Poland has stepped up its criminal investigation into DasCoin, following the seizure of 44 million PLN ($11.6 million USD) in stolen Ponzi funds.

The recent seizure was confirmed by Ewa Bialik, a spokesperson of the national Public Prosecutor’s Office.

DasCoin is a cryptocurrency launched to facilitate Ponzi fraud through the MLM company Net Leaders.

Polish regulators first sounded the alarm over Net Leaders and DasCoin in December 2017.

Earlier this month a criminal investigation was confirmed.

The Polish investigation into Net Leader sand DasCoin is being conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation of the National Police.

The investigation is ongoing. The Bureau are looking into violations of Poland’s Criminal Code and are working towards filing charges.

What immediate effect the seizure of $11.6 million in invested funds will have on Net Leaders and DasCoin is unclear.
