David Carmona, founder of the iComTech Ponzi scheme, has pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. After initially pleading not guilty following his arrest in late 2022, Carmona changed his plea at a December 22nd hearing.
iComTech promoter Marco Ruiz Ochoa has pled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit wire fraud. Ruiz-Ochoa and several iComTech scammers were indicted in October 2022. Ruiz-Ochoa was arrested in November 2022.
On September 7th the DOJ moved to stay proceedings in the CFTC’s civil iComTech case. The request was granted on September 8th.
The CFTC has secured an Entry of Default against four iComTech Ponzi scammers. Following their failure to respond to the CFTC’s lawsuit, Entry of Default was entered against David Brend, Moses Valdez, Marco Ruiz Ochoa and Juan Arellano Parra on July 20th.
The CFTC has sued iComTech Ponzi scammers for commodities fraud. Name defendants in the CFTC’s May 24th filed Complaint are:
iComTech founder David Carmona has been arrested in the US. Carmona’s arrest follows indictment by a Grand Jury in the Southern District of New York.
iComTech provides no information on their website about who owns or runs the business. The iComTech website domain (“icomtech.io”) was privately registered on July 19th, 2018.
