GrenMiner Review: 4.5% an hour crypto mining Ponzi scheme
GrenMiner provides no information on its website about who owns or runs the company.
GrenMiner’s website domain (“grenminer.com”), was privately registered on March 19th, 2022.
In an attempt to appear legitimate, GrenMiner provides incorporation details for “GrenMiner Limited”.
GrenMiner Limited was incorporated in the UK on March 22nd, 2022.
An MLM company operating or claiming to operate out of the UK is a red flag.
UK incorporation is dirt cheap and effectively unregulated. On top of that the FCA, the UK’s top financial regulator, do not actively regulate MLM related securities fraud.
As a result the UK is a favored jurisdiction for scammers looking to incorporate, operate and promote fraudulent companies.
For the purpose of MLM due-diligence, incorporation in the UK or registration with the FCA is meaningless.
In the source-code of GrenMiner’s website we find reference to Jivo, a Russian support chat app:
This strongly suggests whoever is running GrenMiner has ties to Russia.
To that end the Central Bank of Russia issued a GrenMiner financial fraud warning on June 9th.
As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money. [Continue reading…]
Let’s Yarn Review: Etsy themed “click a button” app Ponzi
Let’s Yarn provides no credible information on its website about who owns or runs the company.
In place of actual company ownership information, Let’s Yarn provides corporate information for Etsy. This information is copied from Etsy’s Wikipedia entry.
Let’s Yarn’s website domain (“letsyarn.com”), was first registered in 2019.
The registration was last updated with bogus details on March 15th, 2022. I believe this is when the current owner(s) took possession of the domain.
if we take a look at Let’s Yarn’s website source-code, we can see localization is set to Chinese:
This strongly suggests whoever is running Let’s Yarn has ties to China.
SimilarWeb ranks top sources of traffic to Let’s Yarn’s website as Switzerland (75%), Russia (6%) and Belarus (5%).

SimilarWeb currently ranks top sources of traffic to BNBSeed’s website as Poland (38%), Vietnam (18%) and Norway (17%).

Meta Utopia Review: Minecraft ripoff metaverse grift Ponzi
Meta Utopia provides no information on its website about who owns or runs the company.
Meta Utopia’s website domain (“meta-utopia.io”), was privately registered on March 10th, 2022.
Most of the Meta Utopia marketing I came across was in Spanish and Italian:
This syncs with SimilarWeb, who track Spain (48%) as the top source of traffic to Meta Utopia’s website. Italy at 36% comes in second, although month on month visits are in decline.
On a since-deleted Latin America FaceBook promoting Meta Utopia, I came across the claim Sam Lee is behind the company:
I wasn’t able to personally verify this.
Last we heard Sam Lee was fronting HyperOne, a spinoff of his already thrice collapsed Hyperverse Ponzi scheme.
Lee is believed to be hiding from authorities in Dubai. If he is in fact behind Meta Utopia, that would mean it too is being run from Dubai.
Another possibility is Singapore. A reader sent in this photo, taken from Nicholas Coppola’s Instagram feed:
Note the Marina Bay Singapore geolocation.
Interestingly enough Nicholas Coppola has deleted his Instagram account sometime over the past few weeks.
I might be reading too much into the name, but Coppola’s involvement could explain the initial burst in Meta Utopia Italian recruitment.
Coppola’s FaceBook page is still up, revealing he’s based out of Verona, Italy:
last year he was promoting IM Mastery Academy:
It seems sometime after August 2021 Coppola reinvented himself as a crypto bro. He apparently is high enough in Meta Utopia to party with the founder in Singapore back in March.
Whether Coppola himself is involved in running Meta Utopia is unclear.
As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money. [Continue reading…]
VIP Global Stars: LaCore Enterprises “making VIP more accessible”
VIP Global Stars operates in the nutritional supplement MLM niche.
The company is based out of Texas and owned by LaCore Enterprises.
As is consistent with LaCore Enterprises companies, owner Terry LaCore does not front VIP Global Stars.
Instead VIP Global Global Stars is headed up by co-CEOs Eric Caprarese and Larry Lane.
BehindMLM last came across Eric Caprarese (right) in 2019, as founder and CEO of One World Network.
One World Network was a spinoff of B-Epic which, at the time Caprarese was also President and CEO of.
Caprarese still cites himself as President and CEO of B-Epic on his LinkedIn profile.
Based on Caprarese’s LinkedIn profile, One World Network, which essentially functioned as a pyramid scheme, appears to have collapsed on or around March 2022.
For reference, VIP Global Stars launched at the end of April 2022.
Larry Lane was B-Epic’s Master Distributor. After BehindMLM published our updated 2018 review, Lane attempted to spam our comments with a referral link.
Before that Lane was tied to Rippln. Circa 2020 Lane was in Caprarese’s One World Network and promoting Total Life Changes.
By 2021 Lane had reinvented himself as a crypto bro. Circa February 2021 he was promoting multiple MLM crypto Ponzi schemes.
MLM crypto Ponzis referenced in the above February 2021 video include Beurax, Daisy AI and Solar Oil Project. Lane was likely involved in others.
Evidently at some point Lane stopped promoting crypto Ponzi schemes (at least publicly). He re-partnered with Caprarese (who as far as I know never went MLM crypto scamlord), and that brings us to VIP Global Star’s launch in 2022.
Read on for a full review of VIP Global Stars’ MLM opportunity. [Continue reading…]
