Guernsey seizes £8.5 million from OneCoin’s Ruja Ignatova
A Guernsey Royal Court has ordered the seizure of £8.5 million tied to Ruja Ignatova.
As reported by ITV on January 16th;
Guernsey’s Royal Court has seized more than £8.5 million from a shell company bank account associated with the infamous missing ‘Cryptoqueen’ Dr Ruja Ignatova.
The full amount, £8,590,200.92 plus interest, will be released by the Royal Bank of Scotland and held in the Seized Asset Fund.
Ignatova had used two Guernsey shell companies to purchase two properties in London. Ignatova’s lawyers claimed the properties in 2023.
German authorities are expected to claim the seized funds, as part of ongoing OneCoin victim recovery efforts.
OneCoin was a $4 billion MLM crypto Ponzi that collapsed in 2017. Ignatova disappeared in October that same year and hasn’t been seen in public since.

Ignatova was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitive List following her New York indictment in 2019. The current unclaimed reward for information leading to Ignatova’s capture is $5 million.

Finally, glad some of the monies seized from The Crypto Ponzi Queen Ruja is going back to victims but where is all the money really gone. Is it in Bulgaria?
I know authorities say $4Billion was stolen but people like Kari and Igor said it is close to $15Billion. So where is it? Is some of it still hidden in shell corporation accounts. Duncan Arthur what does the paperwork you have say? Oz what do you think too?
If Ruja alive, money probably stashed in shady UAE and/or Russia bank accounts.
If Ruja dead, who knows.
Frank Schneider probably knows where the money is. Beyond the above I have no idea.
Goes to strictly Germany investors . Right?
Between the cooperation of whistleblowers, survival of bank records, investigations and testimonies of those arrested, it’s known where a lot of the funds are. The authorities have the complete picture. However:
– Some governments have made it quite clear that what they seized is not going back to victims. China, India and Tanzania included;
– Some governments appear only interested in looking after their own citizens (Germany, etc);
– One government (the UK) is apparently happy to allow a German claim made on assets in the UK to flow to Germany after an action brought in a British dependency; and,
– Others haven’t said what they are going to do (the US, UAE, etc).
What is known about the flows, people, banks, insurance companies, destinations, etc, was offered to the Legal Standing Committee (which is a strange name because none of them have any legal background) instructing Mishcon in the UK group action. The offer of free help was refused
Hi Oz, thanks for replying. Yes if Ruja is dead I think the vultures who know where the money is from OneCoin have already gotten their thieving hands on it including Frank which could be what is financing his life on the run from the FBI now.
Gilbert I think knows where all the money is or was as he was her lover and money launderer.
If Ruja is alive I think all the money is in Russia where she is hiding as Konstantin said she met a very wealthy and powerful man from Russia who could protect her and Igor Albert’s said she took $7-8Billion to Russia and has a Russian and Ukrainian passport.
I would love to know who is stupid to protect a woman on FBI’s top 10 most wanted list as they too will be arrested and prosecuted for assisting her and harbouring her from prosecution and arrest.
There is a lot of heat to find Ruja and people are looking for her, is it worth it, even for a criminal network?
Hi Duncan, how bizarre that the UK Group taking action against OneCoin didn’t want factual legal information to recoup some of the money they all lost, taking into consideration these people didn’t realise OneCoin was a scam till the very end even when others warned them, some even greedily helped scam their own family members and friends to get commission on worthless educational packages they were selling for non-existant tokens.
The whole saga is a sad train wreck. I think Governments around the world just want this to go away unless Ruja has been found and she snitches on herself and says where all the money is.
German journalist Martin Himmelheber has already addressed these issues in a detailed article published on December 7, 2025.

I’m just listening to the CryptoQueen new 4 part podcast added on to the original. @Duncan Arthur, Jamie and his team should have spoken to you as they are talking alot about the South Africa lead.
I wish you had talked more to Jamie about everything you know, where the money went, which accounts in which country, and why you think Ruja didn’t fly or where you think records show where she really went. More about Konstantin and your relationship with him, why you had to get bodyguards. Your role in helping bring OneCoin down and assisting U.S police since documentary revealed that.
I think your side on the OneCoin story would have been more interesting as we haven’t really heard it and especially since you have the records on this scam still in your hands, you are a valuable insider.
Ruja is alive, I believe it, it’s just a matter of when will she be caught or will she get away with it??? The German and The American law enforcement officers are adamant they will find her.
I’m in shock, just finished the podcast. The Islam brothers alone wiped the floor with the UK OneCoin Victims Action Group by successfully defending themselves from being sued. Some claimants clearly made up loses of £2-5Million to the court and lied how much the promoters of the fake cryptocoin made even though they took money too from their down lines in the MLM.
The big law firm has walked away that helped start the compensation request and the Action Group had to pay those they lost to in court, the 2 brothers but they didn’t have to pay to the Englishman accused of laundering for OneCoin Mr Hamilton as they don’t have the money to pay him as he won against them too.
I believe the Action Group had to pay for the lawyer fees as the litigation funders paying for the class action lawsuit have walked away so they dropped the lawsuit altogether and now there is no more financial freezes on anyone connected to OneCoin. What a mess!!
Why didn’t the English Action Group only go after monies associated with OneCoin in bank accounts and properties they could sell instead of suing MLM promoters and Ruja who is in the wind like The German Action Group. Jen McAdams should have listened to Duncan Arthur who has the documents. Wow!!
It’s crazy the money is really gone, Offshore bank accounts and Bitcoin really has helped obscure the money trail of OneCoin’s ill-gotten gains even though Ruja said she wanted to kill that coin LoL.
Yes Mischon De Reya Came off Record at our Lawsuit a month after the Funder Terminated our contract.
Also Mischon De Reya refused to help us look for another law firm to represent us after dumping us at London High Court.
Yes they didn’t find another funder to fund out lawsuit either.
We were left stranded and stuck at high court. With a lawsuit we have no funds nor lawyers to defend it.
What happened was horrible. Galactic and Mischon De Reya became a night mare to us the onecoin claimants.
It’s unbelievable but true.
@ Goldinah Star – second comment
The English action was a train wreck.
Previous OneCoin promoters (and the leader is no stranger to previous collapsed MLMs) sued other OneCoin promoters for being better OneCoin promoters and on the basis that they are somehow morally better than them. How did they think this was going to end?
The group was lucky Kari died when he did. He was going to answer with actual figures about who earned what and what they actually put in. That didn’t stop one of the group from questioning if he faked his death. Sick.
Ruja was surprisingly insured. Why didn’t they go after the English giant-insurer? Because the group refused any help and finding a copy of the policy document and copy letter would be near impossible.
This wasn’t about “victims”, all four hundred odd of them out of a few million, this was an exercise in self promoting that was doomed. They refused help because they were high on hubris, incompetence and promoting themselves.
The lawyers and funder are of course upset. How can they be criticised for walking away?
I won’t agree with Duncan Arthur on this.
You were a Dealshaker founder and so close to Ruja. U were on her salary maybe if not at a % benefits from Dealshaker operations.
Years later when your boss vanishes then you come in to help victims really??
Somethings are based on Trust .
How would victims of the same scam trust the same person who helped the scam look worth it accept help from you Duncan.
This wasn’t a self promotional thing as you say. It’s not right at all.
Actually we had our own strong law firm . One of the most prominent and famous in the UK Mischon De Reya and we trusted it could do everything. From verifications to estimations etc.
We trusted they had potential to bring this to book
You cant term this as self promotional lawsuit.
The 400+ victims wasn’t it only. We were going to hit thousands of them if funder didn’t back off.
Duncan Arthur most if not all onecoin victims still believe UpTo now that you are a onecoin beneficiary and it can’t easily go away. You were damn close to Ruja Ignatova.
@ Goldinah Star
The BBC is best avoided. Their podcast is a tabloid.
Yes, the latest four episodes drew a lot of attention to what the German team discovered in South Africa. At least the BBC acknowledged the source. They don’t always do that, even if they lift a direct quote. South Africa is still by far the best lead. Bartlett didn’t bother talking about the pics of Konstantin in Cape Town taken over multiple non-OC related trips, speak to the investigator they mentioned whom the Germans used to place Ruja in CT or actually visit any of the prominent Bulgarian community in SA.
The next person to try and earn some currency claiming they live in fear, move continuously, etc, needs to shut it. That’s over. If Konstantin, the guy who spilled more than everyone else put together and had to change lawyers because his US attorney doesn’t represent snitches, can walk down Vitosha Boulevard most days at regular times and advertise when he is going to be at an event in Sofia (where daylight assassination is a real thing), nobody else is in any danger
@ Daniel
Yes, I was “damn close” to Ruja. I am responsible for DealShaker.
Mea culpa. I own it. What’s more is I lived it. And, like the vast majority of people involved in Onecoin, I can’t see a difference between a former OneCoin promoter who thrives on attention and another former promoter who thrives on attention and who now claims to represent “victims”.
In terms of your agreement with your law firm and Galactic (the funder), you can’t just take the people who registered before and set-up with another firm. Those relationships and data belong to Galactic. You’re going to have to start again.
The offer of the data still stands
@Daniel I think it is wrong for you to not trust Duncan, he is trying to make things right and help you but if you don’t want it then fine but don’t keep throwing in his face he worked for Ruja and Sebastian as Jen sold worthless tokens as education packages to her friends and family, making them all lose £250,000, but you trust her?
You also was distrusting I felt to another lawyer trying to help you, Jonathan Levy which I thought was unfair. I think maybe it’s time to move on, and accept you won’t get your money back. I know that’s difficult but what else can you do?
@Duncan you done your best, stop letting people disrespect you, the UK Action Group don’t want your help, let them figure it out and help themselves.
I agree the podcast fell short for me too, BBC didn’t even go to South Africa with boots on the ground questioning people, talk about the murders in China or Mexico connected to OneCoin, or again follow the money to where it really went even though Frank the Luxembourg spy gave them documents.
10+ years can the money still be found? No. I think the majority of the money is gone. This story is so sad and crazy it’s devastating really for all involved.
Was the claim available to the Chinese?
Pretty pointless if it was not. That’s most people who got suckered.
These membership statistics were published on onelife.eu in November 2019. According to these figures, more than 1.2 million Chinese were members of OneCoin/OneLife.
