Dennis Dvorin sentenced to 12 months for I2G Ponzi fraud
Infinity2Global Ponzi promoter Dennis Dvorin has been sentenced to 12 months in prison.
Dvorin’s sentence was handed down on November 22nd, following a November 17th guilty plea to one count of securities fraud.
On the money side of things Dvorin (right) was sentenced to $3.9 million in restitution, which he is jointly liable for with his promoter co-defendants.
Dvorin’s Infinity2Global co-defendants have been convicted and sentenced to 2.5 to 10 years.
- Faraday Hosseinipour was sentenced to 2.5 years in January 2023
- Doyce Barnes was sentenced to 4 years in December 2022
- Richard Maike was sentenced to 10 years in December 2022
Barnes and Hosseinipour have an appeal against their conviction pending.
The remaining co-defendant, Jason Syn, has a Change of Plea hearing scheduled for December 19th.
Maike launched Infinity2Global back in 2013. The Ponzi scheme would go on to defraud consumers out of $30 million plus.
Update 14th December 2023 – Dennis Dvorin has filed an appeal against his November 22nd judgment.
Not really sure how that works given he signed a plea agreement but I’ll publish any updates below.
Update 12th June 2024 – Dennis Dvorin has voluntarily dismissed his Infinity2Global judgment appeal.
The Sixth Circuit granted Dvorin’s dismissal motion on June 11th. No reason for the dismissal is provided.
I just realized at some point I’ve read “Jason L. Syn” as “Jason Lyn”. Went back and corrected a bunch of unintentional “Jason Lyn” misspellings in our I2G coverage.
This case started in 2013 and still ongoing 10 yrs later?
No, the Ponzi scheme started in 2013.
That said, the I2G case did have a lot of delays over the years for various reasons. Sending old farts with their health problems to prison can be complicated.
Hope all of their assets was taken away. Tough lessons should be an example to others. (can’t wait to hear the same for other ponzi scammers).
What’s the plan for the monies held in sealed escrow since February 2023?
I’d assume victim redress once the appeals are dealt with and Syn is sentenced. That’s on the DOJ though.
I thought you said Barnes appeal was denied?
Barnes’ request he be released pending the outcome of his appeal was denied. Not the appeal itself.
Yeah that’s right, forgot.

Bit strange considering he signed a plea deal. Maybe Dvorin thought he was going to escape prison time?
They always give 12 months 1 day regardless to give a felony record so it’s hard for them to get banking / jobs when back on the street… Which ironically leads to a life of continuing crime.
That’s my observation anyway.
