JetCoin’s Dwayne Golden sentenced to 8 years in prison

JetCoin Ponzi admin Dwayne Golden has been sentenced to eight years in prison. Eight years was the maximum range the DOJ sought in pre-sentencing filings.
As per a judgment filed on June 27th, Golden was also ordered to pay $2.46 million in forfeiture.
Golden (right) was charged in early 2022, as part of a group of indictments targeting EmpowerCoin, ECoinPlus and JetCoin scammers. The CFTC filed paralell civil fraud charges that same year.
Golden’s co-defendants have also pled guilty with sentencing pending;
- Marquis Demarking Egerton, aka Mardy Eger, pled guilty on July 13th, 2023
- Greg Aggesen pled guilty on November 15th, 2023
- William White pled guilty on April 16th, 2024
Presently the CFTC’s JetCoin fraud case is stayed pending the outcome of the above criminal cases.
Guilty pleas are expected to hasten resolution of the CFTC’s civil fraud charges once the case is reopened.
Not sure how the last guy to plead guilty gets sentenced first but I’ll keep monitoring the case docket.
It’s about time that they do something about this serial-scamming piece of gutter trash! He’s been scamming people for a very, very long time.
