Konstantin Ignatov released, Mark Scott returns to prison
Over the weekend OneCoin’s Konstantin Ignatov was released from prison. Conversely but for an unrelated reason, Mark Scott returned to prison.
I was hoping we’d get a case docket update today but doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
According to the Federal Burea of Prisons inmate search, Konstantin Ignatov was released on March 13th.
It’s important to note that this doesn’t mean US authorities have released Ignatov out into the wild.
Ignatov is facing ninety years in prison and has reached a plea deal with the DOJ.
He’s going into witness protection at some point but it’s unclear whether his recent release is a precursor to that, or whether Ignatov is being moved somewhere else.
Mark Scott has landed himself back in prison following bail conditions violations.
Inner City Press report Scott dined out and was spending money stashed in Cayman Islands accounts.
As of yet there’s no entries on Scott’s OneCoin case docket regarding his reincarceration.
Inner City Press have also surmised that Ignatov was released following a non-public sentencing hearing. I can’t verify that at this time.
Pending any further docket updates throughout the week, stay tuned…
Update July 18th 2020 – As per a July 8th hearing, Konstantin Ignatov’s sentencing hearing has been delayed until November 11th, 2020.
If there were any OC/OL Facebooks groups still alive, they would surely say: “OUR CAPTAIN IS FREE!”
Oh, Niente, they are. Sickening
This points to one of the reasons why I think it would be strange if Konstantin was really freed — namely that the “economic danger” argument the prosecutors raised against his bail release last summer still holds:
On March 23, 2020, the US Government filed a document with the New York Southern District Court, detailing why Scott’s motion has to be denied.
Some assertive recount and overview detailed here:
financefeeds.com/us-govt-argues-onecoin-co-conspirator-not-acquitted/
Thanks Tim, if it’s on Pacer I’ll get stuck into it tomorrow.
courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287.244.0.pdf
With quick look there doesn’t seem to be anything really new, but the document contains excellent summaries of the incriminating stuff that was brought up in the trial process against OneCoin and Scott.
Thanks for that Semjon. And I agree, it’s a well put together summary.
I’ll be skipping it for news but it’s worth a read for anyone looking for a complete timeline of Scott’s fraud.
New filing from Mark S Scott’s defense, a motion to reconsider the remand order:
courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287.245.0.pdf
It seems that Scott is alleged to have continued his deceitful behaviour, including defrauding a person who provided funds for his original bail bond and selling assets that are under restraining order. The Government apparently feared flight risk too. (There is probably more to the story, as the Government’s full position can’t be derived from Scott’s filing.)
In addition, Scott uses the coronavirus situation as one of the arguments to reconsider his imprisonment.
DOJ has to file a response by the end of Friday. Going to hold off until I see what they have to say.
Hearing on the matter is scheduled for Monday 30th.
I’m assuming the blacked out bit probably refers to specific conditions inside the facility (maybe specific prisoners)?
edit: read a littler further down, the blackouts appear to pertain to Scott’s medical condition(s).
It is bazar how Mark s Scott is still able to spend onecoin money.
Back in December 2019 his credit card bill on Amex was over $120,000 with shipping at Cartier for several $$$$ of dollar. A Purchase at Hermes for a crocodile Hermes bag and other things for over $90,000.
Dinner for his wife Lidia kolesnikova at steakhouse for serval thousand if dollars.
How was he still able to use stolen onecoin money.
Even the letter from a contractor looks like Mark s Scott wrote it. Nobody would do work without getting paid. There is something very fishy about it.
I am sure he made some kind of deal with the contractor in order to have him signed the letter.
Ms Halle was a previews client and sure enough he offered her something for the bond.
He is a smart lawyer so for him not knowing not the sell seized assisted is bullshit.
From information I got he was still paying alimony to his ex wife until nov 2015. He bought his apt 1.580,000 $ in coral gables Fl 2015 a year later that apt is mortgages free.
I am sure he still has money outside if the country under his mothers name in Germany or under his wife’s name kolesnikova in Russia or some where else.
How is paying for his legal team which charges an hour $750 an hour or even more.
Some details are apparently already revealed in the court transcript (courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287.209.0.pdf) of the last trial day.
Important context for Scott’s deceitful behaviour is that the Feds have been able trace only about half of Scott’s ill-gotten $50 million OneCoin wealth, so Scott still has tens of millions of criminal loot hidden somewhere:
Scott used James Nobles, a (now former) lawyer of his defense team, to launder some more OneCoin criminal proceeds while on bail, because he thought that the Government was not up to his game:
So perhaps the transactions regarding the Dale Avenue property renovation are same kind of money laundering scheme?
Some light is also shed on the story of Scott’s Porsche sale that the recent court filings are talking about.
The Government learned about it only at the last moments of the trial, because a Suspicious Activity Report was filed:
Scott knew that the Government was looking for the third Porsche in order to seize it, but he sold it nevertheless, and bought a new one for himself:
These OneCoin “moneymen” are truly incredible breed of people.
@Karma
This is from the DOJ’s response:
Unless I’m missing something Scott conveniently left this out of his motion.
Hearing is scheduled for 10am Monday, waiting for that decision before I publish anything.
It’s pretty incredible, because the 31 Dale Avenue purchase was brought up in the trial too:
So Scott arranged a mortage for this property after the trial, in December 2019, according to the Exhibit D of his motion (courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287.245.4.pdf).
There can be no excuses that he didn’t know — other than perhaps he was asleep during his own trial.
Interestingly, the exhibit document cites an opinion from the very O’Neill Real Estate Company Scott paid to facilitate the purchase in late 2017, saying the property is now worth $5.8 million — up from $3.8 million from when Scott bought it.
Conflict of interest? And could it really be true — has the Florida real estate market really boomed so much, especially if the property is also in bad need of renovation?
Now that Ms Halle has withdrawn from Scott’s bail bond arrangements, Scott is offering his 600 Coral Way property (courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287/gov.uscourts.nysd.482287.245.8.pdf) as the new bail bond security. What’s interesting is that the mortage of this property was paid with OneCoin criminal proceeds, according to court transcripts:
So he is pretty much offering OneCoin criminal proceeds.
Mark s Scott is going to be released from prison. FDC Miami due to coronavirus infection law360.
I also think due to his fake medical condition!
From the article:

Konstantin Ignatov may not be in the MCC jail anymore, but he is certainly not free either.
Today the US Attourney office says Konstantin’s co-operation is “not yet complete”. The Government requests his sentencing date be adjourned for approximately 3 months.
courtlistener.com/docket/15688339/260/united-states-v-scott/
Inmates in the witness protection program (WITSEC) are kept in special prisons, which exist as physically separate facilities alongside 7 federal prisons. They are also removed from the publicly accessible locator system, if they were listed there before, which means they will appear marked as “released”.
The most likely location for Konstantin is still the same building. The WITSEC facility in New York, the first one that was created, is one floor in the MCC building (the other ones are separate buildings within the grounds of a larger prison).
If it wasn’t for OneCoin, I would never have learned about such things. Who says their claims about spreading education were bogus?
@PassingBy, Semjon, WhistleBlowerFin, and so so many other contributors whom I can’t possibly all name over the past 5 years (in addition to Oz, of course), I’v never said it before, but I just want to acknowledge now that you are all so freaking AWESOME and bring incredible value to these articles and discussions.
Thank you all for keeping it real and keeping it fascinating and intriguing, while we collectively work to eradicate, or at least bring these scammers and scams to justice! Kudos to you all!
Damn, another three months.
That change of plea transcript might be worth going over. I just checked and there’s no order yet.
Will check back at the end of the week to see if it’s been ordered unsealed and pull it up.
Still have the rest of the other filings to get through too.
US Government finally preparing to the Sebastian Greenwood trial.
Greenwood’s Indictment has been made public, and they are planning a pretrial conference.
The Pretrial conference was already scheduled for April 3th, but the Government requested adjournment due to the Government providing additional material to the defendant for review.

Finally. Will get into it first thing tomorrow morning!
Sebastian Greenwood’s pretrial is adjourned to June 3, 2020, at 10:00 AM, by Judge Ramos.

WOW, thanks for this great news! Five Counts, good for life in prison, LOL
And it looks like the Order reveals hard proof that Greenwood is in custody indeed.
This is probably the correct InnerCityPress link:

Doesn’t it sound like Sebastian Greenwood — following the footsteps of Gelbert Armenta — blew his co-operation deal with the Feds? Perhaps that’s why he or Armenta never testified in Mark Scott’s trial?
But it’s great news. Sebastian’s trial could provide an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look in the world of MLM criminals…
Hope the like of Wahrloos, Alberts, Calina , Zafir ,deppish and all the European scum start to feel uneasy.
Wahrloos is now a Void 19 medical expert this scum need taking down.
More info!
Sebastian Greenwood has been apparently sitting all the time in New York MCC, but registered to Bureau of Prisons with his first name “Karl”, which now appeared in the unsealed indictment!

There’s so much blocked out on the unseal request from the DOJ!
WE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT IT SEZ!
November 18th of Mark Scott trial transcript was mistakenly restricted on PACER until now. Our friend Lynn called to the clerk, and it’s now available on PACER and mirrored on CourtListener!

Mark is not that stupid with a law degree that he didn’t put money some where else like in Switzerland or Russia under his wife’s maiden name.
If the DOJ only find half of the 50 million he made where is the other half of the money.
Or he has it under his mother’s name some where in Europe. So some where 25 million is still missing and not seized by the DOJ.
How does Mark s Scott pay his expensive defense team?
Konstantin’s sentencing seems to have been delayed once again. It’s not in the court schedule for Wednesday.
twitter.com/innercitypress/status/1280592125986512901
At least 4 months delay asked by the Gov.
courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.516497/gov.uscourts.nysd.516497.300.0.pdf
Hopefully at least we will see Konstantin now in Greenwood trial.
Four months, damn. Love to know what’s going on behind closed doors.
Konstantin Ignatov’s new sentencing control date is now November 11, 3:30pm.
courtlistener.com/docket/15688339/301/united-states-v-scott/
Four sealed documents filed on September 25th. Whee!
We are almost there no? 11th of November we should know more if again they don’t postpone or delay.
There’s a control hearing, Konstantin’s actual sentencing date is TBA.
