Speak Asia COO Tarak Bajpai arrested in Mumbai
As has been well documented, over the past two months numerous Indian regulatory authorities have been conducting investigations into Speak Asia.
Following the overturning of a restraining order filed by Speak Asia earlier in the week which allowed India’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to again freeze their accounts, news comes in today that Speak Asia’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Tarak Bajpai has been detained.
In what was originally thought to be only detainment for questioning, Speak Asia themselves have confirmed that Bajpai has been arrested by India’s Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Mumbai and will be charged.
In a newsletter put out shortly following EOW taking Bajpai into custody, Speak Asia stated;
Despite our best efforts to engage with and offer all possible cooperation with all the authorities concerned including the Reserve Bank of India, EOW of both Mumbai and Delhi and all concerned ministries we continue to be targeted as defaulters.
Our COO Tarak Bajpai along with number of vendors who support us in India have been taken into custody by the EoW Mumbai at Indore and other places across the country.They are all being flown to Mumbai today morning to be charged with certain fictitious claims.
News reports are claiming that three other top Speak Asia executives are also pending arrest but short of what Speak Asia has mentioned above who they are at this stage is unclear. I imagine however that figurehead Indian CEO of Speak Asia, Manoj Kumar is definitely a strong candidate of the three.
Hilariously, Speak Asia also then encourage their members to ‘to come together and unite in this hour of crisis‘.
Yeah, good luck with that one guys.
The severity of the EOW taking Bajpai (photo right) into custody cannot be understated. The EOW wouldn’t have taken Bajpai in unless they were planning greater action and from all accounts this appears to be the final stages of Speak Asia, the end game if you will.
A regulatory crackdown which began back in late May with the original freezing of their bank accounts is now entering its final stages and dragging the entire company along with over a million members with it.
Personally, with members having gone unpaid for months and witnessing the increasing desperation and cult like manner Speak Asia adopted to convince members everything was fine, the detainment of Bajpai comes as no surprise.
Speak Asia’s original business plan was always recruitment driven and regardless of whatever they’ve added to it (shopping portals, ewallets etc.), Speak Asia’s big commissions still only payout based on the number of people you recruit to the company.
As for Speak Asia Global CEO Harendar Kaur, with the withdrawal of over $100 million USD last week out of Speak Asia’s India accounts to Singapore (where Kaur is allegedly based), she’s no doubt not likely to come out of hiding anytime soon.
She runs off with a considerable amount of members money and multi-level marketing’s reputation in India is utterly trashed.
Well played Ms Kaur, well played.
Update #1 9:25pm – India Today are quoting Bajpai as stating
I am going for a small investigation. The management of the company is there to support all Speak Asians. All departments have given us a clean chit and this too is a small investigation. I have stay order from high court to deal with unforeseen problems.
Apparently being arrested and hauled off to Mumbai is a ‘small investigation’.
Meanwhile the Economic Times are quoting Superintendent of Police Amarinder Singh on the arrest;
The Mumbai police has arrested the chief operating officer of an online survey company for alleged financial irregularities.
Tarak Bajpai, the Chief Operating Officer (CEO) ofSpeak Asia, an online survey company, was arrested late last night in connection with a forgery case from the Vijay Nagar police station area.
Financial irregularities and fraud? The plot thickens.
Update #2 July 29 2011 – IBN are reporting that three other men were arrested along with Bajpai.
Financial Manager Ravi Khanna, the webportal”s technicians, Rajeev Malhotra and Rais Khan, were (also) arrested in Mumbai.
One more accused, Deepak Sarkar, who first became an investor in the firm and later played a key role in the crime, has been detained and is being brought to Mumbai, said Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Himanshu Roy.
The four of them (and most likely fifth when he’s put in fronnt of a judge are being held in custody till August 4th.
Meanwhile ‘Chairman of Speak Asia, Haren Kaur, the firm”s India Chief Executive Officer, Manoj Kumar Sharma, and others allegedly involved in the multi-crore scam have been shown as wanted in the case‘.
Good luck catching Kaur guys, she’s most likely cut and run along with her millions long before all this went down.
I think speakasia is taking a good jump and as per my knowledge they have not cheated on anyone and all my friends are getting their money back as mentioned in their aggreement. I think that MR.KIRIT SOMAIYA WANTS A BRIBE FROM THE COMPANY. MR SOMAIYA I THINK WE ALL KNOW YOUR THIRST FOR MONEY AS YOU YOU POLITICIAN ARE BIG TIME MOTHERF*****RS.
kirit somya IS NO RIHG T TO SPEAK, I THINK HE NEED MONEY FOR REGISTER COMPNAY IN INDIA. JAY HO SPEAK ASIA WE ALL WITH U.
Whatever it is, please allow Speakasians to work for Speakasia and earn money. Please against us, kindly consider this mail. Am proud to be a Speakasian!
@Prashant
Cmon, Speak Asia are operating a blatant pyramid scheme here. They’ve cheated the entire Indian public.
Attacking mr Somaiya doesn’t change the fact Speak Asia are running a pyramid scheme.
@raj
Why not?
…like lambs to the slaughter.
@Shanthi
Even if that means working in an unsustainable business model that will inevitably rip people off as it exhausts itself?
There’s a reason the pyramid scheme business model is illegal.
speakasia is a good company.
I fully trust SpeakAsia.
Hi all,
responding from bangalore.is this issue affecting the survey,we use to get the survey around 6pm every week.it is exactly 11:10pm now the survey is not realesed yet, am worried.
@pyramod
Out of curiosity, can I just ask why you’re still doing the surveys?
Speak Asia hasn’t been able to pay anyone since late May. They just recently transferred over 100 million USD out of India and their Indian COO has been taken into custody and charged with fraud.
…do you really think you’re going to get paid at this point?
IF SPEAKASIA IS WRONG THEN ALSO ARREST ALL MULTI NATIONAL COMPNAY CEO WHOM PAID LOT OF MONEY TO BRAND AMBESSODR FOR ITS PRODUCTS SALE, AND ALSO ARREST THOSE PERSON WHO TAKE LOTS OF MONEY LIKE SACHIN,DHONI,AMITAB BACCHAN .ETC.
SPEAK ASIA IS WRONG BECUASE THEY PAY MONEY TO EVERY INDIAN MIDDLE CLASS PERSON WHO HAVE EVEN NOT GET RIGHT JOB IN COUNTRY,
SO WHAT ABOUT WE ALL SAY ABOUT THAT MULTINATIONAL BRANDED COMPANY WHO PAY CRORE OF RUPEES TO SINGLE PERSON,
ANY ONE CAN ANSWER ME ?
JAY HO SPEAK ASIA
hi, nobody as of now knows what the truth is (whether a fraud or not).
its good that we are stopping Speak Asia from pulling out more money from our country. But what about the people who have already put in thousands of rupees into this, because of the govt. taking action, the current investors are also not getting their money back!! is that not wrong ? shouldn’t the govt protect the investors’ interest ?
this is basically getting people to go against the govt. If the govt. really cares it should first look into getting the money of the investors back !!
Am I not correct ?
hey i hope speak asia gets a clean chit .
Then you should blame SpeakAsia, its lawyers, and the judge who allowed the account freeze to be lifted.
CID froze the account, then SpeakAsia and its lawyers filed an motion to block the freeze for 2 weeks, and it was granted by an Indian judge. During that period OVER ONE HUNDRED MILLION USD left India.
If you actually think ANY of that money is going back to India, you may as well wish for winning the lottery.
So your reason not wanting government intervention is because “existing” panelist will lose their money. However, what you don’t consider is “if I let SpeakAsia continue, even MORE PEOPLE will lose their money, even though I *may* get my money back by bringing more people into this scam”.
As for the rest of you who still believe in SpeakAsia, why? What have SpeakAsia done to earn your trust? Or is it because you felt your money is held hostage by them you MUST believe them somehow, instead of trusting your government to get your money back if possible? Do you realize you are all under duress and you have Stockholm syndrome? that you all became masochists?
@manish
I do. Speak Asia is a recruitment scam run by Harendar Kaur out of Singapore, simple.
It is, but it’s not the government’s fault, it’s Speak Asias – they are the ones who syphoned off the money to Singapore and will most likely never bring it back into India. They duped their members with talks of an ‘exit plan’ offering them their initial investment back which will obviously never eventuate now.
The government tried to seize Speak Asia’s assets but they fought against it as Kasey mentioned above. Not on behalf of their members, but rather so that they could pull the money out of India so that the authorities have no hope of recovering it.
No. The government should (and is) focussing on shutting this scam down so that even more people don’t get involved. Then, if they’re able they can look at seizing what’s left of Speak Asia’s financial assets.
@raj
Uh, Speak Asia doesn’t have any products.
Someone sounds upset. There there. I assume the people you’ve mentioned don’t participate in shady recruitment schemes… and just ‘accept money’ willy nilly? Who does that?
1. Speak Asia haven’t paid anyone since May.
2. Speak Asia is wrong because it’s a pyramid scheme. Seriously, at this point you really do need to accept that.
Multinationals usually aren’t recruitment driven pyramid schemes, nor do they only pay out their CEO’s.
Congratulations, you just broke the logic meter.
Speak asia is not scam. It have good business modality. it have already smart plan how can we give good employ opportunty in indian people.
it makes good cashfollowing. It makes india.
Some person want to down this company. But we people can not take this point. We all people fighting for this case.
And your proof of this is what exactly? It sounds like you’re reading from a script… written by SpeakAsia. I think that was the whole point of the video they released earlier.
india poor. Do u know why. coz some people like this word. Who r they. Who fight against saol to get down. They are bad man of india. Die badman of india. if u die than we can earn. We can rich we want to hear india is rich.
Mate if Indians believe that the way to riches is only via the participation of blatant pyramid schemes, then I’ve got news for you;
India is going to remain poor for a very, very long time to come.
…and it’s got nothing to do with ‘badman‘.
(see Kasey, this was the kind of nonsensical crap I was talking about, who are these brainwashed people?)
So you want government of India to go down? I believe the proper word for that is “treason”. Will there be an India left if you succeed? Or will Pakistan take over?
@Oz — and they say India will take over the world… not with mindless masses like this… Can you say… ‘sheep’?
Arrests are coming fast and furious for SpeakAsia!
http://efmp.wordpress.com/2011/07/31/police-today-arrested-a-panelist-of-speak-asia/
There’s pretty much no recovery from this. Finally we’re seeing the fruits of months of investigation.
I also spotted this over at the Mumbai Mirror;
Whaaat? I’m sure I remember reading a press release from Speak Asia detailing that they were almost done refurbishing some offices in Mumbai just a few weeks ago!
Finally, to all the members of Speak Asia blaming the government and holding onto the misguided hope that Speak Asia are going to pay you;
Harendar Kaur has done a runner with your money folks, time to face the facts.
Here’s a better link:
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/SpeakAsia-fraud-could-be-over-8000-cr-Investors/articleshow/9426989.cms
Here’s documentation that it all had happened before.
David Murcia Guzman, of DMG Group, a Colombian Ponzi scheme, took down the Uribe government. Its supporters rioted in the streets, either to loot the DMG offices, or to clamor for Murcia’s release and reopening of DMG. Their battle chant: “Believe in God and Murcia”
Pyramid and Ponzi schemes will turn followers into cult members. They MUST believe in it to justify their own existence.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/31/world/americas/31murcia.html
i trust speakasia.it has turned hundreds of lives and gave a good future..it taught the panelist to dream..it has given a huge employment in india…and this is the bad result of good work…jai ho speakasia..
Details are emerging… It’s a money laundering scheme. Locals are setup to recruit, keep a portion for themselves, sending on the rest to Singapore, but NOT to SpeakAsia, but to Haren’s various OTHER companies.
http://www.indianexpress.com/news/speak-asia-dutch-firms-name-pops-up-hint-of-global-links/824907/0
@aks raj — out of supposedly 2 MILLION members, hundreds of lives were “turned”. What about the remaining 1.999 million?
Dream without reality is childish and stupid. Next thing you know, they’ll be asking for your life. In a way, they already did.
@Kasey
The demise of that Colombian scheme just sounds scary. I don’t imagine that’s the potential end game for Speak Asia, however with 2 million members under their belt it’s definitely something to keep in mind.
@aks raj
Panelists in SpeakAsia are nothing more than recruiters, huge employment in a pyramid scheme isn’t really employment and nor is it ‘good work’.
I wrote an article about how India may follow in the steps of Albania and Colombia if it doesn’t get this pyramid (and other pyramids like it such as TVI Express), under control.
http://kschang.hubpages.com/hub/When-a-Scam-Becomes-a-Cult-what-makes-it-possible-and-how-to-prevent-it
hi ! i just wud like to say that saol is doing right thing in a right way………….if they wud have to flew they wud have been…………they are here wd all saol panelist means de r in sme serious business…………….
i dont knw y all media and sme vested interest politician are behind saol. i hope and pray dat every thng ill settle down soon and saol il come out wd flying colors.
seems sucheta dalal and all the chamchas on her website have no other better work to do. Calling 20 lakh people associated with speakasia a fool they only bad mouth themselves and show how frustrated they are.
Agreed that they post articles related to other companies who have scammed but here calling it a scam when the company is still there and paying to its people regularly shows how frustrated these people are.
Nice way of coming in the media and forcing an investigation to block payments of 20 lakh panelists. Can she do anything for the people who have lost their hard earned money in other programmes. No! And here she is blocking the income of people who were working for an honest living.
This is the face of the Indian government.
The ministers simply feed in crores so the swiss bank which is all black money as their identity is protected in those banks and when people like anna hazare and ramdev revolt to these then they sort to physical assaults and bully to keep their mouth shut. Thousands of crores are kept in swiss banks by our minsters but they dont declare it as our national money, though they could easily do so if they put pressure on the world bank to put up an inquiry. Where is your concern gone there sucheta dalal?
You seem to be hitting on a topic like speakasia everyday for god knows what reason. You dont have any better work to do it seems rather you have got quite afraid of them as they have done in 1 year what you could not in decades. You seem to be running out of business ideas as far as we can see , nice way of coming in the media and putting pressure on them to disclose their clients perhaps you want 2 understand their business model?
Not that everyone knows such thoughts could never come across your mind in a lifetime so you wonder.
Perhaps if something is too good to be true it probably is! And it will be too good to be true for u as can be seen
If a person has good experience in marketing he does not need to study that field anymore, similarly if a person is already engaged in market research activities he does not need to pay anything to speakasia he can join for free do u know that? There is also an option of giving an exam which u pass u get it for free u know that? without knowing anything calling it an investment plan, 500% return,
lol your company seems to be going down the drain what speakasia has done in 1 year you could not do in so many so u post articles about how they arrange special trains for goa and charge so much, let it be proved that it is a scam and then call it one why posting so much stuff about it everyday do u want 2 know how their business works?
Too bad they wont tell u u can try for signing a non disclosure agreement with them probably ur business has run shot of ideas so its a nice way to try 2 put pressure on them to get their client base but all will be in vain rest assured.
If Moneylife has great interest in “enlightening” the people of this country, why do they stop with their lip service against SAOL.
By now they should have gone the extra mile in helping all panelists, agents etc in getting their money.
Come on SpeakAsians !!! Moneylife is waiting for a lifetime opportunity to assist their fellow country men…..
sucheta dalal, so called ngo activist, where is ur social work now?
@Rohit wrote
Company is where exactly? Visit to Singapore says “ask India”. Where’s the alleged office in Mumbai in the announcement?
As for paying its people regularly… Are you saying they have been payments since May despite company announcement?
Care to put some FACTS behind those words?
And where is this option on the website? Or is this like a secret option told to you only by your… upline?
They have to stop the money from leaving India first, and they did that by forcing the government to act.
But you are against that, aren’t you? You don’t want the government to attack SpeakAsia.
So what exactly are you saying?
@neeraj
There is no ‘right way‘ to do a pyramid scheme.
For all intents and purposes, they have ‘flew’. Speak Asia’s Indian CEO and global CEO are in hiding, over 100 million USD has been siphoned out of India to Singapore and members haven’t been paid for over two months.
Time to wake up mate.
It’s because Speak Asia are operating a pyramid scheme… and it’s certainly not a vested interest. The only people with a vested interest here are your friends Manoj Kumar and Harendar Kaur as they attempt to keep the ball rolling so as to leave a cold a trail as possible for authorities to follow.
@ROHIT
What does any of this have to do with Speak Asia running a blatant pyramid scheme?
What’s that? Another poor attempt as misdirection by a Speak Asia supporter?
Speak Asia has not paid anyone (except themselves in Singapore) since late May, what are you talking about?
Dalal isn’t blocking anything, the Indian regulators are and good on them for finally getting their arses in gear. Pyramid schemes are illegal afterall. Why do you lot keep overlooking that fact?
Conspiracy theories about the Indian government ministers aside, what’s there to understand?
Recruit people = make money. Can you say ‘pyramid scheme’?
Ladies and gentlemen that’s irony right there.
Lies. As of today you still need to pay Speak Asia to join and the exam is a requirement to join the company (although it seems to be largely waivered) – it’s got nothing to do with joining fees.
If there’s no joining fees then the great pyramid scheme doesn’t work as nobody gets paid. Speak Asia can’t operate in its current capacity without joining fees to cover upline commissions. That’s why it’s a pyramid scheme.
Proof? You either sit on your $20-$60 USD a day (depending on how many sub panels you open up), or you recruit people and make a decent income.
There are no products and the surveys are largely bogus with tainted results (people are able to respond multiple times under sub panels to increase participation numbers – where’s the accuracy in that?!).
What more proof do you need, Harendar Kaur to personally come to your house and cart off your belongings?
Proud to be speak asian.
@amit — thank you for volunteering for the cult membership demonstration. We can now confirm that Speak Asia is a cult that has brainwashed its people into denying reality.
Bajpai and friends are to be remanded in custody now until the 12th. Still no signs of Kumar but it’s pretty much a certainty he faces arrest if he sets foot in India again.
Last I heard he announced he’d be back in Mumbai by the end of the week. Wonder if he meant by the end of today, Sunday or was just hoping Bajpai would be released.
I am frustrated guys i had put in my 3 yrs savings (insurance money) i m frustrated and ve never been paid a single paise . . . I kneel before the almighty to save my hard earned money . . . .
@Ashok — you have two very simple choices:
1) Help the government arrest more crooks, and force the crooks to give up more money which will eventually be distributed to the victims. You won’t get all of it back, but you may get SOME back.
2) Help the remaining “SpeakAsians” perpetuate the scam, and fight the government, who has the law on their side, and watch India follow Albania (civil war) and Colombia (weakened economy) fight giant pyramid schemes. (Look up the lottery uprising [Albania] and DMG Grupo scam [Colombia])
3) Or you can do nothing and pray, but I don’t see that helping any.
Choice is yours.
Speak Asia EXIT OPTION says all. Panelists Reward Points WILL NOT BE PAID IN CASH. They can at best be transferred to Shopping E-wallet for generating more pins (for new suckers) or for buying their online displayed white good.
ARREST AND BASH HAREN KAUR AND MANOJ KUMAR UNTIL THESE THIEVES COUGH OUT ALL THE MONIES OF PANELISTS REWARD POINTS AND REGISTRATION CHARGES. ALSO TAKE OVER THEIR WEBSITE SO THAT MONIES CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO THE BANK ACCOUNTS OF THE PANELISTS.
until may till star channel came with a news all were getting paid, Does that mean its only because of some political forces tht this propagation was made delibrately to milk money from spol ?
This business had been running for more than an year before this may and had been paying to subscribers until then what was the star news doing and what were the authors and moderators of this blog been doing ?
If spol starts paying out will this blog appreciate and take back all its negative comments !
@Ashok
Getting paid doesn’t change the pyramid scheme business model Speak Asia is using. Often times these schemes go under the radar until they get too unsustainably big. With 1.8 million members and fast growing out of control, that’s pretty much what happened in April.
Again, payment does not legitimise the Speak Asia business model. And as for what I was doing, I first reviewed Speak Asia back in March;
I didn’t review them earlier as that was when they popped up onto my radar.
Nope. As mentioned above, payment does not legitimise a pyramid scheme business model.
More SpeakAsia hilarity. They “released free game”, a stupid flash game. What’s the subject? You’re a sniper out to shoot down reporters and such enemies of SpeakAsia on a beach, really.
http://www.speakasiahyderabad.com/2011/08/online-game-release-today-for-speak-asians/
And they claim to be non-violent peace protesters, eh?
@Chang
And hey i never tried that game yet . . .
But, even when US was waging a war for world peace against Iraq & Al Quida . . . Games like the same where made to kill Sadam and Osama.
Finally it came true and it was their downfall, Do u think this scenario will also follow in this case which would give a tight slap to media’s doing illicit things just for sake of publicity ?
@Ashok: US has declared formal on terrorists AND Saddam’s regime in Iraq. Has SpeakAsia became a nation and declared war on its enemies?
Your comparison is faulty. Such anti-Saddam / anti-Osama games are always the work of individuals out to get some publicity, not official position of any nation or organization. It does appear that SpeakAsia is making this rather official.
Lol, seems to be some pretty high tensions over there in the Speak Asia camp.
I wonder what the gun control laws are like over in India?
@Ashok
Uh, silly flash games on the internet weren’t Osama and Saddam’s downfall, their actions were.
If someone was shot I think you’d find that in an instant whatever credibility Speak Asia has left (and we’re talking micrograms here) would vanish.
That and I think you’d find nothing would change in the media. If anything, people tend to get pissed off when violence impedes their ability to access information. Just look at how violence has been met all around the world over the past 12 months or so and how the public has reacted.
Heard news that speak asia authorities had been bailed out . . . Is that true ?
@Ashok — appears to be true, each posted bail and was required to surrender their passports.
Apparently the judge considered their offense to be not worth taking up space in a jail, but important enough they can’t leave the country.
Indian’s Income Tax department wants to know where the money went as well.
The amount SpeakAsia transferred out to Singapore is now listed as 600 crore, or 133 million dollars, up from 104 million USD listed earlier.
http://www.hindustantimes.com/I-T-sleuths-to-question-Speak-Asia-COO/Article1-734504.aspx
Well that one’s easy, Harendar Kaur’s pocket.
Investigation over?
When you think about it, this must be one easy scam. Hire a bunch of fall guys in India, tell them it’s a great business and they’ll reap plenty of profit. Have them each hire a bunch of firms and individuals to take in payments, then make up the rest. Spend some of the money to charter that train to resort town and open a booth at the convention, lie about everything, sign up as many people as possible.
After a while, the scheme perpetuates itself and snowballs once it reaches critical mass. Just sit back and transfer as much money out as possible, spend some money on worthless activities. When caught, have your fall guys in India apologize, claim they were misunderstood, or something, and transfer even MORE money abroad, spend some of the money on lawyers to delay any inquiry, and write silly letters to placate the masses, who will hung on your every word as if it’s the new gospel.
Periodically release tiny bits of news that seem to suggest legitimacy but in actuality does no such thing, like change in business model, and let the members spin the news to suit their own needs, while even MORE money is sucked out of India. When government freeze accounts and start investigation in earnest, incite protests while making plans to disappear, leaving fall guys in India to take the blame.
Corporate Fraud Watch (ran by Shyam and Brear) actually sued SpeakAsiaOnline in India and got their date in court. First day appears to be standard maneuvering. The other side tries to claim that CFW lacks standing, but apparently the judge didn’t buy the excuse. The language is a bit melodramatic, but info seem to be good.
http://corporatefraudswatch.blogspot.com/2011/08/ap-high-court-understood-business-model.html
Can’t wait to read about Speak Asia’s ‘justification of the business model‘ tommorrow.
I imagine it will be full of the bullshit ‘consumer empowerment’ and ‘affiliate commissions on selling tvs’ crap that is non-existant. Should be great!
@K Chang & Oz…
Considering that India is a country of 1.2 Billion people, we could assume that atleast 1% of its population would be with lower IQ… and out of this 1% some 2 million could easily join Speakasia… so they’ll never understand what we say. They’ll live in denial… Once bitten twice shy…. LOL
I don’t know how accurate this report is, but MoneyLife are claiming that Bajpai is still sitting in Jail because
Oh and remember that sob story letter from Harendar Kaur pleading for a hearing with the RBI that was published a few days ago?
Turns out Speak Asia were granted a metting on August 24th in the afternoon but on in the morning they sent a letter to the RBI requesting a postponement.
Why?
Because ‘its officials were in jail‘.
As it stands only Mr. Bajpai is actually in jail. Where are all the other Speak Asia officials?! After all the fuss around Kaur pleading to the RBI for an audience was nobody able to sit down with the RBI?!
Kaur and Kumar are currently in hiding in Dubai, so they were out – but where on Earth are the rest of Speak Asia’s officials?!
Don’t tell me, they’re all in hiding for fear of being arrested…
@Oz — would not surprise me. Wasn’t it Pradesh Police that wanted to move Bajpai to their custody for questioning, but was turned down by the court? (Which was spun into a “victory” by the SpeakAsian sheep herd)
CorporateFraudWatch hits again, basically claimed that an Indian invented pyramid scheme by trotting out that “on a chess board, one grain of rice, two grains of rice…” story 🙂
Though the ending was a bit of a surprise. 😀 Good story nonetheless. So you see, Indians knew about pyramid schemes long time ago. 😀
http://corporatefraudswatch.blogspot.com/2011/08/what-is-speakasiaonline-counsel-being.html
I came across this site. It tells about the so called.. much spoken “BUSINESS PLAN” or Speakasia… http://speakasians.blogspot.com/2011/04/buisness-plan.html
Or should I say .. Ponzi Plan of Speak asia… LMAO
Hey Ram Survey also seem to be ran by the same crook… I guess this guy Manoj Kumar… is a big time crook… running many MLM/Ponzi schemes…
Heard a news tht in Bangladesh speak asia has been approved by its government any idea on this ?
@Ashok — SpeakAsians have been known to claim some pretty ****ing crazy things.
Let’s see, wasn’t it the other they claim “total victory in court” when the only thing they “won” was the judge denying Pradesh police’s request to transfer the perps into THEIR custody? Another claim to have read in Zee news something that doesn’t exist?
I wouldn’t care to believe any such news UNTIL it actually was published in multiple newspapers.
Indian Judges yell at EOW for not making investigations faster.
http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report_probe-of-frauds-where-common-man-is-victim-be-expedited-hc_1579313
Apparently EOW have a limit of 50 lakh. if it’s less than that, they don’t touch it, and local police handle it. However, local police tend to tell the people “go away, it’s a civil matter”, according to these reports.
Yeah without any tangible proof or a reliable source I’m not bothering to address the Bangladesh claim. For all we know it’s nothing more than some random Speak Asia member registering the company name ‘Speak Asia Bangaladesh’.
Management have never said anything about Bangaladesh so registering themselves there seems completely out of the blue.
@Kasey
Don’t forget ‘OMG BAJPAI WAS RELEASED ON UNCONDITIONAL BAIL WE’VE WON YAYAYA JAI YO SPEAK ASIA NOW WE CAN TAKE OVER THE WORLD!’
That one was quite amusing too.
