25 suspects in Italian Ushare Ponzi investigation
Italian authorities have concluded an investigation into Daniele Marinelli’s Ushare Ponzi scheme.
Including Marinelli, twenty-five suspects have accused of fraud, financial misconduct, money laundering and embezzlement.
BehindMLM reviewed Ushare in late 2021, noting the scam’s website domain was first registered in early 2020.
Ushare was a reboot of Daniele Marinelli’s collapsed Diamond Temple Coin Ponzi scheme.

Marinelli hoped to cash in on the COVID-19 pandemic, and this was reflected in Ushare’s marketing.

Italian authorities allege Diamond Temple Coin and Ushare defrauded ~30,000 victims out of at least 36 million euros.
As reported by Il Sole 24 Ore on November 15th, funds laundered through Ushare were laundered through “postal savings bonds, mutual funds, or bonds issued by local banks.”
Marinelli, considered the mastermind of the pyramid scheme, along with 10 others under investigation, are accused of implementing schemes and deceptions by advertising products, investments, and corporate transactions presented as initial capital increase tools on numerous websites and on Telegram, as well as with the launch, on February 8, 2017, of the cryptocurrency Dtcoin.
A November 10th report from Umbria Settegiorni goes into more detail;
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the money raised would have instead flowed into the bank accounts of the network’s members, managers, and promoters, through a series of companies based in Italy, England, and Malta.
The proceeds of the operation, according to the prosecution, would then have been reinvested in luxury goods—cars, motorcycles, boats, real estate—as well as life insurance policies, cryptocurrencies, and financial funds, in a mechanism that investigators attribute to a classic pyramid scheme.
Reader comments on BehindMLM’s Ushare review suggest withdrawal issues began mid 2022. Following a London Stock Exchange IPO marketing campaign, Ushare went on to collapse around March 2023.
Marinelli appears to have continued defrauding consumers through DT Socialize.

DT Socialize’s website is still up on the domain “dtsh.io”, privately registered on May 17th, 2022.
DT Socialize was still active on Instagram as of November 18th, 2025. Comments on DT Socialize’s posts are disabled.
DT Socialize sees Marinelli jump from MLM crypto fraud to the AI grift bandwagon.

Tied into this is Maia AI and Synapsia, an Italian company Marinelli founded around the time of DT Socialize’s launch.
Note there are two Synapsia AI companies. Marinelli’s Synapsia operates from “synapsia.ai”, registered through a Perugia, Italy address on April 23rd, 2022.
In March 2025, Marinelli announced Synapsia had signed a purported
$2.5-billion contract with UAE’s Bold Technologies to provide AI-powered city management services for Abu Dhabi.
On its website, Bold Technologies claims it “leverages best-in-class technology and international standards to deliver high-level security solutions.”
The purported contract between Synapsia and Bold Technologies is baloney about an AI-powered “cognitive city”:

Bold Technologies is part of Bold Holding, headed up by Chairman Shiekh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan and Managing Director Hamad Alshamsi (also CEO of Bold Technologies).

Rather than legitimate business operations, Synapsia’s purported Bold Technologies contract appears to be a cover for Marinelli fleeing Italy for the UAE.
A month after the Synapsia UAE contract announcement, Marinelli re-announced the same purported contract under a different company name; My Aion Inc.
From a May 20th, 2025 press-release;
BOLD Technologies, a subsidiary of BOLD Holding, and My Aion Inc. have officially announced their strategic partnership to develop AION SENTIA Cognitive City, a next-generation AI platform designed to manage and optimize complex urban systems.
The initiative, structured under a $2.5 billion Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, will leverage MAIA, My Aion Inc.’s proprietary AI core engine …
There is no mention of Synapsia in the press-release.
Specific to Marinelli fleeing Italy for the UAE;
“Relocating our global operations to Abu Dhabi marks a new chapter for our team,” added Daniele Marinelli, CEO of My Aion Inc.
“The UAE offers the infrastructure and institutional support needed to scale responsibly and strategically.”
The next step in the Italian Ushare criminal case is indictments against Marinelli and his Ponzi co-conspirators.
While Dubai is usually the destination of choice form criminals on the run, neighboring Abu Dhabi is still part of the same UAE.
It’s unlikely Italian authorities will be able to secure Marinelli’s arrest while he operates under the protection of a UAE Sheik.
