OneCoin confirm UniverTeam buyout, victims lament losses
Earlier today OneCoin confirmed their acquisition of the UniverTeam pyramid scheme.
BehindMLM first broke news of the acquisition back on the 5th of March.
As per a OneCoin press-release issued a few hours ago;
The OneCoin Network, a global leader in cryptocurrency mining and trading, announced the acquisition of Brazilian company Univerteam on Friday.
The deal will allow more than 120 000 people from Latin America, and particularly Brazil, to gain access to the unique products OneCoin has to offer. They will join the 1,4 Million Members worldwide, who are already part of the OneCoin Family.
As a global company, operating mainly in Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa, OneCoin is now aiming to expand into the strategic South American market, with this deal being а major strategic step in that direction.
Owing to OneCoin’s Ponzi business model, it seems the hope is South America will be the next market to inject funds into the scheme.
“Latin America is a very important market for us, and our partnership with UniverTeam will allow thousands of people there to take advantage of the unique opportunities we offer”, said OneCoin CEO and Founder Dr. Ruja Ignatova.
To what extent the acquisition of UniverTeam will have on Ignatova’s stated goals is uncertain.
Perusal of UniverTeam’s official Facebook page reveals investors en masse lamenting losses sustained in the collapsed scheme.
February 19th, 2016 – I’m with 2000 euros held up and I can’t get anything because of a system error and nobody solves anything.
February 23rd, 2016 – (UniverTeam) is a fiasco… I still can’t get my money back and nobody gives me (any) answers… another business that takes a dump on people.
February 26th, 2016 – I have asked for my money and so far nothing. It’s been 25 days and you never showed any money in my wallet.
February 26th, 2016 – Well what happened to the depositing of money from Colombia?
I invested in November with several partners for a total investment of 30 million pesos. Until today I haven’t seen any of my money. Are you going to steal that money?
February 26th, 2016 – Company has already (collapsed), no one can receive anything more. The “pyramid” tricked us straight.
February 26th, 2016 – This is for people to learn that there is no easy money.
February 26th, 2016 – Alexandre Arenales is the greatest demon disguised as a believer.
He already screwed a lot of people in another network marketing company, then he opened UniverTeam.
Since September I have received nothing because they messed up with the wallet system. Instead of showing up my card number, letters appear in the place that’s why I can’t withdraw.
That’s the way they don’t pay.
Poor Arenales and Daiane Barros, they’ve deceived many people and their bodies will burn in hellfire along with the devil.
February 27th, 2016 – I’ve made already more than three withdrawals, none are in my account.
February 27th, 2016 – A Risk? Yes!!! But the invested money is going to UniverTeam.
What’s going on is that he (Arenales) is not coming back. Just go!!
February 27th, 2016 – Another pyramid scheme giving us a blow!!! Everyone knew it would happen!!!!
February 27th, 2016 – I have 6 accounts and until today I couldn’t get any money. I’ve been with the company already for eight months.
March 1st, 2016 – I can only tell you that even here in Italy we are in the same situation. The only thing we know is that UniverTeam no longer exists and that it will be absorbed by a new company…. I think we’ve lost our money.
March 1st, 2016 – I’m going to denounce the company and Mr Arenales because I invested 30 million pesos and I haven’t received anything.
March 7th, 2016 – Guys, does anyone have a copy of the (affiliate) contract? For the love of God, who has the answer?
Let us join together to do something. Let’s go in the police, they have already been under investigation for a long time. Let’s go get those bandits.
January 30th, 2016 – Who wants to join a company that hasn’t paid for more than 7 months?
March 8th, 2016 – I’m very concerned about this situation. What’s wrong with our money?
Where is the person who gives us the reason? We heard a story about a new platform but it’s been 4 months already.
March 10th, 2016 – The (UniverTeam) guys tell a lie one, two, ten, two hundred… a thousand times and people still fall for it.
UniverTeam was headed up by Alexandre Arenales, who launched it following the collapse of the Brazilian MultiClick Ponzi scheme.
The UniverTeam business model saw affiliates pay €150 to €1500 EUR, with commissions paid when they recruited others who did the same.
Despite the obvious pyramid scheme nature of the business, OneCoin describe UniverTeam as
a direct selling multinational company formed by a team with extensive experience in the technology sector and entrepreneurial leaders, which represents a multiplatform of digital products and advanced technology.
How much OneCoin paid Alexandre Arenales for his email list of UniverTeam victims is not disclosed.
And speaking of victims, while you might think investors who eagerly followed Arenales from MultiClick to UniverTeam might be all too eager to invest anew in yet another Ponzi scheme, at least some appear to have realized the pattern they’ve been sucked into.
March 8th, 2016 – I know that I’m going to get blocked…. and that UniverTeam are going to eliminate this message..
But all those who want to sue (UniverTeam), you can create groups in your cities and remain in contact through WhatsApp.
One coin is not safe. Don’t be fooled by the leaders who have already received their payments, while the we and the others have to wait.
Their exit is soon. Let us not allow them to continue with this charade which their leaders now promote to give us hope… while only they receive their payments.
Univerteam began to have problems since (last) November and still allowed more people to join the company. They lied irresponsibly and Mr Alexandre Arenales presented launches and was misleading in the way he promised the soundness of this bankrupt company.
There is no need to thank him for this way out. He tried to show strength but instead lied to us when he ensured us that there was no problems.
Investors of UniverTeam, don’t be fooled – OneCoin is not a safe way out. OneCoin has no value at all. Mr Alexandre Arenales must be sued.
Earlier this week both the Norwegian Direct Selling Association and Latvian Financial and Capital Market Commission warned that OneCoin was a pyramid scheme.
Stay tuned…
the end is near. the end is near.
did i tell you the end is near?
Like Phil Ming Xu (WCM777) and Steve Chen (USFIA), Ignatova is apparently using family members to launder OneCoin Ponzi funds.
Vankoynov appears to be a shell company that doesn’t do anything (other than make up a value for OneCoins).

Any chance we can we get a cliffnotes translation?
Here’s the Yle’s report as text. You can try to have google translate it though it sucks translating Finnish:
yle.fi/uutiset/haluatko_tehda_miljoonan_kuukaudessa__uusi_virtuaalivaluutta_muistuttaa_pyramidihuijausta/8736938
Here’s a more accurate translation from a Russian version of YLE article:
More than 10000 Finnish people invested their funds in OneCoin project, “a cryptocurrency” as stated by its owners.
Funds invested in OneCoin reappear on bank accounts of a Bulgarian company, owned by a close relative of Ruja Ignatova, founder of the project.
However, Petteri Jarvonen, IT expert, calls OneCoin “a fake currency”, not even a virtual one. He thinks that it’s a financial pyramid. He reminds that financial operations with OneCoin are not possible, thus the value of OneCoin cannot be estimated.
Tommi Vuorinen, OneCoin Finland director, has denied all the criticism, stating that the company gives no guarantee that investment in cryptocurrencies can give big profit.
Police did not see the crime in OneCoin’s actions, investigation continues.
So this is going to be “we never promised any value so nobody had lost anything yet (by the time you realized it’ll be too late)” kinda of deal…
Same as any other ponzi scheme.
Thanks for that Fir. Bit of a shame the Finnish media are having to do the job of their regulators.
Regardless, OneCoin are using newly invested funds to pay off existing investors – making it a Ponzi scheme.
Paul Burks tried the “we never promised anyone anything” line, he’ll still be going to jail for a long time when the time comes…
Tommi Vuorinen himself just recently stated while promoting Onecoin:
He clearly does not practice what he preaches.

OneCoin: The Future of (Play) Money!
Interesting paragraph from the article:
I wonder how the main pumpers of OneCoin will explain this to their Investors?
QUOTE OF THE DAY, “SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO FORCE YOU TO BE HONEST.”
The Onecoin fundamentalists seem to have an explanation for everything. It doesn’t even matter if the explanation is pure nonsense.
Petteri Järvinen is like an archenemy for Finnish onecoiners. They hate his guts and believe that he is an evil bitcoiner on his personal crusade against them being millionaires.
The old cult standby: “They just don’t understand. They don’t have our vision. They are just… them. It’s us vs. them.”
