While the SEC drags its feet, Texas continues to lead the charge against MLM cryptocurrency fraud in the US. The latest from the Texas Securities Board is an emergency cease desist issued against BitConnect.
BitConnect provide no information on their website about who owns or runs the business. The BitConnect website domain (“bitconnect.co”) was privately registered on February 9th, 2016. As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.
