Xcelerate International fails to provide company ownership or executive information on its website.

I’m aware of Xcelerate International operating from two domains, “xcelfuel.com” and “xceleratefueltabs.com”.

“Xcelfuel.com” appears to be mostly broken so we’ll assume “xceleratefueltabs.com” is the primary domain.

Said domain was privately registered on May 7th, 2022.

The only corporate information we get on Xcelerate International’s website is

Xcelfuel is a registered trademark of Triformx LLC DBA Xcel Fuel.

Triformx appears to be the original abandoned name of the company:

Further research reveals Xcelerate International marketing citing Dan Maltais as owner of the company.

Maltais states he created Xcelerate International because

We were involved in another company that had a fuel additive product.

And I simply couldn’t get the answers that made me feel comfortable in introducing that product to someone else.

It doesn’t matter what other people are saying, I need that documentation and comfort level for myself.

Even though I felt comfortable with the company we were with, the technology that they were talking about, the results, the manufacturing process … when they kept giving me the runaround with these questions that I have.

“Does it have this ingredient? How is this processed? What’s the EPA registration number? Where’s the safety data sheets?” Those types of things, I just couldn’t get any straight answers.

Until finally I spoke with the engineer from the company that supposedly manufactured the products. And the engineer said, “I didn’t even know we had a fuel tab.”

And at that point, that was it.

So we did some research and I never ended up sponsoring a single person in that company.

We did some research and in that research I found these patents. And in the patents I found contact information.

And I reached out to several people. And maybe an hour and a half after reaching out to one company, the owner of the company actually called back.

We had a great conversation. I told him what my concerns were, what company, manufacturing etcetera. And he just basically shook his head, and he told me the whole story.

Long story short, this company has the patent since 2011, been manufacturing the product, initiated the patent application in 2006.

And this patent is something that they’ve defended … since 2006. Other products have to circumvent the patent.

And you’ll see, the one company for example that we were looking at, they had products starting to stick together in the packaging.

They had different tones when you open the packaging. They had different colors of the different tabs in there. Different thicknesses.

I can’t 100% confirm which company Maltais is talking about but the only other fuel tab companies I’m aware of that launched recently are Dan Putnam’s B-Eco earlier this year, and Lawrence Conrad’s Govvi spinoff.

In any event, Maltais wasn’t happy with the fuel tabs of whatever company he’d just joined and went on to launch Xcelerate International with a different tab supplier.

Maltais claims to have been involved in MLM for “thirty something years”.

I was able to backdate Maltais’ career to the launch of Synaura in the 2000s. In 2010 Maltais tried to get Elur off the ground but, after announcing prelaunch, the company was abandoned.

Synaura collapsed in late 2010, purportedly due to financial difficulties.

I get the sense Maltais has deleted most of his publicly available MLM related activity post 2010.

Between 2010 and now Maltais might have been promoting Infinii (DS Domination’s securities fraud followup), an unspecified MLM travel opp and NewULife.

Maltais has definitely promoted NuYuGen (circa 2018) and Arego Life (also 2018).

Maltais is based out of Florida, meaning Xcelerate International is also operated from Florida.

Read on for a full review of Xcelerate International’s MLM opportunity.

Xcelerate International’s Products

Xcelerate International markets Xcelerate fuel tabs:

The tabs are manufactured by Ferox, a US company owned by Renssli Corp.

Xcelerate International pitches their fuel tabs with marketing information provided by Renssli Corp:

Xcelerate International retails Xcelerate fuel tabs at $24 for a 1 pack of 6 tabs.

Multipacks are available but are only sold to affiliates:

  • $60 for a 3 packs of 6 tabs (18 tabs)
  • $160 for 10 packs of 6 tabs (60 tabs)

Xcelerate International’s Compensation Plan

Xcelerate’s compensation plan pays retail and recruitment commissions on fuel tabs sales.

Note that affiliates must generate 60 PV a month to qualify for MLM commissions.

60 PV presumably equates to a three-pack Xcelerate fuel tabs purchase.

Retail Commissions

Xcelerate International pays affiliates earn a 35% commission on retail sales volume.

Residual Retail Commissions

Xcelerate International pays residual commissions on retail sales volume  down two levels of recruitment:

  • level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) – 10%
  • level 2 – 5%

Recruitment Commissions

Xcelerate International affiliates earn recruitment commissions on first order volume down three levels of recruitment (unilevel):

  • level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) – 35%
  • level 2 – 10%
  • level 3 – 5%

Residual Commissions

Xcelerate International pays residual commissions via a 3×8 matrix.

A 3×8 matrix places an affiliate at the top of a matrix with three positions under them:

These three positions form the first level of the matrix. The second level of the matrix is generated by splitting these positions into another three positions each (9 positions).

Levels three to nine of the matrix are generated in the same manner, with each new level housing three times as many positions as the previous level.

Xcelerate International pays 5% on sales volume generated by affiliate purchases across the matrix, excluding first orders (see “recruitment commissions” above).

Note that how many matrix levels an Xcelerate International affiliate earns on is determined by recruitment:

  • no recruitment = levels 1 to 3 of the matrix
  • recruit two affiliates = levels 1 to 6 of the matrix
  • recruit recruit four affiliates = levels 1 to 7 of the matrix
  • recruit six affiliates = levels 1 to 8 of the matrix

Recruited affiliates must also be generating 60 PV or more a month to counts towards residual commission qualification.

Matching Bonus

Xcelerate International pays a 50% match on residual commissions earned by personally recruited affiliates.

Joining Xcelerate International

Xcelerate International joining costs are not disclosed on the company’s website.

Based on Xcelerate International’s Policies and Procedures, affiliate membership appears to be free.

Xcelerate International Conclusion

I’m not sure what’s up with Xcelerate International going by three names; Xcelerate International, XcelFuel and TriformX.

Xcelerate International appears to be more dominant but there’s still plenty of “xcelfuel” references on its website.

I’m also unclear on Dan Maltais’ claims of Ferox fuel tab exclusivity;

Our particular product is exclusive to us. No one else has this formulation that we have.

It is basically the “2.0” version of where this product is going.

There’s no mention of an updated fuel tab formulation on Ferox’s website. Furthermore anyone can sign up as a Ferox distributor.

I’m aware of at least one other MLM company marketing Ferox’s fuel tabs; Cforth.

Whether Maltais is mistaken in claiming exclusivity or whether Ferox and Rennsli Corp are cheating their other distributors is unclear.

While Rennsli does provide boatloads of documentation to back up their marketing claims, my take on fuel tabs is:

If they were the miracles they’re marketed as, everyone would already be using them.

And while Rennsli might stand by their product, in the event a customer isn’t happy, Xcelerate International will only step in as a last resort;

The primary relationship in these transactions is between the Marketing Partner and their customer. Xcelfuel fulfills a third-party merchant and fulfillment service role only.

In the event of a Retail Customer dispute, resolution is the responsibility of the selling Marketing Partner. The Company may step in as a third-party intermediary in the case of non- resolution.

That’s hardly confidence inspiring.

Moving on to Xcelerate International’s compensation plan; while retail sales are possible, everything else is geared towards affiliate recruitment and a three-pack or higher autoship (60 PV).

The good news as a prospective affiliate is due-diligence is easy.

All you need to ask your potential upline is how many packs they’ve sold retail over the past few months, versus recruited affiliates they have on autoship.

Make sure to ask for evidence of retail sales. If none is provided, assume no retail sales are taking place.

Also pay attention to how you were approached. Did the affiliate lead with the product or was it a business opportunity pitch.

If it was the latter, recall specifically what it was represented to you you’d be doing to earn income.

Company-wide I’m confident Xcelerate International is operating as an autoship recruitment scheme – but there might be a few retail-centric affiliates building properly.

In general we’ve seen a number of fuel tab MLM companies pop up this year. This coincides with rising fuel prices which, at least for now, raises the long-term business viability.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. And none of the MLM companies that sprung up the last time are around today (2013-2014; Zazzed, Future Global Vision etc.).

Approach with caution.

Update 19th October 2023 – Xcelerate has been rebranded as a generic supplement company.

The company is now marketing Bio3X.

Our ultimate gut health product contains no living bacteria.

Introducing Xcelerate’s first to market Prebiotic, Postbiotic and Paraprobiotic microflora support formula.

A magnesium supplement and mushroom coffee are also part of the offering.

Xcelerate’s website still has the fuel tabs, but Thomas Parish of Rennsli Corp has emailed to advise;

Rennsli Corp has officially terminated its relationship with Xcelerate, Triformx and Dan Maltais. This is due to a material breach of contract and failure to operate in an honest manner in the market place.

Buyers should beware of a counterfeit product being offered into the marketplace.

Whether Xcelerate is selling existing stock or counterfeit tabs is unclear.
