Gregory Aggesen has pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering through promotion and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

The charges were filed against Aggesen in early 2022, as part of a group of indictments targeting EmpowerCoin, ECoinPlus and JetCoin scammers.

Aggesen (right) signalled to the court he intended to plead guilty in September 2023. A Change of Plea hearing was subsequently scheduled for November 15th, at which Aggesen pled guilty.

At the conclusion of the hearing, the US Probation Department was ordered to file a Presentence Investigation Report by May 15th, 2024.

Pending scheduling of his sentencing, Aggesen remains out on bail.

In addition to his pending criminal sentence, Aggesen was sued by the CFTC on related fraud charges in March 2022.

The CFTC’s civil fraud against Aggesen has been stayed pending conclusion of criminal proceedings.

Aggesen’s co-defendants Mardy Eger and William White have also pled guilty. Remaining defendant Dwayne Golden maintains his innocence and is heading towards trial.

Following an April 16th Minute Entry, Golden’s trial scheduling will be set on April 23rd.

Update 24th April 2024 – Dwayne Golden’s JetCoin trial has been scheduled for April 14th, 2025.
