iComTech Ponzi scammer Moses Valdez has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison.

Valdez, who sought time served, was sentenced on October 22nd, 2025.

iComTech was an MLM crypto Ponzi that collapsed in mid to late 2019.

Following his arrest in November 2022, Valdez is believed to have pled guilty under seal in mid 2024.

Valdez pled guilty to three counts of wire fraud, and one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and operation of an unlicensed money transmitting business.

In addition to prison time, Valdez is jointly liable for $789,218 in restitution with co-defendants Marco Ochoa, Juan Arellano, David Brend and Gustavo Rodriguez.

Upon completion of his sentence, Valdez will be subject to three years of supervised release.

As with David Brend, Valdez informed the court he’d filed an appeal against his sentence on November 6th.

All iComTech defendants have now been sentenced but I’ll continue to check the docket pending the outcome of Valdez’s and Brend’s respective appeals.
