BLQ Football securities fraud warning issued in Uganda
Uganda’s Lotteries and Gaming Board has issued a BLQ Football fraud warning.
As per the Lotteries and Gaming Board’s October 11th public notice;
The attention of the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board has been drawn to a company trading as BLQ FOOTBALL Uganda on social media platforms such as Facebook.
BLQ has been conducting betting activities illegally without a licence from the National Lotteries and gaming Regulatory Board for the said activities.
This is the equivalent of a securities fraud warning in other jurisdictions.
The public is advised to refrain from dealing with unlicenced [sic] or illegal gaming operators who lure and defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
BehindMLM reviewed BLQ Football on September 11th, confirming it’s a “click a button” Ponzi scheme.
This type of app-based Ponzi scheme emerged in late 2021 out of south-east Asia. Third world countries, in which mobile usage typically dominates access to the internet, have been hit particularly hard.
I’m aware BLQ Football has initiated a “tax” exit-scam. I’ll be addressing that shortly.
Update 13th October 2022 – BLQ Football has pulled its websites offline.
Blq has been operating in Uganda for some good months now,,d question is where was Uganda gaming lottery board, to block them, where was ucc to block them,
now most peoples money has been taken by blq that’s when lottery board comes up, to me it shows the conavance between d two.
Ugandan authorities can’t block dumb fucks from downloading apps to lose money through.
By all means lampoon Ugandan authorities for being asleep at the wheel and not arresting local BLQ Football promoters. But they didn’t scam you, Chinese “click a button” Ponzi scammers did.
That is how systems in Uganda works, the scam group has been here for almost four months back luring people and spashing money without the community. and this so called lottery wasn’t aware of all these.
BLq had been operating for several months in Uganda where were you those months we have to suspect you The gaming boards, The UCC to be that move.
What is your responsibility to national?
I didn’t know what the UCC was so I had to look it up:
UCC has nothing to do with regulation of securities fraud or Ponzi schemes.
As for the Gaming Board, they’ve done their bit by issuing a securities fraud notice – albeit months late.
The Gaming Board can’t go after Chinese scammers abroad but they can round up local net-winner promoters. Uganda isn’t known for regulation of MLM Ponzi schemes though so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Kati mazima blq is closed yes,but how about Ugandans money they have spent.
At least you would have forced them to pay back pple’s money be4. Naye namwe aaaa a.
Who’s going to force Chinese scammers to pay people back?
You didn’t think before you invested. The least you can do now is think before you type.
The connection is that you were told:
1) They got hacked
2) They will return all pending withdrawals
3) The Tax man wants taxes
4) The Lottery and Gaming board say they are operating illegally
5) They are undergoing maintenance
The only true one is nr4, the rest are excuses to get you to stay and pay.
You are an adult, take responsibility for your choices. Do police and government prevent crimes before they happen?
Next time don’t be stupid and sign up for another scheme.
I already saw people pushing more scams in Facebook and Telegram groups.
For me l see it makes no sense, and most students have lost their money in it.so where are the gaming board if they knew it was operating illegal in Uganda and wait up to this time
Our gov’t is a failure failure body and the heartless people’s fear.
You joined an obvious scam, you don’t have sense.
But not everyone has the capacity to know the difference between the legit and a scam, but it’s at your capacity to protect the innocent and the poor Ugandans from such.
It’s in your capacity the UCC and all other big organs in the country to protect the country. We are very innocent.
Many ugandans have been making money and now you want people to be jobless even with their money taken…
This blq had no problem… it’s not like any betting companies which are taking money from people indirectly…this blq was the best… you people you are really corrupt..am tired of this country… you want people just to remain poor.
@Asiki
Again, the UCC isn’t a securities regulator. The Gaming Board is.
Regulators regulate fraudulent investment schemes. They don’t regulate ignorant stupidity.
If you “don’t know the difference between the legit and a scam”, why did you hand money over?
@Vincent
And who do you think you were stealing from?
You were stealing from poor people. At least have some shame about it instead of pretending you were helping poor people by stealing from them.
Your people where so happy slaughtering each other with this scam. Read the comments please:
behindmlm.com/mlm-reviews/blq-football-review-football-themed-click-a-button-ponzi/
Your authoritys comming only into play when some victims going to police, but nothing happend over several month, because fake money on the screen suggested soon all will be millionars right?
And each time this goons come to Uganda they operate at their free will in the country, after meeting their targets.
Is the time the so called the ucc, the lottery board etc comes in. And the government is expecting this innocent Ugandans to meet all the requirements in the country.
Where are they going to get the money from when the little is stolen away from them. GOD BLESS UGANDA.
@OZ
Yes the UCC isn’t the security regulator. But perhaps who is to issue the certificate of operation in the country (online).
I show it coming let’s forget about it’s like paying full school fees and the country is locked down the next day but you as well would have invested what you are ready to loose.
@Asiki
There’s a reason I state shell company incorporation is utterly meaningless whenever it comes up.
BLQ Football had no physical presence in Uganda. Nobody running BLQ Football ever stepped foot in Uganda.
BLQ Football was run online through an app. Behind the app were Chinese scammers from whatever hidey-hole they’re in.
No, because I don’t invest in obvious scams where the only ones that profit steal it from others.
Mission done I knew this long time but it’s not fair they would have made them to continue coz people where making money.
Fixed that for you.
People Were Money And You Stopped Them From It You Want As To Remain Poor Even I Use Blq Money To Pay My School Then See Want You Have Caused Now, Why Dont You Block It From The It Start?
How fucking stupid are you?
The scammers stealing your money exit-scammed and ran off. Sorry for your loss.
You being poor has nothing to do with BLQ Football being a Ponzi scheme.
Why don’t you stop blaming others for your lack of sense?
It’s our country which is. Doing all this but Neva late we shall soon have changes beggining from up to the toe.
My friend has Sofar made 30m from this BLQ after putting 2m 4momth ago, he built a house in it as I talk now.
Because vampires want Ugandan blood they must have threaten BLQ Agents or even blocked the BLQ web.
“Every on else must be poor so that we manage & rule them “. shi
Publish your friend’s details so the victims here can come collect their money he stole 🙂
Now most of students invested in the company with there tuition fee now see their life’s.
now they should have forces them to pay back peoples money before sending them away.
Haaa!! In uganda everything is possible.Now why don’t you give Blq a linces and leave them opperating??
That is the way of solving Issue insteady of sending Blq company away.
BLQ Football was stopped because the Chinese scammers running it stopped it.
Some stupid shell company had nothing to do with it.
People don’t investigate before they jump in, they want to run before they can walk, they want to plant in the morning and harvest in the evening. Quick money easy money.
Before you start putting your blame on anyone or any government agencies, I want to bring to your attentions that these scamers also called ponzi schemers operate another site with domain website called blq.99 which was still active by the time I was writing this but the one closed was operating on domain blq.66.
I know more will appear later with a program which appears too good to be true. More folks will drawn in that investment wave.
Some of my friends listened to my advice and withdrew their money before the site was shut down.
The website was created as private and owner’s identity was hidden but localized to China. This was already a red flag to any investor.
It had 64% members from China but 36% from Uganda. It was created on 20th May 2022.
All those who lost their money should enroll in for a short course in financial literacy.
In football even if you have the best strikers but no good defense, its all meaningless.
You see, we need to learn defensive money management.
that’s why I withdrew my ka investment i knew this would happen.
But think of innocent people like students who were seduced by fellows and invested in fees and tuition thinking they will get profits atleast let the lottery
monitor blq’s information about people and the lines both Airtel and MTN can provide information of each individual who has been investing and give people back there money to prevent high crime rates coz some people now are stressed, jobless they might end up engaging in thiefty and other sort of crimes.
People shud stop dealing with people they don’t know there is another one called UG_FOOTBALL people shud be careful.
No one can accept to operate at a loose by giving u money free.
it has already happened . lets forget and think of other things, wayforward.
@Jojo
It’s a bit disturbing to see so many students fell for BLQ Football. These are supposed to be educated individuals, albeit young.
AirTel and MTN are carriers, they have nothing to do with BLQ Football and can’t do anything.
Chinese scammers ran BLQ Football and ran off with everyone’s money. They don’t care about who they stole from, much the less the crime rate in Uganda.
Stopping blq football was it saving Ugandans from loosing their monies or them gaining?
Is the system being maintained to refund Ugandans money or for your own benefits.
@Ruth
The scammers running BLQ Football “stopped BLQ Football”. They ran off with your money, obviously for their own benefit.
Welcome to the inevitable Ponzi end-game.
Uganda is very corrupt blq was here for some good years (Ozedit: snip, misinformation removed)
@Cray
BLQ Football launched a few months ago. Stop spreading misinformation.
Les Talk Sense, if the Problem wås a liense,why cant lottery allow is to contributed for and blq servers are opened.
secondally, if u request for license requirements, lottery declines. stop fooling ugandans,all we know is that u want to rule a poor society.
Talking sense? Sure.
“The problem” is BLQ Football is a Ponzi scheme. Anyone can register with financial regulators but a Ponzi scheme isn’t going to for obvious reasons.
You’re doing a good job of fooling yourself. Too bad stupidity can’t be regulated.
Because it’s not a licensing issue,you can’t license a scam business
The government should payback people’s money b’se people have been paying taxes on their mobile money while sending money to BLQ and later double deducts them while withdrawing.
because if you are transferring money from BLQ to mobile money they deduct much and from mobile money to liquid form they also deduct then which kind of tax do you really wants.
Paying taxes has nothing to do with being a dumbass and losing money to Chinese Ponzi scammers.
UCC is un fair why didn’t you publish the information before blocking blq now is UCC going to compasate people’s money.
Nobody blocked BLQ Football. The scammers running the Ponzi ran away with your money.
