Marlon & LaShonda Moore convicted of BINT fraud at trial
Following a four-day trial that began on January 5th, Marlon and LaShonda Moore have been convicted by a jury.
On criminal charges filed in relation to the Moores’ Blessings In No Time (BINT) MLM gifting scheme, the jury found the Moores guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, five counts of wire fraud and three counts of money laundering.
BINT launched during COVID-19 and saw the Moores (right) defraud over 10,000 consumers out of around $29 million.
The FTC filed civil fraud charges against the Moores in 2021. The Moores settled with the FTC for $9.7 million in mid 2023.
Criminal charges followed and the Moores were indicted in late 2023.
Sentencing remains pending, with the Moores facing up to 20 years on each count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud, and up to ten years on each money laundering count.
