Forcount’s Antonia Hernandez pleads guilty to wire fraud
Forcount promoter Antonia Perez Hernandez has pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
The charge was part of a superseding indictment, filed against Hernandez on December 6th, 2022.
Forcount was a crypto mining ruse MLM Ponzi scheme launched in late 2017. It was part of a larger $800 million Ponzi empire, run by Francis Da Silva.
As part of her July 25th guilty plea, Hernandez (right) consented to a preliminary order of forfeiture.
The July 28th order will see Hernandez forfeit $231,709.
Beyond that, Hernandez’s sentencing has been scheduled for November 18th.
Hernandez’s guilty plea follows Juan Tacuri and Boris CEO Nestor Nunez pleading guilty earlier this year.
Tacuri and Nunez are scheduled for sentencing on September 24th and November 18th respectively.
Update 20th November 2024 –Â Following a joint request from the DOJ and Antonia Hernandez on November 5th, the court adjourned Hernandez’s sentencing to January 27th, 2025.
The stated reason for the requested adjournment was sentencing of Nestor Nunez on the same day.
In order to ensure that Ms. Hernandez is sentenced based exclusively on her individual circumstances, the parties agree that an adjournment of her sentencing, so that it does not coincide with her co-defendant’s sentencing, is appropriate.
Nestor Nunez was sentenced to 4 years in prison on November 18th.
Article updated to note delay in Hernandez’s sentencing.
