Victims of Zeek Rewards looking for some final closure are entitled to be heard at Paul Burks’ sentencing. Burks, mastermind of the $850 million dollar Zeek Rewards Ponzi scheme, is scheduled to be sentenced on February 13th.

Following the expiry of a December 31st deadline for Zeek Rewards claimants to file OFAC certification, the Receiver has announced a third distribution payment. Funds had been reserved for OFAC deficient claims, but with the deadline now passed those funds will be distributed to Zeek victims with valid claims.

Following Final Judgement granted against three of Zeek Rewards’ top thieves, the same has now been granted against all named net-winners in the Receiver’s clawback lawsuit.

Of the named net-winner defendants being pursued by the Zeek Rewards Receiver, default judgement has been granted against Michael Van Leeuwen ($1.6 million), Darryle Douglas ($2.2 million), Todd Disner ($2 million), David Sorrells ($1.19 million) and Trudy Gilmond ($2.1 million). The conviction of Paul Burks appears to have left Zeek Rewards’ top scammers without a legal leg to stand on. Back in mid 2015 the Zeek Rewards Receiver sued Gary Bessoni and his companies Peak USA and Peak Impact. Through Peak USA and Peak Impact, Bessoni flooded Zeek Rewards affiliates with bogus email leads. With Paul Burks is going to jail and the SEC’s case against Zeek Rewards resuming shortly, the Receivership is all but winding down. Pretty much all that’s left is getting $13.1 million dollars back from Roman Balanko and seeing through net-winner litigation.

It is increasingly looking like Roman Balanko has made off with $13.1 million dollars of stolen Zeek Rewards Ponzi funds.
