GiveOpp announces launch date and CEO Mark Cosby
The GiveOpp website itself is still in members only lockdown mode but over the last few weeks several people involved in the company have been publishing press releases.
The two major points from the press releases are the announcement of GiveOpp’s launch date, July 4th 2010 and the name of the CEO behind the company, Mark Cosby. [Continue reading…]
Magic Power Coffee: Combining sex, coffee and MLM
In principle mixing coffee with an aphrodisiac makes sense. Sex requires energy and coffee is probably the best known stimulant out there. So why not combine the two?
Putting people in the mood for sex and giving them the energy to do it is exactly what Magic Power Coffee have set out to do. [Continue reading…]
Brent Payne outsourcing CompanyNameTBA to Tyler Hurst?
Brent Payne is one of the co-founders of the now defunct Liberty League International. In 2009 Payne abruptly left Liberty League and to date an official reason has never surfaced. Whatever the reason was for Payne’s departure from Liberty League, it’s probably a safe bet it’s buried under a mountain of non-disclosure agreements.
Meanwhile whilst rumours of marital affairs, refusing to join Scientology, pursuing his music career and other reasons for his sudden departure raced around the internet, Brent Payne stayed low and was not heard from up until recently.
About a month ago Payne resurfaced on the internet in a Youtube clip “Brent Payne steps forward”.
The clip seemed to indicate that Payne was getting ready to launch a new business opportunity.
The video itself doesn’t reveal much else however a new blog, ‘Company Name TBA’ (companynametba.com) went public in early April. Thus far Company Name TBA has been used to write about topics related to personal development.
The author(s) of Company Name TBA for now appear to be anonymous publishing under the pseudonym ‘boss’, however the content is written as a collective (the use of ‘we’ is quite common).
Recently I stumbled across a tidbit of information which seems to shed some light on who exactly ‘we’ is. [Continue reading…]
Revealed: The GiveOpp.com business opportunity
A couple of days ago, reader Kat left a comment regarding a supposed new MLM business opportunity start up involving John and Shannon Lavenia of ex-EMC Polaris Global fame;
Heard John and Shannon Lavenia are raiding the Polaris nest also with some new business they are launching this week Oz ..
everything is secret about it with anyone wanting to know details signing Non Disclosure Forms.
Since then a bit more information has trickled about but mostly everyone seems to be in the dark over just what this new business opportunity involves.
So far it’s been alleged that giveopp.com has something to do with travel, involves the Lavenias and is/was linked to their friend and business partner from Liberty League International Don Glanville.
Armed with nothing more then the above seemingly unrelated bits of information I decided to do some poking around and see if I could piece together anything.
Here’s what I found. [Continue reading…]
LiveSmart 360 – A Prelaunch Overview
In just 17 days a new MLM company is set to launch, LiveSmart 360. Up until recently details about this new company have been scarce. Whilst a little bit of information has been released, unless you’re willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement there’s not that much to go on.
Today I thought I’d take a look at some of the information that has so far been released about the LiveSmart 360 MLM business opportunity. [Continue reading…]
Polaris Global Marketing Scam blog suspended
Sometime over the last 48 hours Rhamnousia’s ‘Polaris Global Marketing Scam?’ blog has been suspended for a violation of WordPress’ terms of service.
Initially I thought Polaris Global might have thrown some weight around to get the information removed but after having a quick look at the terms and conditions it seems to be just a routine suspension. [Continue reading…]
How Polaris Global can restore some of its credibility
Over the past fortnight we’ve seen two attempts by Polaris Global to combat some of the criticism the company has received under its various names over the past twelve months.
The first was the setting up of ‘Polaris Global Facts‘ and the second a blog post by Lisa Molina attempting to defend Polaris Global with Scientology’s ‘attack the attacker’ methodology.
What both these attempts have failed to do are address primary concerns and questions that have raised at Polaris Global with any real accuracy.
The concerns that have been addressed have relied purely on the Scientology principle of ‘attacking the attacker’ without actually providing any hard information.
When I first started writing about Liberty League International it didn’t take long for an avalanche of accusations to be hurled my way originating from within Liberty League itself.
Primarily the information and opinions I was providing were dismissed under the banner of alleging that I was working for a rival company.
Given that this was mid 2009, it appears the Scientology ‘attack the attacker’ policy was being utilised long before any concrete link was made between Polaris Media Group and Scientology.
Whether active Polaris distributors at the time knew they were using the policy or not remains unknown.
Regardless, when confronted with these accusations I was quick to pen a direct response ‘Why I write about Liberty League International’.
The response didn’t simply question the credibility of the accusers (who were mostly anonymous Polaris distributors anyway), but instead provided credible information and put to rest any rumours that had been circulating as to what OzSoapbox was and who was behind it.
As a result of this information being published by myself the accusations mostly stopped. The few people that did raise the point after the article was published were simply pointed to it and most were never heard from again.
Polaris Global seem to be either incompetent or either unwilling to directly address any of the valid concerns and questions that have been raised at them.
Today I thought I’d do the company a favour and outline just what those concerns and questions are. Whether they’ll answer them however is another matter but at least this way they can’t claim ignorance. [Continue reading…]
Polaris Global distributor uses Scientology defense
Rhamnousia posted an interesting entry on the Polaris Global Scam wordpress blog yesterday briefly analysing content supposedly put out by Polaris Global.
Rhamnousia addressed some points that appeared to be from a list or series of information published by Polaris Global itself, or one of its distributors.
There wasn’t any source credited for the information so I hit up Google and it wasn’t too hard to find the source. Turns out Lisa Molina has published a new entry ‘Information or MIS information Age – the internet and Polaris Global‘ on her blog ‘Molina Family – Mo Lifestyle’.
It’s worth noting that around the time of Polaris Media Group’s launch in September 2009, many distributors started their own blogs in an attempt to bury negative information about Polaris on the internet. Most of these blogs are now defunct as their owners realised that a hell of a lot of work and research goes into running a blog properly.
Lisa’s last blog entry prior to this one was September 9th, 2009 indicating it was also on the defunct blog pile. I’m not sure why she’s chosen to resurrect it now.
Whatever the reason, I read through the complete set of points Molina had written about and couldn’t help but notice they all seem to reflect the tenants of Scientology’s ‘attack the attacker’ policy.
Intentional or just wild co-incidence? [Continue reading…]
Dubli Unique Bid Auctions: What are the pros and cons?
One of the two types of auctions made available to buyers on Dubli is the Unique Bid auction.
In Dubli’s Unique Bid auctions buyers place bids with Dubli credits over a fixed length of time the auction runs for. At the conclusion of the auction the winner is the buyer with the lowest unique bid.
Today I thought I’d take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of this auction model. [Continue reading…]
Comparing eBay and Dubli: A buyer’s perspective
In my last article on the Dubli Network I had a look at some of the claims and comparisons made by Dubli against online auction heavyweight eBay. For the most part Dubli seem quite confident that their different styles of auction from the traditional eBay model will be more fun and benefit buyers.
These two factors are primarily what Dubli are basing their confidence in the success of their business model on.
Are buyers really better off using Dubli’s Xpress and Unique Bid auctions?
Let’s have a look. [Continue reading…]
