Kindred IM Academy Review: Eight tier cash gifting
There is no information on the Kindred IM Academy website indicating who owns or runs the business.
The Kindred IM Academy website domain (“kindredimacademy.com”) was registered on the 12th of July 2015, however the domain registration is set to private.
A support Facebook group linked off the Kindred IM Academy website lists Yew Nieng Song, Mike Thibodeaux, Jean Tasler, Lisa Stalvey and Margaret Oddy as admins.
Presumably one or more of these individuals are running the company, however the specifics of who owns Kindred IM Academy remain unclear.
As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.
The Kindred IM Academy Product Line
Kindred IM Academy has no retailable products or services, with affiliates only able to market Kindred IM Academy affiliate membership itself.
Once signed up ($5o), Kindred IM academy must then pay $5 to the affiliate who recruited them. This payment qualifies them for commissions through participation in the Kindred IM Academy business opportunity.
Of note is the mention of “marketing courses” and “Electro Magnetic Radiation Protectors” in Kindred IM Academy’s Terms and Conditions:
Before you engage, please know that Kindred Enterprise LLC sells valuable and attractive products like our informative internet marketing courses (KindredIMAcademy aka KIMA Courses) to empower members and our branded health related product – the Electro Magnetic Radiation Protector (EMRP).
These products are not available at a retail level, nor do they have anything to do with payments through Kindred IM Academy’s compensation plan.
It is assumed that the radiation protector is included with $50 Kindred IM Academy affiliate membership fee payment.
The courses meanwhile appear to be accessed through participation in Kindred IM Academy’s compensation plan (see below).
The Kindred IM Academy Compensation Plan
The Kindred IM Academy sees affiliates gift funds to eachother, with payments tracked through a 2×8 matrix.
A 2×8 matrix places an affiliate at the top of a matrix, with two positions directly under them (level 1 ):
The second level of the matrix is generated by splitting the two first level positions into another two positions each.
Subsequent levels of the matrix are generated in the same manner, down a total of eight levels (510 positions in total).
Positions in the matrix are filled via direct and indirect recruitment, with each placed affiliate gifting the person at the top of the matrix they are placed into (assuming they are qualified at that matrix tier).
Each level of the matrix is its own cash gifting tier, with Kindred IM Academy affiliates required to buy into each level to qualify to receive gifting payments.
Payments range from $5 to $3000 as follows:
- Matrix level 1 – pay $5 to qualify to receive two $5 payments from subsequent participants ($10)
- Matrix level 2 – pay $10 to qualify to receive four $10 payments from subsequent participants ($40)
- Matrix level 3 – pay $20 to qualify to receive eight $20 payments from subsequent participants ($160)
- Matrix level 4 – pay $60 to qualify to receive sixteen $60 payments from subsequent participants ($960)
- Matrix level 5 – pay $460 to qualify to receive thirty-two $460 payments from subsequent participants ($14,720)
- Matrix level 6 – pay $1000 to qualify to receive sixty-four $1000 payments from subsequent participants ($64,000)
- Matrix level 7 – pay $2000 to qualify to receive one hundred and twenty eight payments from subsequent participants ($256,000)
- Matrix level 8 – pay $3000 to qualify to receive two hundred and fifty-six payments from subsequent participants ($768,000)
Once qualified at level 8, a Kindred IM Academy affiliate must pay a $200 a month fee to continue to participate in the scheme.
$100 of this monthly $200 fee is paid to Kindred IM Academy and the other $100 to the recruiting affiliate (direct upline).
Kindred IM Academy place 5% of every $50 signup fee and monthly $100 payment they receive, and place it into a “profit pool share”.
This profit pool share is then shared out each month to monthly fee paying affiliates.
Joining Kindred IM Academy
Affiliate membership with Kindred IM Academy is $50.
An additional $5 gifting payment is also required to participate in the MLM income opportunity.
Conclusion
Offering up an eight-tier gifting scheme, Kindred IM Academy sees affiliates pay eachother to the tune of $1.1 million dollars.
With $5 payments being pumped in through the bottom of the matrix (the other fees are intended to be paid out of subsequent gifting payments), each Kindred IM Academy affiliate is looking at 220,778 five dollar payments to fill up their matrix.
Paying out the five listed Kindred IM Academy support admins alone would require 1.1 million payments. And that’s assuming they each only preloaded one position each.
Needless to say the only people who might get remotely close to that is the Kindred IM Academy admin(s).
These positions are automatically qualified at each gifting level, with the bulk of gifting payments rolling up to the admin’s positions by design (they were placed first before members of the public could purchase positions).
Such is the reality of matrix-based gifting schemes, with the majority of participants losing out.
We welcome this unmitigated review and thank the MLM Reviews reviewer who has taken much time and efforts to do this and is in fact doing us a favor to see things from an independent and perceived point of view thus helping us be better. Thank you!
The below are some salient points from the MLM Review to refer, where there might be errors or need our perspective to the issue raised in the Review.
FYI, Quick Note: I am a pastor in Malaysia, and the team consists of a group of seasoned internet marketers from USA, Canada, Singapore, and India. Our hearts go out to the 95% who struggles to make any money online, and so we structured our comp plan with members’ best interest first in terms of affordability.
All our team members including myself have to sign up too and pay and do what everyone needs to do, step by step.
If I do not do my part, I won’t be qualified to be paid. The company has only one position for each person allowed. Here’s my non-exhaustive quick reply to points raised.
1. Yes, we have not placed our Who Are We info yet into our websites. That is supposed to be in at our main websites. The conclusion that we are not openly upfront is spurious in so far as our exposure in the Forum is concerned.
People have done search on me and commented in the Forum too. But that said we should work on the official list of Who Are We, and we are compiling that together with the questions and comments we are gleaning from our Forum site.
Please note we are a totally brand new start from scratch gig, only 11 days into Pre Launch to promote free membership and expose KindredIMAcademy to the world out there, even as we tweaked and clear up some bugs. Please bear with us.
2. It is to be noted that Kindred IM Academy is one of the products of Kindred Enterprise LLC incorporated in the USA and to be expanded to Singapore as well soon.
The Courses are not retailable is correct because it is set up within the Academy program as a paid membership to be licensed to use the Courses but the electro-magnetic radiation.
Kindred Anti-Radiation Patch (KARP) is the other product and is only the first of the products to be in our Kindred Mall which should be populated with Amazon and other affiliated products later for our members and others outside to buy as retailed products.
3. The domain registration is set to private I believe it has to do with security issue. This will be reset later.
4. The KARP which sells for $60 each is not included in the initial $50 Registration, but later members will need to purchase them in lieu of Academy fee after they can afford it through earned remunerations.
Our approach is to get members in with the least obstacles, help them get to financial freedom, then only do we get ‘paid’.
We sow in tears before we reap a harvest. We bless and know we will be blessed in time. We call this approach our delayed gratification. Help others first and be blessed later.
5. Our affiliates are supposed to learn as students and then support-teach their downline and thus be remunerated increasingly as they ‘graduate’ from Course to Course. First as student then as support-teacher.
Not all may be a good student, even a participating student and thus fail to use the Academy set up as a knowledge based economy to help the 95% internet marketers who fail because of ignorance.
But just as we do not close down a school because there are many students who do not study or some even study, so is the case here.
The 80/20 phenomenon is expected. People may join for other reasons other than our stated goals.
This is thus not a gifting program which involves a mere giving of funds each to another. The 2X8 levels arrangement is to help organize the connections between the students-teacher and enable recognizable relations for them to remunerate their support-teacher as ‘tuition’.
Kindred only help manage the first 3 levels as our support because our members would be new. From Levels 4-8, all payments are directly paid from member to member as they qualify to use the Academy Licensed Courses and suppose to learn from and thereafter use them to support-teach, and or go on to be more informed internet marketers which is our intended goal.
6. People pay $50 for registration and $5 for Course 1 so that they can learn. Learning and earning however are not necessarily consecutive events. Ours is concurrent.
Our philosophy is one learn best by teaching. So as members join and start to learn, we encourage them to apply this philosophy by recruiting and support-teach and earn therefore at the same time.
From their earnings they can then upgrade by purchasing the next Course or Courses to further enhance their knowledge and thus greater remuneration potentials. This concept is prevalent everywhere in our daily vocation.
We keep learning, take courses, to get promoted or qualified for better pay. No different here.
7. To help members, the comp plan does have a very low affordable entry of just $5. However this is ‘cut-off’ at Level 3 whereby we cease managing their payments having help them push start their direct Course payment engagement with us.
The remunerations continue for members from Levels 4-8 as a direct support-teacher to students, or to put it, now as a 1X16X2X5 ie. The support-teacher now at level 4 has a ‘starting’ support-teacher group of 16 students to start, who pays him, and his downline to the last level remunerating him as well as they grow.
So on the surface the calculations is based on just $5 entry.
Our estimation is people learn and earn, then from their earnings upgrade to learn more, and earn more, growing their own support-teach group members with their downline.
We use the 1X2X8 but our members learning and earnings should not stop with our Academy, which is a primer to help the 95% internet marketers who fail to make any money online.
We hope they would go on to further their internet marketing learning even elsewhere where more in depth and current issues are dealt with, made easier to join with the money they have earned, because they can be very costly.
The side effect is many who do not go on are still potentially blessed by the system.
8. Each person has to work together with his downline to get their 3 in our comp plan requirements. Thus the conclusion needs to be salted.
While as the matrix base grows wider and thus a slowing down effect will be felt, we have in place a 60+30 days time frame for members to recruit their 3 or buy.
Failing which their Course license cease, and they are removed.
The comp plan seen as layered personal matrix means each person has to see his own 510 support-teach group/downline as his work to get fully remunerated.
So everybody has his 510 chance, just as those who come in earlier.
I hope the above comments somehow clarify and carry our heart message in spite of our imperfection in implementation.
So again thank you for the unmitigated review, hopefully you will re-visit and re-review and re post with fresh conclusion.
A person has only one life to live. I am going to be 59. Another in our team is 80. One I think is in his 70s, and others younger.
One life and we take nothing out – we can’t.
I choose to die emptied! But for now here is our intended contribution to the pain in the internet marketing sphere – hopefully to make a difference and help many to be financially free – living and leaving with no regrets.
Thank you.

Blessed to be a blessing to the nations.
On behalf of Kindred – a place to learn and earn at the same time.
@Yew
You and your friends have positioned yourself at the top of the gifting chain.
The only “work” that needs to be done is to find subsequent suckers to gift you and your friends funds.
Do you have an actual physical presence in the US, or is it a shell registration?
They are not retailable because they are simply bundled with cash gifting positions. Whatever you bundle with said positions has no relevance.
But all that’s really happening is they pay a fee, get funds from subsequent recruits. Use those funds to pay a larger fee, get a larger amount of funds from subsequent recruits, use those funds to pay an even larger fee etc. etc.
That’s cash gifting, and it’s illegal in the US, Malaysia and Singapore.

Hello there,
I would just like to point out that your review was written when KIMA was in the PRE prelaunch stage. At the time, we were beta testing the site, and had done no promoting whatsoever.
The identities of our program administrators are known to all our members, and have never been “hidden”. (You may wish to check the Who Is of our domain again.)
Our team of admins live in the US, Canada, Singapore, India and Malaysia, and yes…we do have physical addresses, and are a registered US company.
(A personal note: I have been a teacher for over 40 years (now retired), and am a respected member of the BC Teachers Federation.)
Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season, Oz.
Margaret
That’s nice, are you still all sending cash gifting payments to each other?
Hiding the identity of owners in MLM is a big red flag. Only dodgy schemes do it.
The details of which are…?
Thank you for the review and from what I’ve heard and read here. It looks very sketchy indeed.
My boss invested money in something years ago and it was called Pyramid. As I heard it was just about the same thing as IM Acadamy and it went bankrupt because it was illegal. He had to pay every single cent back.
