My 1 Dollar Business Review: Savings Highway rebooted
The My 1 Dollar Business identifies Steve Gresham as Founder of the business.
According to the My 1 Dollar Business website domain registration, Gresham is based out of Georgia in the US. This is presumably where My 1 Dollar Business is being operated from.
Gresham (right) first appeared on BehindMLM’s radar in 2012, as the founder of Savings Highway.
Savings Highway was a matrix-based recruitment scheme. The company only sold monthly affiliate memberships, with Savings Highway affiliates paid to recruit new affiliates.
Alexa statistics for the Savings Highway website suggest the scheme was pretty dormant throughout 2016. The collapse of Savings Highway has likely prompted Gresham to launch My 1 Dollar Business.
Read on for a full review of the My 1 Dollar Business MLM opportunity.
The My 1 Dollar Business Product Line
My 1 Dollar Business has no retailable products or services, with affiliates only able to market My 1 Dollar Business affiliate membership itself.
Bundled with My 1 Dollar Business affiliate membership is access to
membership benefits programs, 24-hour roadside assistance, family legal plan, 24-hour shopping concierge, worldwide travel program, worldwide condo program, tax deduction software, vacations, personal development success modules and more.
My 1 Dollar Business affiliate membership also provides access to
a wonderful store for you to refer customers to where they purchase a variety of in-demand products and services including health, beauty and hot technologies.
The store however doesn’t appear to have anything to do with the My 1 Dollar Business MLM opportunity.
The My 1 Dollar Business Compensation Plan
The My 1 Dollar Business compensation plan sees affiliates purchase $1 a month positions in a 2×10 matrix.
A 2×10 matrix places an affiliate at the top of a matrix, with two positions directly under them:
These two positions form the first level of the matrix. The second level of the matrix is generated by splitting each of these two positions into another two positions each (4 positions).
Subsequent levels of the matrix are generated in the same manner, with each new level generating twice as many positions as the previous level.
A 2×10 matrix extends down ten levels and houses a total of 2046 positions.
Direct Recruitment Commissions
My 1 Dollar Business affiliates are paid 20 cents per affiliate they recruit.
This commission is paid out monthly as long as the recruited affiliate continues to pay their $1 a month affiliate fee.
Residual Recruitment
A 5 cent a month residual recruitment commission is paid on affiliates placed anywhere in the 2×10 matrix (includes personally recruited affiliates).
Residual commissions are paid monthly as long as recruited affiliates continue to pay their $1 a month affiliate fee.
Note that to qualify for residual commissions, a My 1 Dollar Business affiliate must recruit at least two affiliates.
Matrix Phases
Commissions in My 1 Dollar Business are increased when recruited affiliates pay more money each month.*
- Phase 1 ($10 a month) – $2.50 per affiliate personally recruited and 50 cents per affiliate placed in the matrix
- Phase 2 ($20 a month and must have at least ten affiliates in your matrix) – $4 per affiliate personally recruited and $1 per affiliate placed in the matrix
- Phase 3 ($50 a month and must have a least twenty affiliates in your matrix) – $10 per affiliate personally recruited and $2.50 per affiliate placed in the matrix
- Phase 4 ($100 a month and must have at least fifty affiliates in your matrix) – $20 per affiliate personally recruited and $5 per affiliate placed in the matrix
Note that the individual phases only pay out respective commissions on affiliates in the matrix at the same phase.
Ie. If you are Phase 4 qualified but have no affiliates in your matrix at Phase 4, you wont earn any Phase 4 commissions.
Vacation
My 1 Dollar Business affiliates who reach Phase 4 ($100 a month) and personally recruit ten affiliates who do the same, receive a free 7-night vacation “valued at $1899”.
Profit Sharing
My 1 Dollar Business affiliates who reach Phase 4 ($100 a month) and personally recruit one hundred affiliates who do the same, receive a share in company-wide affiliate membership fees.
Each 100 Phase 4 affiliates recruited generates another share for the recruiting affiliate.
Super Affiliate Vacation
To qualify for a Super Affiliate Vacation, a My 1 Dollar Business must personally recruit one hundred fee-paying affiliates, fifty of which must be at the Phase 4 level for at least three months.
The Super Affiliate Vacation is
an all expense paid vacation including airfare for two plus $1,000 spending money for food and drinks.
That’s a 5-Star Luxury Dream Vacation worth $1,899 plus $1,000 spending cash plus Airfare for two from the Continental US.
Joining My 1 Dollar Business
My 1 Dollar Business affiliate membership starts at $1 a month.
Full participation in the My 1 Dollar Business costs $181 a month.
Conclusion
Nearly everyone has $1.00 and the system can take you automatically from $1.00 up to hundreds or thousands in potential monthly income and provide valuable benefits without any extra work!
As with Savings Highway, the problem with My 1 Dollar Business is 100% of commissions are paid out on affiliate recruitment.
This makes My 1 Dollar Business a pyramid scheme.
My 1 Dollar Business does bundle various third-party services and products with affiliate membership, however in MLM products and services need to be sold to retail customers.
Retail customer sales generate commissions for affiliates, which in My 1 Dollar Business are completely absent.
If My Savings Highway had retail sales with products and services of value, it never would have collapsed.
With My 1 Dollar Business Steve Gresham has basically recycled his Savings Highway assets and attached an updated four-tier compensation plan.
As with all recruitment-driven schemes, once recruitment of new affiliates dries up those at the bottom of the My 1 Dollar Business matrix will not earn any commissions.
This will see them stop paying their monthly fees, which means those above them stop getting paid.
They too stop paying their monthly fees. As this effect slowly trickles up the company-wide affiliate-base, eventually an irreversible collapse is triggered.
That’s exactly what happened in My Savings Highway and My 1 Dollar Business will be no different.
What with My 1 Dollar Business being a reboot scheme, expect a good portion of affiliates placed at the top to be former earners in My Savings Highway.
Once again these affiliates will earn the majority of commissions paid out, at the expense of the majority of affiliates placed under them.
Thanks for the heads up this company is planning on going public really soon this month from what i heard from a good friend of mine that joined last month while on their Pre-Launch mode.
i almost fell for this company sounded way too good for $1 sign up fee. Until i found out about the past history of the company and leadership. Good Eye Oz.
I can tell you now that’s not going to happen. At least not legitimately.
Hey Oz i was just told they are planning to launch this company this weekend and they can go worldwide with this company. What are your thoughts in this company expansion?
Geez Kouleeze,
Let’s get you in the right mindset.
Imagine if a former dealer told you he was getting his new drug business in order and it would “launch” on the weekend. He also adds that he foresees his business expanding to the worldwide market soon.
Are you going to ask your financial advisor his thoughts and if you should invest?
Stop thinking like this is a real business and you’ll realize how silly your question is.
What exactly can go “world wide” with this company? This is what the company offers:
Travel/Vacation, maybe. Condo, maybe. Nothing else can go world wide. It’s obviously North America only.
So whatever you were promised was at least a half-lie. It’d be up to you to find out if the other half are lies as well.
thanks for your guys input i’m still new to this industry and it doesn’t hurt to ask for other peoples opinions. I wonder how long this company will last.
Based on the guy’s previous business, maybe 2 years.
That is, if you can even call that a “business”.
@Kou
My thoughts are (see review conclusion above).
You write:
This is not correct. When you’re in Phase 4, it’s “only” $100 per month.
You don’t pay for all phases when you’re in phase 4.
So how do you earn the Phase 4 $20 commission rate then. Or is it only paid out on Phase 4 affiliates and you don’t get paid on Phases 1 to 3 anymore?
Recruited Phase 1 to 3 affiliates are put in separate matrices so I can’t see them being re-entered into a single Phase 4 matrix.
I don’t know why people are always negative in anything they find themselves in. If savingshighway was struggling and the owner now wants to spice it up, isn’t this what comes with business?? Isn’t this part of entrepreneurship?
There is no pie-in-the-sky business opportunity out there- PERIOD! Life is about risks. To take a minimal risk by investing $1, is a mitigated risk.
So, quit whining. If you want to succeed in life, you need to take a plunge! If it works, you’ll be rich! If it doesn’t, you get up, and plunge again!
Participating in pyramid schemes is akin to “plunging” into concrete.
No matter how many times you do it it’s not going to get any better.
I see most of you are negative about My 1 Dollar business because of past failure by owner. But you all know one fall does not stop you from rising up again. Actually it gives you more knowledge and understanding and makes you much stronger once you rise again.
All of us learn from our past mistakes. I see this a great opportunity which is also much affordable. Mr Steve has good ambitions in creating this business.
Am ready to work with it, instead of sitting and looking at others earn and all i can do is criticize and yet the business is so simple to join and to do.
False on two counts:
1. Negativity has nothing to do with facts.
2. The concern is My 1 Dollar Business is a pyramid scheme with no retail activity.
Yet here we are with another pyramid scheme and people like you “ready to work it” (and lose money again).
Except for you, apparently.
Hey I just joined my2dollarbusiness and they’ve developed better tools and much more products services and benefits.
I guess all these negative comments come from people who joined and didn’t work hard enough to succeed. The hide key of this business is mindset.
You no longer have a boss you are your own boss and you must be clear that you make money if you are persistent, the new strategies of this company help And support you 100% now tho.
So the risk is $1. Nothing to lose.
What you attach to a pyramid scheme doesn’t matter.
Facts are facts. Whether you believe them to be negative or not is neither here nor there.
Nah. It’s as simple as buying into a pyramid scheme and then getting paid to recruit new participants.
Stop making excuses for your scamming and own your thievery.
It costs $181 a month to fully participate in My 1 Dollar Business. Pretending My Dollar Business costs $1 a month is disingenuous.
And that is all it is – a “guess” and a wrong one at that.
One doesn’t have to jump off a building to know it’s not a good idea, nor join an obvious pyramid scheme to discover it’s both illegal and guaranteed to take your monry
Boss of what?
You are actually just a minion working in a pyramid scheme.
Mr. Gresham’s latest, er, “offering” is My20DollarTravelBusiness. This is being promoted like crazy on the Internet or at least in Email-Marketing campaings I have been receiving.
“For the price of a pizza, I can have my own travel business!” I am a little skeptical of this: It sounds to good to be true to me.
I don’t suppose “My1DollarBusiness is around anymore? People were defending it to the hilt a year or so ago.
Mr. Oz, do you have any thoughts on this? “My20DollarTravelBusiness” is this another reboot of Steve Gresham’s last business?
Looks like My 20 Dollar Travel Business is another reboot.
If you visit the old My 1 Dollar Business website you get this message:
Thanks for the heads up, I’ve added My 20 Dollar Travel Business to the review list.
Hi, I sent you a detailed response to each item listed. Did you receive it?
