Generation Zoe’s Rosa González Rincón arrested in Venezuela
Rosa González Rincón, aka Rosa Buñuelos, has been arrested in Venezuela.
The Viceministerio del Sistema Integrado de Investigación Penal (VISIIP), confirmed Rincón’s arrest on January 26th, 2026.

VISIIP’s press-release states;
Officials attached to the General Directorate of International Police managed to identify and capture in the city of San Cristóbal, the citizen Rosa María González Rincón.
Generation Zoe was an MLM crypto Ponzi launched by Argentinian national Leonardo Cositorto in early 2021.
Rincón, who is also wanted by Argentinian authorities, was part of Generation Zoe’s marketing team. Rincón was credited as coming up with “an algorithm (that) predicted the cryptocurrency market”.
There of course was no algorithm because Generation Zoe’s underlying “trading” ruse was baloney.
Prior to getting involved in Generation Zoe, Rincón earned a living “selling fried cakes and fritters”. Generation Zoe went on to collapse in December 2021.
Citing Cositorto and accomplices as a “criminal group”, VISIIP pegs Generation Zoe losses at “between $100 and $300 million”.
The fraud affected more than 15,000 people in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Spain, and Mexico, with an estimated total of between $100 and $300 million.
The victims suffered irreparable losses: life savings, pensions, property, and severe psychological damage, after being manipulated with a cult-like discourse of “financial faith.”
Following his arrest in April 2022, Cositorto was handed down a guilty verdict by an Argentinian court in February 2025. That same month Cositorto was sentenced to twelve years in prison.

La Nacion reports Argentinian authorities (PFA) played a key role in Rincón’s arrest;
The location and subsequent arrest were made possible through joint cooperation and information sharing between Venezuelan authorities and PFA detectives.
The fugitive’s capture was achieved after analysis, intelligence gathering, surveillance, and cyber-patrolling, which identified relevant digital activity whose IP address impacted the geographic area where she was ultimately located.
Additionally, field operations in the area revealed the presence and collaboration of…”immediate family members, who allegedly provided her with logistical support to remain hidden and evade capture.
La Nacion has confirmed Rincón will be extradited to Argentina where she will face trial.
