Polaris Global & Scientology at cause. Are you?

KRC is an acronym used in Scientology that stands for Knowledge, Responsibility and Control.

To the degree that a person has all three of these things present with regard to a given area, endeavor, situation or subject, that person will have an increased ability to remain at cause over the situation

When one or more of these elements is missing or deficient, a person will have a decreased ability to remain at cause and will tend instead to find him or herself in the position of being the adverse effect of the situation.

This concept of being ‘at cause’ vs being ‘at effect’ is a core principle within Scientology.

-Scientology Wiki

At its most basic, to be ‘at cause or effect’ in life is not a new idea. In essence, we’re all either in control (the cause of), or a result of (effect) of our environment, economic, social and all the other components that make up our lives.

The terminology ‘at cause or effect’ and rather the heightened importance of the concept however, originated in Scientology. Make no mistake, when someone talks about being at cause or effect, they are referencing one of the ‘core principles‘ of Scientology.

Nowhere else but in Scientology doctrine does the terminology to be ‘at cause’ or ‘at effect’ present itself.

Considering the lengths then that Polaris Global’s members and the company itself has gone through to distance itself from Scientology, despite Polaris Global CEO Shane Krider being a self-admitted Scientologist himself, is it any wonder then that this terminology pops up frequently in relation to Polaris Global? Guardian International Travel CEO charged on fraud

When considering the legality of MLM scams and pyramid schemes, even when it’s blatantly obvious by the business model itself that something dodgy is going on, people are often quick to cite the apparent lack of interest shown by the relevant authorities.

Often this lack of action is seen as proof that the particular MLM in question is legal. I mean if it wasn’t, then why haven’t the authorities busted down the doors right?

Wrong.

A recent case in Louisville, Kentucky in the US illustrates how, even after six years have passed since the company opened its doors, and despite just under three years of operation, it is possible that the law can and will eventually catch up to those running blatant money games. The MPB Today Review: Direct sales without sales

mpb-today-logoFounded by Gary Calhoun, My Premiere Business (MPB) Today is, to use the company’s official description from their website, a ‘direct sales’ company ‘affiliated with online grocery delivery company SouthEastern Delivery.

Pairing groceries with a MLM business model seems to be a no brainer. You’ve got plenty of repeat consumables products and a product line that everybody, and I do mean everybody is already purchasing.

Whether it be a daily, weekly or even monthly purchase, everybody on the planet has to purchase groceries one way or another.

Unfortunately when it comes to the MPB Today business opportunity however, there is less focus on this natural product based retail relationship and instead emphasis on recruiting others to join MPB and encouraging them to do the same.

Well, that’s actually understating it a bit – if you look closely at the MPB Today business opportunity, it’s blatantly apparent that it has nothing at all to do with retail product sales. [Continue reading…]

LiveSmart 360 in crisis? CEO begs members to stay

mark-mccool

This is not a get rich quick scheme…this is not a hype company. This is a two to five year plan.

I know one thing for sure and that is that there’s nothing more important when your building a business than commitment to yourself, commitment to the future and commitment to what you’re building.

If I can encourage you all tonight, be committed to what you’re doing. If you decide to join our business and if you go out and start representing yourself as a 360 member, stick to your commitment guys.

Mark McCool – CEO of LiveSmart 360

Thus the tone was set for what can only be described as a company in crisis call hastily put together by LiveSmart 360 corporate late last week.

As if mirroring the despair in Mark McCool’s voice, the call was littered with technical problems and people not being around when called upon to speak.

All in all, the entire call felt like a half hearted inspirational pick-me-up aimed at a shrinking distributor base.

Following the departure of President of Business Development, Mike Potillo for MLM company ‘ItWorks!’, LiveSmart 360 is in no uncertain terms looking for, as Mark McCool puts it, a new generation of ‘diamonds in the rough’ to step up and take his place. [Continue reading…]

Does low MLM startup cost = low risk opportunity?

hourglassOne of the biggest turnoffs of a MLM business opportunity can be an extraordinarily high initial investment cost to new prospects.

Despite still being lower than the initial investment cost of a traditional ‘brick and mortar’ business, due to the nature of MLM many potential leads still find it hard to get around.

Realising this, one of the key marketing factors of a lot of recent MLM companies has been an advertised low entry point for new members. In doing this, one of the key marketing factors in turn becomes the fact that, because the MLM opportunity initial investment is so low, that this equates to little or no risk on behalf of the lead.

Today I’m going to tell you why this is not so. [Continue reading…]

AutoXTen Review: Legally turn $10 into $199,240?

autoxten-logoMake no mistake, the premise of a one time investment of ten dollars potentially turning into nearly two hundred thousand is an attractive proposition.

Legalities and scams aside, the claim itself is definitely more than enough to warrant a closer look by someone and that’s exactly what AutoXTen are counting on to spread the word.

Turn $10 into $199,240… sounds simple enough, but what exactly do you have to do to earn it? And more importantly, is the AutoXTen MLM business opportunity legit?

Let’s find out. [Continue reading…]

The Secret’s James Arthur Ray guilty of manslaughter

the-secret-logoOne of the biggest criticisms I have of the MLM personal development niche is that it seems to be populated with self taught ‘feel good’ gurus.

Whereas in the real world people look at credentials and education, in MLM all of this seems to go out the window in favour of liking what you hear.

No matter how simple the message or how much you might agree with it, there’s a lot to be said for people making a living simply telling others what they want to hear.

That life is easy and they have all the shortcut answers.

Say it enough times and you might even convince people to hand over money just to hear your wisdom. Thus is the foundation for the personal development niche in MLM.

For the most part you’ve got a bunch of people running around claiming abundance in life and the methodology of teaching you to exactly how to achieve it yourself.

Because y’know, the diversity of life is so easily addressed with cookie cutter textbook systems.

A few years ago ‘The Secret’ was all the rage in such personal development circles. Despite being authored by Rhonda Byrne, James Arthur Ray’s name became heavily attached to the book as a result of his feature in the film by the same name.

Marketed heavily by distributors of numerous MLM companies, the idea was that whilst The Secret and people like James Arthur Ray (photo right) shared with you a secret so powerful that it had the ability to completely change your life, readers were still left wondering how to apply it.

Well, that’s where MLM and the personal development industry came in. All of a sudden you had every Tom, Dick and Harry offering you lifestyle enrichment and promising to show you how to apply the principles of The Secret into your very own life.

All for a hefty sum of money of course.

These people, who had done nothing more than read the book themselves had all of a sudden transcended the wisdom barrier and taken it upon themselves to make a living attempting to convince other people to change their lives by handing over large sums of money.

On the weaker side of the scale this brought with it mass financial ruin and many years of repair to truly get over the damage caused, but on the much more sinister side of things… you had outright negligence.

Turns out if you’re just kinda making things up as you go along and don’t really know what you’re doing – lives can be lost.

Javanomics reduces Javita to a numbers game

javita-javanomics-logoJavanomics is the official training division of the recently launched MLM coffee company, Javita.

I’m still not entirely sure when Javanomics plan to launch, but the launch date must be getting nearer as we’re starting to see more and more promotional and training material being released.

Last week I covered what Javanomics are calling the ‘sampling system‘. In essence Javita distributors are encouraged to rely on handing out samples to their prospects in order to convince them to join the company.

These samples are a hidden cost to distributors over time but from Javita’s perspective bolster their product sales so are encouraged.

Today I’m going to look at some more training material released by Javanomics, namely related to their vision on where they see Javita in 2012.

As it stands, Javita’s 2012 vision sees them hoping to create 100,000 debt free members, 10,000 home free members (uh home free, as in without homes?), 1,000 sig figure earners and 10 millionaires.

Whether or not Javita will reach this goal is of course debatable but I suppose in the interim you need to create some motivation for your members to get out there and market the company and its coffee.

What is interesting however is the possible methodology being touted by Javanomics in order to help Javita’s sales field reach the company’s projected goals.

Unfortunately when you boil down the hype and look at how exactly Javanomics are marketing Javita and encouraging Javita members to market the company, all we’re really looking at here is a numbers game.

Recruit enough people and encourage them to do the same and watch the dollars and success start rolling in. [Continue reading…]

Javita marketing emphasises top member drawback

javita-coffee-company-logoBack when I first looked at the Javita business opportunity, I identified one of major drawbacks potential distributors were going to face was in the amount of product required to be given out as samples.

When we decide if a coffee is good or not, do we necessarily care where or how it’s made? No.

What do we rely on? Taste.

Trying to sell someone coffee without them actually having tasted the product is a truly futile exercise. As a coffee drinker just ask yourself, ‘would I commit to buying coffee without actually having tried it first?’

Sure, you might take a gamble at the supermarket – but we all know that unless the coffee company is having a promotion, the supermarket itself isn’t going to let you taste test anything.

Meanwhile as an independent member of Javita trying to convince someone Javita coffee is the best tasting in the world, what’s the easiest way to go about this?

Offer them a taste test sample.

Naturally Javita themselves aren’t going to compensate you for this and due to the samples counting as product being sold from a company standpoint, they might even actively encourage it.

Now that we’re in the post launch stages of Javita and official marketing material is starting to trickle out, unfortunately this seems to be the case. [Continue reading…]
