthly Genius Club subscription, or sell $40 worth of products/subscriptions each month, or purchase $40 worth of products/subscriptions each month
- Qualified Affiliate – recruit two Active Affiliates or higher ranked promoters
- Qualified Affiliate 1 Star – maintain Qualified Affiliate and generate $375 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Qualified Affiliate 2 Star – maintain Qualified Affiliate and generate $750 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Qualified Affiliate 3 Star – maintain Qualified Affiliate and generate $1125 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Silver Affiliate – recruit four Active Affiliates or higher and generate $1500 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Silver Affiliate 1 Star – maintain Silver Affiliate and generate $3625 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Silver Affiliate 2 Star – maintain Silver Affiliate and generate $5750 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Silver Affiliate 3 Star – maintain Silver Affiliate and generate $7875 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Gold Affiliate – recruit six Active Affiliates or higher and generate $10,000 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Gold Affiliate 1 Star – maintain Gold Affiliate and generate $26,250 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Gold Affiliate 2 Star – maintain Gold Affiliate and generate $42,500 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Gold Affiliate 3 Star – maintain Gold Affiliate and generate $58,750 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Platinum Affiliate – recruit eight Active Affiliates or higher and generate $75,000 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
- Platinum Affiliate Stars – maintain Platinum Affiliate and receive 1 Star rank per additional $75,000 in downline sales volume over the prior five weeks
Marketplace Commissions
For the purpose of compensation, The Great Discovery groups content sold by creators on its platform as “Marketplace Commissions”.
Marketplace Commissions are paid as 30% to 70% of revenue generated by products listed by creators:
- Premium Courses pay 30%
- Academy Offers and Channel Content pays 70%
Note commissions are also paid to creators if they sell the products themselves:
- 44% is paid on Premium Course sales
- 76% is paid on Academy Offers and Channel Content
For those who recruit, a 5% commission is paid on MarketPlace Commissions earned by personally recruited promoters and/or referred creators.
Referral Commissions
The Great Discovery pays a 20% referral commission on product and subscription services to personally referred retail customers and recruited promoters.
Note for creator listed products, this is in addition to Marketplace Commissions (see “Marketplace Commissions” above).
Residual Commissions
The Great Discovery pays residual commissions via a binary compensation structure.
A binary compensation structure places a promoter at the top of a binary team, split into two sides (left and right):
The first level of the binary team houses two positions. The second level of the binary team is generated by splitting these first two positions into another two positions each (4 positions).
Subsequent levels of the binary team are generated as required, with each new level housing twice as many positions as the previous level.
Positions in the binary team are filled via direct and indirect recruitment of promoters. Note there is no limit to how deep a binary team can grow.
Residual commissions are paid per “cycle” generated across the binary team. A cycle is generated per $100 in sales volume matched on both sides of the binary team ($200 in sales volume total).
Residual commissions are paid weekly per cycles generated for the week, based on rank:
- Independent Affiliates don’t earn residual commissions
- Qualified Affiliates earn $10 per cycle, capped at $500 a week
- Silver Affiliates earn $12 per cycle, capped at $5000 a week
- Gold Affiliates earn $14 per cycle, capped at $25,000 a week
- Platinum Affiliates earn $16 per cycle, capped at $100,000 a week
Rank Achievement Bonus
The Great Discovery rewards promoters for qualifying at Silver Affiliate and higher with the following one-time Rank Achievement Bonuses:
- qualify at Silver Affiliate and receive $100
- qualify at Silver Affiliate 2 Star and receive $300
- qualify at Gold Affiliate and receive $500
- qualify at Gold Affiliate 2 Star and receive $2500
- qualify at Platinum Affiliate and receive $5000
- qualify at Platinum Affiliate Stars and receive $6000 per Star rank qualified for (no cap)
Rank Advancement Pool
The Great Discovery takes 5% of company-wide sales volume and places it into the Rank Advancement Pool.
- Silver Affiliates receive 1 share in the pool
- Gold Affiliates receive 2 shares in the pool
- Platinum Affiliates receive 3 shares in the pool
- Platinum Stars ranked promoters receive 3 additional shares per star rank (no cap) in the pool
Rank Pool Shares are paid out monthly.
Note while the pool percentages are fixed, “up to 5%” suggests the rates may be adjusted.
Joining The Great Discovery
The Great Discovery promoter membership is free.
Note however that free promoters who don’t qualify as Active Affiliates don’t earn MLM commissions (see compensation plan ranks in “The Great Discovery’s Compensation Plan” above).
The Great Discovery Conclusion
My first impression of The Great Discovery was it started as an ecommerce platform for content creators. Sometime later the AI slop factory was bolted on.
As far as I can make out, that was in fact the case until around mid 2025, wherein The Great Discovery began marketing its AI Genius subscription service.
That’s clearly the focus of the MLM opportunity now, as evidenced by a subscription qualifying a promoter for MLM commissions.
Without retail sales volume qualifiers, this drags The Great Discovery into potential pyramid scheme territory. The pyramid scheme being recruitment of The Great Discovery promoters who qualify for recruitment commissions with an AI Genius subscription.
Normally I’d give an MLM the benefit of the doubt on this, while still making it clear there’s the potential for a pyramid scheme.
I’m not confident The Great Discovery makes any effort on retail sales however, as evidenced by how it pitches AI Genius subscriptions:
Your Genius Club subscription keeps you Active, moving you beyond direct sales commissions and making you eligible for Network Community Overrides and bonus compensation.
The AI slop factory is the same generative garbage you can get anywhere else. The platform in 2026 is just a qualifier for commissions, paid on recruitment of promoters who also buy a subscription.
As with all MLM pyramid schemes, once promoter recruitment dries up so too will commissions.
This will see those at the bottom of The Great Discovery pyramid stop paying $59 a month. This in turn will see promoters above these cancelling promoters stop getting paid.
Unless new recruits are found quickly, these promoters will eventually also stop paying $59 a month. Once enough The Great Discovery promoters stop paying $59 a month, an irreversible collapse is triggered.
Math guarantees that when a pyramid scheme collapses, the majority of participants lose money.
