Bulgaria to prosecute Ruja Ignatova, reward bumped to $5 mill
A joint-statement from Bulgarian and US authorities has revealed plans for the Bulgarian Prosecutor’s Office to charge Ruja Ignatova in absentia.
The FBI is also upping its bounty on information that leads to Ignatova’s arrest to $5 million.
As reported by Novinite on June 26th;
At a joint press conference in the Courthouse, Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, US Ambassador Kenneth Merten, and State Agency “National Security” Head Plamen Tonchev outlined the collaboration between Bulgaria and the US in investigating criminal activities related to OneCoin.
The specifics of the charges against Ignatova under Bulgarian law were not disclosed during the conference, which did not include a Q&A session with journalists.
The announcement coincides with the FBI upping its previous $250,000 bounty on Ignatova to $5 million.
The United States Department of State’s Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Ruja Ignatova.
Ruja Ignatova is the founder of OneCoin, a multi-billion dollar MLM crypto Ponzi. OneCoin collapsed in 2017 and Ruja Ignatova hasn’t been seen since she disappeared in October that year.
Leading theories are that the Bulgarian mafia had Ignatova murdered on a yacht, or that she’s hiding in Dubai or Russia.
The elephant in the room for Bulgarian authorities is OneCoin’s still operational headquarters in Sofia. A BehindMLM reader observed the offices this week and provided an interesting account.
Ownership has been divested into shell companies with “new owners and managers” but the companies are still
connected directly or through proxies to Ruzha Ignatova during One Coin’s expansion.
Pressing charges against someone in absentia is easy. Personally I won’t believe Bulgarian authorities are taking OneCoin seriously till the Sofia office is shut down.
That and investigating and pressing charges against Christophoros Amanatidis-Taki, a Bulgarian national hiding in Dubai.
If Ruja Ignatova is dead, Taki, reported to be the head of the Bulgarian mafia, is believed to have ordered the hit.
Taki is suspected of being the primary beneficiary of the billions laundered through OneCoin that remain unaccounted for.
If Ruja Ignatova is alive, Taki, along with Frank Schneider, Ignatova’s personal spy-master and a wanted fugitive, are believed to know where she is.
Konstantin was giving yesterday one of his seminars in a wrestling club. The journalist who publish his sports podcast with him told me.
I went there, was around a few parents and 50 teenagers, no media. Konstantin came riding a bicycle, not a tall guy, but looks very intimidating with all tattoos and muscles in person. He spoke to the kids around 30 minutes, talked about impact bad actions have on others.
He talked a lot what impact crime has on people. Spoke about onecoin victims, how much he hurt people. That no money is worth doing this to people. you will never forgive yourself. Also the heavy impact it has on people you love.
He showed kids some media stuff, told them if you do crime once, this is what you will always be associated with, doesn’t matter how hart you fight to live a honest life after. Go to school and stay on the wrestling mat, don’t hurt other people out of egoism.
He answered the kids questions. Even the question about his sister, if he knows where she is. He told them, he he doesn’t and he hopes he will never know.
Kids were pretty shocked how detailed he explained a lot. But they listened.
When he started training them with their coaches and I left. Don’t know if he spoke after again.
I wait for podcast and give summary.
Answering kid’s questions about Ruja is something I guess. Still don’t know why this topic is avoided with “adult” media though.
If kids are intelligent enough to go straight to the elephant in the room, what idiots does Konstantin think are watching his interviews? Someone should also ask him about Taki.
If you’re in contact with someone referring to themselves as a journalist, can you ask them why he didn’t ask any questions about Ruja and Taki? Seems irresponsible.
(Appreciate the info you’ve already shared and don’t want to put you on the spot. All good if you’re unable to ask.)
Well this is a romantic illusion if he knows about him that he will talk publicly. Nobody does, and there are reasons why.
But he is the only criminal in Bulgaria who goes public and says I did wrong. I don’t like him. But I respect talking about his crime. Taking his responsibility and showing consequences to children to leave bad behind.
And about asking. I wanted to go and ask Konstantin. But I did not. I don’t know the way he talked about what he did or his physical appearance. In internet we all talk, but looking at him you think different, you’re scared.
The journalist I know says journalis were digging for him here nonstop. He was in no company, no evidence of touching money, any of the mansions, or any realation with taki.
Prosecutors in usa said at sentencing he had regular salary. I also heard on his phone what fbi have, there where a lot of conversation where he is asking ruja and get lies about company. Journalist said Konstantin has a copy of it from his lawyer and showed a bit.
He is the brother so all think he is like ruja. If he would have money he would run to Dubai and not live in Bulgaria where everyone can find him. He knows Konstantin’s friends pretty good. All athletes, nobody from crime background.
And watch media here, they follow him. Just write about brother of ruja is going to concert. Yesterday on tv no word about him. I think he is really out.
When the Bulgarian authorities shut down OneEcosystem and charge the criminals running it, then I’ll get excited.
In the meantime these crooks continue to steal people’s money while operating in Bulgaria. These crooks aren’t hiding from them either.

They’ll probably never find Ruja. She’s either:
A) wearing a pair of cement shoes & at the bottom of some river, lake or other body of water, or
B) living a new life with a new face (thanks to plastic surgery paid by all of her victims).
But the corporate office and the main players in Sofia all moved to Hanoi. This is too late.

who?
@lol2407
The OneCoin scammers in Sofia have been claiming for several months that the new company headquarters are in Hanoi. Every newsletter since then contains this footnote:

The former office in Sofia is now empty and locked and all OneCoin lettering on the windows and doors has been removed. This was shown yesterday in a Bulgarian video on YouTube.
Interesting news from Konstantin!
Looks like oncoiners made fake profile of him and went scamming. This profile made title of a newspaper. Ok newspaper is shit, and nobody believes it, because it only talks who has sex with who.
But Konstantin went aggressive in his stories against all of it. But in Bulgarian so I translate.
Nobody in Bulgaria was buying OneCoin. Before the Ponzi collapsed OneCoin was pretty widespread. After the collapse recruitment shrivelled to the thirld-world.
Bulgarian authorities did nothing and continue to do nothing about Bulgarian scamming.
Weren’t Bulgarians who wanted to buy OneCoin not able to anyway? They’d have to use a VPN and give a non-Bulgarian address.
Something along the lines of you don’t shit where you eat.
