Several The Traders Domain scammers have consented to preliminary injunctions.

Between October 22nd and 25th, the CFTC filed preliminary injunction consent orders pertaining to:

  1. Traders Domain FX LTD, dba The Traders Domain;
  2. Ares Global LTD, dba Trublue FX, Algo Capital LLC, Algo FX Capital Advisor LLC (nka Quant5 Advisor LLC);
  3. Centurion Capital Group Inc.;
  4. Alejandro Santiesteban, aka Alex Santi;
  5. Archie Rice;
  6. Gabriel Beltran;
  7. Michael Shannon Sims, aka Mike Sims; and
  8. John Fortini

As of October 28th, the court has issued preliminary injunction consent orders for Traders Domain FX LTD, Ares Global LTD, Centurion Capital Group, Alejandro Santiesteban, Archie Rice and Gabriel Beltran.

The injunctions were granted based on:

  • the CFTC making a prima facie showing that the consenting defendants violated the Commodities Act;
  • the CFTC being likely to succeed on the merits of its enforcement action; and
  • “reasonable likelihood” that the The Traders Domain defendants “will transfer of dissipate assets or destroy records”

The granted preliminary injunctions freeze the defendants’ assets, allowing the court appointed Receiver to conduct “expedited discovery” and inspect frozen assets.

A show cause hearing, pertaining to preliminary injunctions against the remaining The Traders Domain defendants, has been pushed back to November 12th, 2024.

Update 6th November 2024 – On October 31st the CFTC filed an injunction consent motion pertaining to Steven Likos.

Update 13th November 2024 – The show cause and preliminary injunction hearing has been continued to December 12th.
