The company represents it is based out of Texas. The corporate address provided on B3 Sciences’ website however is a virtual address provided by Davinci Virtual.

Heading up B3 Sciences is Founder and CEO Mike DeBord (right).

As per DeBord’s B3 Sciences’ corporate bio;

He was earning more in 18 months in his Network Marketing Business than he was as a Doctor treating 50 patients a day.

His success allowed him to retire from being a physician. For the last 10 years he has lived and exciting life of a Network Marketing Millionaire.

DeBord’s LinkedIn profile suggests B3 Sciences launched on or around April 2018.

Neither NuVerus or any other MLM opportunities are featured on DeBord’s LinkedIn profile.

Npros cites DeBord as a Marketing Director with Extreme Research Corp and EnviroMax Plus (fuel tabs).

B3 Sciences markets a range of powdered supplements and personal fitness themed products.

  • B3 Meal – “a delicious meal shake that provides healthy nutrition”, retails at $59.99 for a 14 day supply
  • B3 Satisfy – “a new kind of weight management product”, retails at $49.99 for a 43 day supply
  • B3 Start – daily collagen supplement, retails at $59.99 for a 14 day supply

B3’s exercise products are tied together through their Exercise Tubing.

B3 Sciences’ Compensation Plan

B3 Sciences’ compensation plan combines retail, recruitment and residual commissions.

Residual commissions are paid out via a 3×8 expandable matrix. Two rank-based bonus pools are also available.

B3 Sciences Affiliate Ranks

There are two sets of ranks within B3 Sciences’ compensation plan, kit ranks (tied to Fast Start Package recruitment) and your standard affiliate ranks.

MLM Commission Qualification

To qualify for commissions B1 to B5 ranked affiliates must generate 50 PV a month.

  • B6 and B7 ranked affiliates must generate 100 PV a month
  • B9 and B9 ranked affiliates must generate 150 PV a month
  • B10 and B11 ranked affiliates must generate 200 PV a month
  • B12 ranked affiliates must generate 250 PV a month

PV stands for “Personal Volume” and is sales volume generated by retail sales and an affiliate’s own orders.

Kit Ranks

There are four kit ranks within B3 Sciences’ compensation plan:

  • Kit Only – sign up as a B3 Sciences affiliate through basic membership
  • Tier 200 – sign up with a B3 Starter Pack or purchase or sell 200 PV worth of B3 Sciences’ products to retail customers
  • Tier 500 – sign up with a B3 Fitness Pack or purchase or sell 500 PV worth of B3 Sciences’ products to retail customers
  • Tier 1000 – sign up with a B3 Founders Pack or purchase or sell 1000 PV worth of B3 Sciences’ products to retail customers

Note that if a B3 Sciences affiliate doesn’t purchase a Fast Start Package, PV qualification is accumulated and not time-sensitive.

Standard Ranks

There are twelve standard affiliate ranks within B3 Sciences’ compensation plan:

  • B1 – maintain MLM commission qualification and generate 50 GV a month
  • B2 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least one MLM commission qualified affiliate and generate 100 GV a month
  • B3 – maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain at least one personally recruited MLM commission qualified affiliate and generate 500 GV a month
  • B4 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least two MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B2 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 1000 GV a month
  • B5 – maintain MLM commission qualification, maintain at least two personally recruited MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B3 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 5000 GV a month
  • B6 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least three MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B4 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 10,000 GV a month
  • B7 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least four MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B5 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 25,000 GV a month
  • B8 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least five MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B6 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 50,000 GV a month
  • B9 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least six MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B7 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 100,000 GV a month
  • B10 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least seven MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B8 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 250,000 GV a month
  • B11 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least eight MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B9 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 500,000 GV a month
  • B12 – maintain MLM commission qualification, recruit and maintain at least eight MLM commission qualified affiliates, have at least two B10 or higher ranked affiliates in your downline and generate 1,000,000 GV a month

For both rank qualification criteria, GV stands for “Group Volume” and is PV generated by a B3 Sciences affiliate and their downline.

Retail Commissions

B3 Sciences affiliates earn up to a 20% commissions on products sold to retail customers.

  • Kit Only and Tier 200 affiliates earn a 10% retail commission rate
  • Tier 500 affiliates earn a 15% retail commission rate
  • Tier 1000 affiliates earn a 20% retail commission rate

Retail Achiever Bonus

Tier 1000 ranked B3 Sciences affiliates qualify for the Retail Achiever Bonus.

B3 Sciences Tier 1000 affiliates who generate $1000 in retail volume a month receive a 5% Retail Achiever Bonus.

If a Tier 1000 B3 Sciences affiliate generates $2000 in retail orders, they receive a 7.5% Retail Achiever Bonus.

Recruitment Commissions

When a newly recruited B3 Sciences affiliate signs up with a Fast Start Package, a residual recruitment commission is paid out.

  • the affiliate who recruited the new affiliate receives a 10% (Kit Only and Tier 200) to 15% (Tier 500 and Tier 1000) recruitment commission
  • their immediate upline (the affiliate who recruited them) is paid 5%
  • the first upline B6 ranked affiliate is paid 4%
  • the first upline B7 and B8 ranked affiliates are paid 3%
  • the first upline B9, B10 and B11 affiliates are paid 2% and
  • the first upline B12 affiliate is paid 1%

Note that these are coded commissions. This means that, with the exception of the immediate upline commission, higher ranked affiliates are paid the difference between their rank and what has already been paid out.

E.g. If a B9 upline affiliate is found after the immediate upline commission is paid, they receive the B6, B7 and B8 commissions in addition to their 2%.

The system then continues to search upline for a B10 or higher affiliate to pay the remaining 5% out to.

If a B10 affiliate recruits a new Fast Start Package affiliate, they are paid 15% (sponsor commission) plus 14% (B6 through B10 commissions).

The system then searches for a B11 and/or B12 to pay the remaining 3% out to.

Anytime a B12 affiliate is found, they are paid all remaining commission percentages (excludes immediate upline commission).

Siding Bonus

The Siding Bonus is a 1% recruitment bonus paid when same rank downline affiliates recruit Fast Start Package affiliates.

B6 and higher ranked B3 Sciences affiliates qualify for the Siding Bonus.

Residual Commissions

B3 Sciences starts paying residual commissions via a 3×8 matrix.

A 3×8 matrix places a B3 Sciences affiliate at the top of a matrix, with three positions directly under them:

These three positions form the first level of the matrix.

The second level of the matrix is generated by splitting these first three positions into another three positions each (9 positions).

Levels three to eight of the matrix are generated in the same manner, with each new level housing three times as many positions as the previous level.

Residual commissions are paid as a percentage of sales volume (both retail and recruitment) generated across the matrix.

  • B1 ranked affiliates earn 5% on level 1
  • B2 ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 and 2
  • B3 ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 3
  • B4 ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 4
  • B5 ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 4 and 4% on level 5
  • B6 ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 4 and 4% on levels 5 and 6
  • B7 and higher ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 4, 4% on levels 5 to 7 and 3% on level 8

Tier 1000 affiliates who are also B6 ranked receive an extra position on the first level of their matrix, expanding it in size to 4×8.

B9 ranked affiliates receive another position, expanding their matrix to a 5×8.

B12 ranked affiliates receive a third additional position, expanding their matrix to a 6×8.

Note that additional positions on the first level of the matrix fill the same as the rest (3 positions below, three more per position under that etc.).

Leader Bonus Pool

B5 Sciences takes 2% of company-wide generated sales volume and places it into a Leader Bonus Pool.

Leader Bonus Pool shares are allocated to B5 and higher ranked affiliates as follows:

  • B5 ranked affiliates qualify for five shares
  • B6 ranked affiliates qualify for ten shares
  • B7 ranked affiliates qualify for twenty-five shares
  • B8 ranked affiliates qualify for fifty shares
  • B9 ranked affiliates qualify for one hundred shares
  • B10 ranked affiliates qualify for two hundred and fifty shares
  • B11 ranked affiliates qualify for five hundred shares
  • B12 ranked affiliates qualify for one thousand shares

Note that the Leader Bonus Pool is only paid out if B3 Sciences’ company-wide revenue for the month exceeds revenue generated the same month of the previous year.

Founders Bonus Pool

B3 Sciences take 2% of company-wide generated sales volume and places it into to a Founders Bonus Pool.

Founders Bonus Pool shares are allocated to affiliates who’ve qualified at Tier 1000 and B3 or higher as follows:

  • B3 ranked affiliates qualify for one share
  • B4 ranked affiliates qualify for two and a half shares
  • B5 ranked affiliates qualify for five shares
  • B6 ranked affiliates qualify for ten shares
  • B7 ranked affiliates qualify for twenty-five shares
  • B8 ranked affiliates qualify for fifty shares
  • B9 ranked affiliates qualify for one hundred shares
  • B10 ranked affiliates qualify for two hundred and fifty shares
  • B11 ranked affiliates qualify for five hundred shares
  • B12 ranked affiliates qualify for one thousand shares

As with the Leader Bonus Pool, the Founders Bonus Pool is only paid out if B3 Sciences’ company-wide revenue for the month exceeds revenue generated the same month of the previous year.

Joining B3 Sciences

Basic B3 Sciences affiliate membership is $39.99 annually.

New B3 Sciences affiliates can opt to sign up with a Fast Start Package:

  • B3 Starter Pack – $299.99
  • B3 Fitness Pack – $499.99
  • B3 Founders Pack – $999.99

The purchase of Fast Start Packages increases a affiliate’s commission rates (see compensation plan above for details).

All Fast Start Packages include basic affiliate membership plus an assortment of B3 Sciences products.

Conclusion

While retail is possible within B3 Sciences’ MLM opportunity, it’s let down by pay to play and an extremely strong emphasis on autoship recruitment.

There is nothing inherently non-compliant about affiliate autoship, provided products ordered are being ordered for consumption.

Problems arise when autoship becomes a vehicle for commission qualification.

B3 Sciences tells new affiliates to sign up for autoship “to ensure your success”.

Your monthly order ensures you are qualified with Personal Volume to be active for commissions.

And it’s not just a one-off. This sentiment is repeated multiple times throughout B3 Sciences’ marketing materials;

When you enroll as a new Consultant, we recommend you purchase an optional Fast Start Package.

In fact when signing up, B3 Sciences really turn up the pressure on getting new affiliates onto autoship, by getting them to explicitily acknowledge the following if they opt out;

I do not want an autoship, and understand that I may not be active in any given month, and may forfeit potential commissions.

These examples demonstrate a overbearing focus on autoship recruitment, which is further reflected in B3 Sciences’ compensation plan.

Primary red flags in B3 Sciences’ compensation plan are pay to play and autoship recruitment.

Rewarding affiliates with higher commissions who sign up with more expensive Fast Start Packages is pay to play, regardless of whether alternative qualification criteria is available.

Again emphasizing recruitment over retail, B3 Sciences punishes affiliates who don’t buy a Founders Pack or who aren’t otherwise Tier 1000 qualified, by halving their retail commission rate.

On top of that you have recruitment commissions paid on Fast Start Package recruitment, which when combined with the “sign up for autoship or you’ll lose commissions!” pressure marketing, pretty much gives the game away.

While we can look to B3 Sciences’ compensation plan and demonstrate a bias toward recruitment over retail however, what we can’t do is write off all their affiliates as recruitment-hungry scammers.

To their credit B3 Sciences are upfront about their products and retail pricing. And they do pay a bonus based on generated retail volume.

Why that bonus is only available to Tier 1000 qualified affiliates though? Who knows.

Any legitimate MLM company should be bending over backwards to encourage affiliates to generate retail sales.

Anyway, as a prospective B Sciences affiliate what you want to ask your potential upline is how they’re qualifying for commissions.

If it’s a 50 to 250 PV a month autoship order, you know for a fact they aren’t making significant retail sales.

That’d mean they expect you to sign up and get on autoship, recruit others who do the same and before you know it you’re drowning in pyramid scheme debt.

Worse still, if the majority of B3 Sciences affiliates are self-qualifying for commissions, earned on a majority of affiliates self-qualifying for commissions etc. etc., the company itself is operating as a pyramid scheme.

At this stage of review conclusion you might be wondering why I haven’t touched on B3 Sciences’ products.

Unfortunately when you’ve got a compensation plan with as many red flags as B3 Sciences has, your products take a back seat.

The tragedy of B3 Sciences’ autoship recruitment focus is they have products with what appear to be theoretical retail viability.

I say theoretical because it’s important to note the products only provide a 14 day supply.

You’re basically looking at two orders for a month supply, and that might be a tough sell versus local or other online offerings.

This is of course secondary to compensation plan concerns but should still be part of your B3 Sciences due-diligence.

Approach with caution.
