Swych launched in 2019 and operates in the nutritional supplement MLM niche.

Swych operates from two website domains:

  • swych.com – first registered in 2008, private registration last updated on April 29th, 2024
  • swychlife.com – privately registered on July 2nd, 2020

Heading up Swych we have co-founders Mark and Jeanine McCool (right).

BehindMLM first came across Mark McCool in 2010, as founder of LiveSmart 360.

After a brief crisis period in 2011, LiveSmart 360 continued on till it collapsed in November 2015. What was left of LiveSmart 360 is believed to have been sold off to Shaklee.

Prior to LiveSmart 360 McCool was behind Cyberwize. Cyberwize’s decline from 2008 to 2010 effectively led to LiveSmart 360’s launch later that same year.

Swych represents it has “global operations” across Florida, Kansas, Utah, Italy, San Marino, Spain, the Philippines and Uganda.

With the McCools based out of Florida, this would appear to be where Swych primarily operates from.

I couldn’t tell you exactly why but Swych’s product marketing on its website gave me strong LaCore Enterprises vibes.

This prompted me to run a quick check to determine any links. Turns out LaCore Enterprises filed two lawsuits against McCool, Swych and Duke Wellington LLC, the Florida shell company McCool runs Swych through (Swych itself is a Florida LLC).

Both lawsuits relate to “consumer/commercial/debt” and were filed in Collin County, Texas. Unfortunately this jurisdiction doesn’t provide publica access to filings.

What I can tell you from the case dockets though is LaCore Enterprises’ second lawsuit, filed in June 13th, 2022, didn’t go anywhere.

The first lawsuit, filed on April 18th, 2022, led to default judgment awarded on May 31st, 2022. Final judgment was awarded to LaCore Enterprises on February 23rd, 2024.

I can’t say for sure without seeing case filings but I believe LaCore Enterprises might have had a hand in help McCool set up Swych.

In any event, whatever the legal dispute it’s now long settled. I’m only referencing it for the sake of completeness.

PV stands for “Personal Volume”. Swych calculates PV as:

  • 100% of recruited Swych affiliate pack volume
  • 100% of recruited affiliate orders and
  • 50% of retail order volume

GV stands for “Group Volume”. GV is calculates as PV generated by a Swych affiliate and their downline.

Note that no more than 50% of required GV can come from any one recruitment leg.

Also note that in order to count towards customer requirements, referred retail customers must have placed at least one order in the previous 31 days.

Retail Commissions

Swych pays retail commissions of 20% to 30% on product sales to retail customers.

Specific retail commission rates are determined by how much a Swych affiliate spends when they sign up:

  • sign up with an Essential or Basic Pack and receive a 20% retail commission rate
  • sign up with a Builder Pack and receive a 25% retail commission rate
  • sign up with a Leader Pack and receive a 30% retail commission rate

Another 10% is paid on thirty-pack retail customer orders of Swych Stryps.

Customer Orbit Team Bonus

The Customer Orbit Bonus pays on retail customer sales through unilevel team generations, as well as generated C1 downline volume.

A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.

A generation in each unilevel team leg is defined when a C2 or higher ranked Swych affiliate exists deeper in the leg.

This C2 or higher ranked affiliate caps off the first generation of that leg, with the second beginning immediately after.

If a third C2 or higher ranked affiliate exists deeper in the leg, they capp of the second generation and the third begins under them.

If no such ranked affiliate exists, the second generation of that leg extends the full depth of the leg.

Using this generational structure, The Customer Orbit Team Bonus pays out 5% on up to XX generations per unilevel team leg:

  • C2 ranked affiliates earn 5% on one generation per leg and 2% on any C1 volume across their unilevel team
  • C3 ranked affiliates earn 5% on up to two generations per leg and 3% on any C1 volume across their unilevel team
  • C4 ranked affiliates earn 5% on the first two generations per leg and 3% on a third and 4% on any C1 volume across their unilevel team
  • C5 ranked affiliates earn 5% on the first two generations, 3% on a third and 2% on a fourth and 5% on any C1 volume across their unilevel team

Note that C* ranks are unique to the Customer Orbit Bonus and Swych does not provide qualification criteria.

Swych Conclusion

While it’s not a 1:1 clone, Swych is essentially a reboot of LiveSmart 360.

Unfortunately back in 2010 I was still figuring out BehindMLM’s review templates, so I can’t point to a direct comparison.

Here’s an article on the “LiveSmart 360 Million Dollar Match” though. In Swych it’s the “Million Dollar Matching Bonus”.

LiveSmart 360’s “Smartline” is gone but the two compensation plans are otherwise pretty similar.

Then there’s the whole “Zorbmax” delivery system. Again, the product names have changed and it’s not a 1:1 replicated offering, but there’s significant overlap between Swych’s products and what LiveSmart 360 offered.

Why is Swych being a reboot of LiveSmart 360 a potential problem?

In BehindMLM’s 2017 Zilis review I addressed LiveSmart 360’s early failures;

After launching with Zorbmax, LiveSmart 360 had to “relaunch” with a new product a year and a half later. The interest in Zorbmax as a flagship product simply wasn’t there to sustain the company.

As of January 2024, SimilarWeb was tracking ~1600 monthly visits to “swych.com” and no traffic to “swychlife.com”.

Swych’s 2024 compensation marketing videos are hosted by Platinum 2 Star Roberto Grandis.

By the end of 2024 Grandis had left Swych to launch Colony Global, his own oral strip MLM company.

Specific to Swych I found that, while there is an effort to encourage retail sales, it’s hard to ignore the recruitment commissions and bonuses (e.g. the Leader Bonus).

Retail customer requirements don’t kick in until a Swych affiliate hits Bronze 1, at which point they’re required to be generating 5000 GV over a rolling 31-day period.

In other words, the majority of affiliates are going to be able to run their Swych MLM business as a pyramid scheme (recruitment with little to no retail).

The good news is sussing this out is easy. As a prospective Swych affiliate you want to ask your potential upline how much of their monthly 100 PV requirement is retail sales.

If it’s not at least 50 PV out of the required 100 PV, there’s a good chance that affiliate is running a pyramid scheme. You can further confirm this by asking how many affiliates they’ve recruited and comparing that to their active retail customers.

Pay-to-play, another hallmark of an MLM pyramid scheme, is also an issue.

Two of Swych’s bonuses are paywalled behind its Leader Pack, which just happens to be its most expensive affiliate membership option.

In one of Swych’s compensation marketing videos, Roberto Grandis literally spells it out;

It only gets better with the Leader Pack. This is for the people that are really looking to earn the most money possible and want the quickest results.

Tying how much a recruited affiliate spends on membership to earning potential is not something you want to see in an MLM company.

The irony here is while Swych provides an “FTC disclosure” statement on their website…

…it doesn’t address potential violations of the FTC Act (lack of retail sales, compensation disclosures etc.).

Swych could clean up their compensation plan by requiring SP ranked affiliates to meet the minimum 3 retail customer requirement, but since launching in 2019 have chosen not too.

As an MLM company owner veteran, Mark McCool definitely knows better. Approach with caution.
