Sanderley Rodrigues visa fraud case “likely” to be resolved via plea
Last we checked in the DOJ was negotiating with Sanderley Rodrigues in an attempt to resolve Rodrigues’ visa fraud case without a trial.
As per a Status Report filed yesterday;
discussions are ongoing, but at this point the parties do not know if the case will be resolved short of trial.
A Status Conference was also held yesterday, with an order issued after it revealing ‘counsel state that the case will likely be resolved by way of plea‘.
This suggests Rodrigues will at some point enter a guilty plea in the case but isn’t a certainty.
In the meantime, Rodrigues’ case has been transferred to a district court from whence it shall proceed.
