MWR Financial Review 2.0: $149.97 a month recruitment
MWR Financial began as My Warranty Rewards back in 2013. The company is founded by Jay Tuerk and Yoni Ashurov.
In 2015 My Warranty Rewards was rebooted as MWR Life. In addition to the original warranty plan, MWR Life added several additional phone-based services.
I initially figured MWR Financial was another reboot. MWR Life however is still operating under Yoni Ashurov (right) as President and CEO.
The primary difference between MWR Life in 2015 and today is that it focused in on discount travel services.
In 2021, a top MWR Life distributor was arrested in Andorra and charged with pyramid fraud related offenses.
As tracked by SimilarWeb, monthly website traffic to My Warranty Rewards’ website is sitting at around ~25,000 visits.
BehindMLM published its initial MWR Life review in October 2018. Essentially MWR Life saw MWR Life’s financial subscription service spun off as its own MLM opportunity.
The MWR abbreviation, originally standing for “My Warranty Rewards”, was also replaced with “Make Wealth Real”.
MWR Financial is headed up by CEO Brian House, a former Youngevity executive.
We’re also noting the recent appointment of Bill Andreoli as President.
Andreoli joins MWR Financial fresh from his brief stint at Richard Smith’s TranzactCard disaster.
Both MWR Life and MWR Financial are based out of Florida in the US.

The coded nature of the bonus allows higher ranked MWR Financial affiliates to receive overrides on Infinity Leadership Bonuses paid out to lower ranked affiliates in their downline (the difference is passed up till the full $150 is paid out).
Joining MWR Financial
MWR Financial affiliate membership is $249.97 and then $149.97 a month.
MWR Financial Conclusion
The biggest changes in MWR Financial since our 2018 review are:
- the monthly cost jumping from $40 a month to $149.97
- the compensation plan being streamlined (bonuses removed) and
- no retail customer requirements
Back in 2018 MWR Financial’s commission qualification criteria revolved around Customer Points, all of which could be (and were likely) self-funded.
Now MWR Financial affiliates just need “customers”, which can be themselves and recruited affiliates.
To be Active, your Biz Center must be current. To be Qualified, you must be Active with at least 1 Active Customer of which can be yourself.
This lends itself to MWR Financial operating as a pyramid scheme.
This has been a problem since 2018;
Ranking up in the MWR Financial compensation plan introduces recruitment requirement and higher Customer Point amounts.
The problem is the higher Customer Point amounts can be satisfied via recruitment. 2 points per personally recruited affiliate signed up to Financial Edge if I’m not mistaken.
This signing up for Financial Edge and then recruiting affiliates who do the same means an MWR Financial affiliate can ignore retail altogether.
Today new MWR Financial affiliates sign up and pay a monthly fee. Commissions are paid when they recruit others who do the same.
Retail commissions are available but there’s no inherent incentive or requirement to focus on them over recruitment.
MWR Financial marketing might also lend itself to potential FTC violations.
Take advantage of the ONLY membership that can actually put more money in your pocket EVERY month than what it costs to participate!
That’s a quote from MWR Financial’s website. If the majority of MWR Financial customers aren’t making more than $149.97 a month through use of subscription services, this could be construed as misleading advertising.
In identifying MWR Financial as a potential pyramid scheme in 2018, I concluded;
As a prospect MWR Financial affiliate, try paying for Financial Edge for three months before committing as an affiliate.
It’ll cost you the same as an affiliate anyway, so you’re not losing anything by doing so.
If after three months as a retail subscriber you’re satisfied you can market Financial Edge to other retail customers, proceed.
If not… well, you have your answer.
That still holds true today. If, as per MWR Financial’s marketing, you’re not making back more than $149.97 a month from using their subscription services, MWR Financial’s subscription isn’t retail viable.
From a due-diligence perspective that’s one way to confirm a pyramid scheme, which you’ll want to avoid.
