Forcount’s Nestor Nunez has pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

The charge was part of a superseding indictment, filed against Nunez on December 6th, 2022.

Forcount was a crypto mining ruse MLM Ponzi scheme launched in late 2017. It was part of a larger $800 million Ponzi empire, run by Francis Da Silva.

Nunez is a Spanish national who played Forcount’s Boris CEO, Salvador Molina.

Following Forcount’s collapse Nunez, appearing as himself, released a mea culpa video that was circulated on social media.

To the best of my knowledge Nunez is the first Boris CEO to be criminally charged by US authorities.

As part of his guilty plea, Nunez has consented to a preliminary order of forfeiture.

The July 23rd order will see Nunez forfeit $70,000. Beyond that, Nunez’s sentencing has been scheduled for November 18th.

Nunez’s is the third Forcount suspect to plead guilty. Co-conspirators Juan Tacuri and Antonia Hernandez have also pled guilty.

Tacuri and Hernandez are scheduled for sentencing on September 24th and November 18th respectively.

Update 20th November 2024 – Nestor Nunez was sentenced to 4 years in prison on November 18th.
