Jason Syn sentenced to probation for I2G Ponzi fraud
Infinity2Global defendant Jason Syn has escaped prison time.
Following a December 19th guilty plea entered on one count each of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and securities fraud, Syn was sentenced to three years probation.
Syn was also ordered jointly liable for $3.9 million in restitution.
The reason for Syn escaping a prison sentence is believed to be in a sealed Statement of Reason, filed on December 19th.
All of Syn’s Infinity2Global co-defendants have received prison sentences:
- Richard Maike was sentenced to 10 years in December 2022
- Doyce Barnes was sentenced to 4 years in December 2022
- Faraday Hosseinipour was sentenced to 2.5 years in January 2023
- Dennis Dvorin was sentenced to 12 months in November 2023
Richard Maike launched Infinity2Global back in 2013. The Ponzi scheme would go on to defraud consumers out of $30 million plus.
