Former Investview CEO Joseph Cammarata has been found guilty on all five counts of tax fraud.

Following a trial held in early November, a jury returned a guilty verdict against Cammarata on November  15th.

In the wake of the verdict, Cammarata (right) moved for a 60 day extension to file a Rule 29 Motion.

Rule 29 pertains to a “judgment of acquittal”, meaning Cammarata will try to overturn the verdict.

Cammarata previously tried to overturn a guilty verdict in his recovery scam trial but was denied.

Cammarata was indicted for tax fraud back in September 2022. The charges relate to Alpha Plus Recovery, the entity Cammarata and his accomplices engaged in recovery scamming through.

Cammarata’s recovery scamming guilty verdict saw him sentenced to ten years in prison in June 2023.

The court granted Cammarata’s request for an extension, giving him until January 29th, 2024 to file his Rule 29 Motion.

Pending a decision on that motion, Cammarata’s tax fraud conviction will either be overturned or a sentencing date will be scheduled.

Update 15th May 2024 – Cammarata was sentenced to six years in prison on May 14th.
