Juan Arellano has pled guilty to iComTech fraud charges on the eve of his criminal trial.

Following a superseding information filing on February 29th, Arellano pled guilty later the same day.

The superseding filing against Arellano details:

  • one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud
  • one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering and
  • forfeiture allegations

Arellano pled guilty to both charges. Sentencing has been scheduled for September 17th, 2024.

Following guilty pleas by Marco Ruiz-Ochoa and David Carmona, the trial of remaining iComTech defendants David Brend and Gustavo Rodriguez kicked off on March 5th.

As of March 7th, the outcome of the trial was still pending.

 

Update 17th March 2024 – David Brend and Gustavo Rodriguez have been found guilty.

 

Update 6th October 2024 – Juan Arellano’s current status is unclear. Scheduled sentencing on September 17th doesn’t appear to have taken place.

There have been four sealed filings on Arellano’s personal case docket since April 30th, details of which remain unknown.
