Jason Cardiff has been declared a fugitive on the run from US authorities.

The court’s declaration follows a February 4th ex-parte motion from the DOJ, seeking fugitive status and an arrest warrant.

In its February 5th order the court advised “an arrest warrant will issue”.

Cardiff’s fugitive status was confirmed following failure to return to the US on January 19th.

Cardiff (right) was arrested in late 2023 on fraud charges related to his company Redwood Scientific Laboratories. Redwood Scientific Laboratories ran the MLM company RengaLife, hence BehindMLM’s interest in proceedings.

After being granted bail on a $500,000 appearance bond, which the DOJ has now requested be forfeited, Cardiff was granted permission to travel to Ireland in July 2024.

After landing in Ireland Cardiff promptly developed “unexpected serious health problems” of his own, facilitating an extended stay in abroad.

On December 20th Cardiff was ordered back to the US by January 19th and, “absent extenuating circumstances”, warned the court was “unlikely to grant future requests to travel or extend travel.”

Although Cardiff tried to come up with extenuating circumstances regarding his “health problems”, the court remains unconvinced.

In light of Cardiff’s fugitive status, his scheduled July 15th, 2025 trial date has been vacated.

Irish authorities, acting on a previously granted extradition warrant, sought to apprehend Cardiff on January 14th. As alleged by Cardiff, upon showing the officers he had permission to be in Ireland, they settled for confiscating Cardiff and his wife’s passport.

Cardiff has Irish citizenship so it’s unclear whether Irish authorities will seek his arrest again. Stay tuned.
