Global Mobile Network (also known as World Global Mobile Network, World GMN and Wor(l)d Global Mobile Network) launched in late 2010 and is headed up by CEO and President Fabio Galdi.

The company appears to be headquartered in Singapore, although Global Mobile Network also provides addresses in Italy (marketing and logistics) and China (product design and manufacture).

Prior to the launch of Global Mobile Network, Galdi (right) states on his LinkedIn profile that he was a “business partner” of Telme Network Pte Ltd between April 2006 and March 2010.

Telme Network doesn’t exist today, but seems to have been some sort of telecommunications based MLM company. Despite not being stated on his LinkedIn profile, I found affiliates crediting Galdi as the founder of Telme Network on various social media platforms.

The Global Mobile Network Product Line

The Global Mobile Network website is cluttered with irrelevant information and videos making it a laborious effort to ascertain what their products are.

As best I can tell, the company markets a tablet PC they call the “Diamond Pad” and a “mobile advertising delivery app” they call AdKash.

For the first time on the market, a mobile device is capable of generating continuous revenue for its users and for all entrepreneurs who take part in the project.

Our mobile devices are unique to the world. They pay you each time you receive a call, an sms or an mms, thanks to your innovative AdKash system.

A “video comm suite” also features on the Global Mobile Network website, which appears to be some sort of VOIP communications app.

As per a Global Mobile Network affiliate’s replicated online store, the prices for the company’s products are as follows:

  • Diamond Pad – $465
  • Unlimited calls via VOIP (monthly) – $55
  • Video Comm Suite (monthly) – $55
  • VOIP Airtime – $6, $12, $25 or $65 as required

There’s also something about “power clouds” where affiliates can buy “power panels” that supposedly generates “clean energy to the world”.

This information, although present on the Global Mobile Network redirects visitors to the Power Clouds website, which appears to be a separate company altogether. Global Mobile Network does feature on the Power Clouds website, indicating that it’s a subsidiary, child company or some such.

The Global Mobile Network Compensation Plan

The Global Mobile Network compensation plan primarily revolves around the recruitment of new affiliates at either the Master or Master Power levels.

Additionally retail commissions and various commissions and bonuses on the sales volume of an affiliate’s downline are also available.

Commission Qualification

In order to qualify for commissions, an affiliate must purchase at least 20 Personal Volume (PV) each month from their “affiliate store” or “stock center” every 30 days.

If a Global Mobile Network affiliate meets the above requirement, the company classifies them as “active”.

Retail Commissions

Global Mobile Network offer retail commissions on the sale of any of its products via replicated online storefronts.

Global Mobile Network define a retail commission as the difference between the retail price paid and wholesale price of a product.

Recruitment Commissions

Global Mobile Network offer recruitment commissions on the company’s “Power” and “Master Power” affiliate membership options.

How much of a commission earnt depends on an affiliate’s own affiliate membership option and how much a newly recruited affiliate pays for their membership:

  • Affiliate ($39) – no recruitment commissions available
  • Power ($600) – $60 on the recruitment of a new Master or Master Power affiliate
  • Master Power ($1600) – $120 on the recruitment of a new Master or Master Power affiliate

Binary Recruitment Commissions

In addition to the recruitment commissions available above, Global Mobile Network also utilise a binary compensation structure to pay affiliates residual recruitment commissions.

A binary compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of the structure with two positions directly under them.

binary-MLM-compensation-plan

These two positions form the beginning of two sides, with each position again branching out into another two positions and so on and so forth down a theoretically infinite number of levels.

Each position is filled via the recruitment of either a Master or Power Master affiliate. Positions can be filled either via direct recruitment or the recruiting efforts of an affiliate’s up and downlines.

As an affiliates binary fills up, Global Mobile Network group filled binary positions in what they call “bricks”.

A brick occurs when a personally recruited Master or Master Power affiliate recruits two new Master or Master Power affiliates of their own.

When this happens on one side of the binary, a brick is created and a Global Mobile Network affiliate is paid a $20 commission.

Binary Volume Commission

Both Global Mobile Network’s products and affiliate membership sales generate sales volume within the company. This sales volume is tracked as above using a binary compensation structure, with an affiliate’s own sales and that of their downline contributing to their team sales volume.

Again, using two sides of the binary, sales volume is tracked on each side with an affiliate receiving 20% of the volume created by the weaker side as a commission.

This volume is counted one hundred points at a time, with an affiliate paid $20 per 100 points of volume in their weaker binary leg.

Binary volume commissions are capped at $50,000 per week per business center, with Master Power affiliates able to have three business centres operational at once.

An additional 1% of the volume of the lesser team is kept in what Global Mobile Network call a “money-box”, with affiliates paid out whatever is in their money-box once every 12 months.

Matching Binary Volume Bonus

A matching bonus is available to Master and Master Power affiliates’ downline generated binary volume.

This matching bonus is tracked using a unilevel compensation structure. A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of the structure, with ever personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1).

unilevel-commission-structure

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates of their own, they are placed on level 2 of the unilevel. If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth, with Global Mobile Network paying out down 7 levels of recruitment.

How much of a matching bonus percentage is paid out and on how many levels is dependent on how much sales volume an affiliates lesser binary leg is generating each week:

  • Bronze (100 lesser side volume) – 10% on level 1
  • Silver (500 less side volume) – 10% on level 1
  • Gold 1 Star (1000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on level 2
  • Gold 2 Stars (2000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on level 2
  • Gold 3 Stars (3000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on level 2
  • Platinum (5000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on level 2
  • Diamond (10,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 and 3
  • White Diamond (15,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 and 3
  • Blue Diamond (20,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 and 3
  • Black Diamond (25,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 and 3
  • President Gold (50,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 to 4
  • President Platinum (100,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 to 5
  • President Diamond (150,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 to 6
  • President Millionaire (250,000 less side volume) – 10% on level 1 and 5% on levels 2 to 7

Power Unit Commissions

Power Unit commissions are available to Master Power affiliates and pay out $1 per Power Unit purchased by affiliates in their downline.

Power Unit purchases are tracked using a binary compensation structure and are paid out monthly.

Power Unit Residual Commissions

Master and Master Power Global Mobile Network affiliates are able to buy Power Units, with the purchase of each unit by a recruited affiliate generating a commission for Master Power affiliates.

The purchase of Power Units are again tracked using the same binary compensation structure used for recruitment commissions. When a Master affiliate in a Master Power affiliate’s binary team purchases a Power Unit a $60 commission is generated. If a Master Power affiliate purchases a Power Unit a $160 commission is generated.

Residual Power Unit commissions are capped at $150,000 a week.

AdKash Commissions

AdKash commissions are paid out weekly to Master and Master Power affiliates per recruited affiliate installing the AdKash application on a mobile device.

  • Master and Master Power affiliates installing AdKash generate $1 a week
  • Master and Master Power affiliates who aren’t “active” (see commission qualification above) generate 20 cents a week
  • Affiliates installing AdKash generate 5 cents a week

AdKash installs are tracked throughout an affiliate’s downline using a binary compensation structure as previously explained.

Dream Car Bonus

If an affiliate generates two bricks (one on each side of their binary) and maintains Diamond affiliate rank for four consecutive weeks, they qualify for a $1000 a month Dream Car Bonus.

If an affiliate maintains Diamond President for four consecutive months they qualify for a $4000 Super Car Bonus.

Joining Global Mobile Network

Affiliate membership to Global Mobile Network is available in three options:

  • Affiliate – $39 annually (retail commissions only)
  • Master – $39 annually + $600 (three business centers (binary positions), no access to Power Unit commissions)
  • Master Power – $39 annually + $1600 (three business centers and access to all commissions in the compensation plan)

As above, the more an affiliate spends on their membership the more they can earn via the Global Mobile Network compensation plan.

Conclusion

On the retail side of things, there doesn’t seem to be a problem with Global Mobile Network’s offerings. AdKash doesn’t appear to cost anything to install and the VOIP software is feasible, as is the tablet PC.

When it comes to the affiliate side of Global Mobile Network however, it’s hard not to look at the opportunity as a recruitment-driven pyramid scheme. And retail possibilities within the business fail to negate concerns surrounding this.

The recruitment commissions offered are straight up pyramid scheme territory. I sign up and the more I pay for membership dictates how much of a commission I can make off recruiting others, with the more they spend on affiliate membership resulting in a larger commission payout for myself.

This is true both of the upfront recruitment commissions and those paid out through the binary.

The AdKash commissions would appear to advertising supported, but how the company can guarantee a $1 commission per month per install, is a bit of a mystery. Advertising is not static so guaranteeing commissions on the mere installation of the app raises a red flag.

Given that how much of a commission is paid out is tied to how much an affiliate pays in upfront membership, there’s a question of whether or not these commissions come out of membership fees paid, as opposed to solely being paid out of AdKash advertising.

If this is the case (and I strongly suspect it is), this would add weight to the pyramid scheme nature of Global Mobile Network’s business model.

The Power Unit’s are suspicious, in that they are only available to the Master and Master Power affiliates and have no retail component.

Revenue wise affiliates pay Global Mobile Network $240 USD or so a year to “hire” our a panel, which the company then pays out a commission on. Firstly upfront on each sum paid and then residually via the binary.

This is quite obviously new affiliate money being shuffled around to affiliates who recruited them, and residually to affiliates who have already purchased panels.

Remove the whole solar panel hiring schtick and quite simply affiliates are purchasing positions that generate commissions for their uplines, qualify them to recruit new affiliates who can purchase the same and pay out a monthly residual commission per position purchased.

This appears to be a money game within the general recruitment-driven hierarchy of the Global Mobile Network compensation plan and business model.

Retail could make a dent of legitimacy to the model but it appears highly unlikely to exist given the way the compensation plan is structured.

With everything except retail commissions available to those who put in $600 and $1600, and Power Unit commissions only available to those who put in $1600, clearly the idea here is to focus on recruiting Master Power affiliates ($1600 + $39).

Once this recruitment slows down and affiliates stop pumping money into the scheme, those at the bottom of the recruitment pool will find themselves unable to earn commissions. As memberships are annual the effect of them not recruiting will be delayed, however binary commissions will slow down as a result.

This eventually trickles up the recruitment chain until it starts having a noticeable effect on those at the top of the chain, at which point the pyramid implodes.

Apart from the $20 “active” requirement, Global Mobile Network is big money upfront, meaning once the system implodes due to a lack of recruitment, pretty much anyone who bought in and didn’t mass recruit will lose out.
