Vital Health Review: Illegal medical claims + autoship
Vital Health operates in the nutritional supplements MLM niche. The company states it was founded in February 2022.
Although it provides a US address tied to a Wyoming shell company on its websites, Vital Health appears to be based out of and run from Mexico.
Vital Health operates from two primary website domains:
- vitalhealthglobal.com – privately registered on October 25th, 2021
- vitalhealthint.com – privately registered on March 15th, 2024
Heading up Vital Health is CEO and co-founder Tony Rodriguez (right).
Rodriguez’s Vital Health corporate bio credits him with involvement
in network marketing for over 15 years. He has built top producing teams and has helped countless individuals achieve success in the industry.
Possibly due to language barriers, I was unable to verify this claim.
Vital Health has appeared on BehindMLM previously in relation to two lawsuits;
- Pruvit sued Vital Health in September 2024 alleging patent infringement
- Melaleuca sued Vital Health and Alex Reynoso in August 2024, alleging Reynoso was cross-recruiting his former Melaleuca downline into Vital Health
Pruvit and Vital Health reached a settlement in March 2025. The outcome of Melaleuca’s lawsuit remains pending.

Vital Health’s Products
Vital Health markets a range of dietary supplements of unknown origin. That said, Vital Health’s marketing suggests its supplements are manufactured in Mexico;
We own our lab facilities with doctors, scientists, chemists, and formulators that have years of experience manufacturing supplements and is registered with COFEPRIS and FDA as well as GMP compliant.
As listed on its website, Vital Health’s supplement range is as follows:

Vital Health claims its supplements are formulated using “cutting-edge science and technology”.
Despite making specific medical claim benefits in its marketing, Vital Health fails to provide peer-reviewed studies for any of its products.
Also note that Vital Health does not provide retail pricing for any of its products.
Vital Health’s Compensation Plan
Vital Health’s compensation pays out on product sales to retail customers and recruited affiliates.
Note that anything quoted in this section of the review is taken directly from Vital Health’s compensation documentation.
Vital Health Affiliate Ranks
There are nine affiliate ranks within Vital Health’s compensation plan.
Along with their respective qualification criteria, they are as follows:
- Affiliate – sign up as a Vital Health affiliate and refer one preferred customer
- Bronze – generate and maintain 50 PV a month and refer three retail customers or recruited affiliates
- Silver – generate and maintain 100 PV a month, recruit three active affiliates, refer three preferred customers and generate and maintain 3000 GV a month
- Gold – maintain 100 PV a month, recruit four active affiliates, refer four preferred customers and generate and maintain 10,000 GV a month
- Platinum – maintain 100 PV a month, recruit five active affiliates, refer three preferred customers and generate and maintain 25,000 GV a month
- Diamond – maintain 100 PV a month, recruit six active affiliates, refer five preferred customers and generate and maintain 50,000 GV a month
- Double Diamond – maintain 100 PV a month, recruit seven active affiliates, maintain five preferred customers and generate and maintain 100,000 GV a month
- Triple Diamond – maintain 100 PV a month, recruit eight active affiliates, refer six preferred customers and generate and maintain 250,000 GV a month
- Master – maintain 100 PV a month, recruit nine active affiliates, refer seven preferred customers and generate and maintain 500,000 GV a month
PV stands for “Personal Volume”. PV is sales volume generated by retail customer orders, recruited affiliate orders and a Vital Health affiliate’s own orders.
To count towards rank qualification, referred preferred customers must be ordering at least 40 PV of product each month.
GV stands for “Group Volume”. GV is the sum total of PV generated by a Vital Health affiliate and their downline.
Note that for GV requirements;
- Silvers can count no more than 70% of required GV from one side of the binary team
- Gold and above can count no more than 60% of required GV from one side of the binary team
For an explanation on the binary team, refer to “residual commissions (binary)” below.
Preferred Customer Program
A “preferred customer” is a retail customer who, in exchange for maintaining a monthly order, “get[s] access to discounts between 20 to 40%”.
A Vital Health affiliate can earn “up to 45%” of sales volume generated by preferred customer orders. Note that specific Preferred Customer Program commission rates are not provided.
Loyalty Bonus
The Loyalty Bonus rewards a Vital Health affiliate for
- maintaining a monthly autoship order
- referring preferred customers who maintain a monthly autoship order; and
- recruiting affiliates who maintain a monthly autoship order
Note that the affiliate’s own autoship order is mandatory to qualify for the Loyalty Bonus;
Purchase every month a minimum of 50 PV. If you do not make a purchase in a month, you lose continuity, your royalty rewards stop accumulating and the continuity of the months purchased resets.
The Loyalty Bonus pays up to 30% on sales volume generated on these orders as follows:
- second and third month of orders = 20% Loyalty Bonus
- fourth to eighth month of orders = 20% Loyalty Bonus
- ninth month onward = 30% Loyalty Bonus
Monthly Reseller Bonus
Vital Health encourages affiliates to purchase hundreds of dollars of product each month;
Every time you purchase 200 PV of product a month, you will be allowed to purchase an additional $200 USD of product at an 80% discount, generating up to a 1000% profit when reselling it.
Note Vital Health’s compensation plan makes no mention of whether claimed reselling actually takes place.
Fast Start Bonus
The Fast Start Bonus pays on sales volume generated by a referred retail customer’s or recruited affiliate’s first order.
- Bronze – generate 100 PV on both sides of the binary team and receive a $45 Fast Start Bonus
- Silver – generate 150 PV on both sides of the binary team and receive a $67.50 Fast Start Bonus
- Gold – generate 300 PV on both sides of the binary team and receive a $135 Fast Start Bonus
- Platinum – generate 600 PV on both sides of the binary team and receive a $270 Fast Start Bonus
Note that the Fast Start Bonus is calculated and paid weekly. There is an optional 30%/15% split if a Silver or higher ranked upline affiliate is nominated at time of recruitment.
For more information on how a binary team works, refer to “residual commissions (binary)” below.
Builder Bonus
To qualify for the Builder Bonus a Vital Health must
- refer three preferred customers and recruit three affiliates who place a 50 BV or higher; or
- refer six preferred customers.
If the above qualification criteria is met in a single month, a one-time $50 Builder Bonus is paid out
Note that to qualify for the Builder Bonus, a Vital Health affiliate must have signed up with a Silver or higher package.
Residual Commissions (binary)
Vital Health pays residual commissions via a binary compensation structure.
A binary compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a binary team, split into two sides (left and right):
The first level of the binary team houses two positions. The second level of the binary team is generated by splitting these first two positions into another two positions each (4 positions).
Subsequent levels of the binary team are generated as required, with each new level housing twice as many positions as the previous level.
Positions in the binary team are filled via direct and indirect recruitment of affiliates. Note there is no limit to how deep a binary team can grow.
At the end of each week Vital Health tallies up new sales volume on both sides of the binary team.
Residual commissions are paid as up to 20% of sales volume generated on the weaker binary team side.
- Bronze ranked affiliates earn a 10% residual commission rate
- Silver ranked affiliates earn a 12% residual commission rate
- Gold ranked affiliates earn a 15% residual commission rate
- Platinum ranked affiliates earn an 18% residual commission rate
- Diamond and higher ranked affiliates earn a 20% residual commission rate, capped at $25,000
Once paid out on, volume is matched against the stronger binary team side and flushed. Leftover volume on the stronger binary team side carries over (capped at 500,000 GV).
Note that residual binary commissions appear to only pay out on the first orders placed by referred customers and/or recruited affiliates.
Matching Bonus
Silver and higher ranked Vital Health affiliates receive a 50% Matching Bonus on residual commissions earned by personally recruited affiliates.
Residual Commissions (unilevel)
Sales volume generated by second and onward orders by referred customers and recruited affiliates, are paid out via a unilevel compensation structure.
A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):
If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.
If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.
At the end of each month second and onward order sales volume is tallied up across the unilevel team.
Residual commission are paid as a percentage of this sales volume based on rank:
- non-ranked affiliates (designated “affiliate”) receive 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates)
- Bronzes receive 10% on levels 1 and 2 and 20% on level 3
- Silvers receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 2% on level 4 and deeper
- Golds receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 4% on level 4 and deeper
- Platinums receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 6% on level 4 and deeper
- Diamonds receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 8% on level 4 and deeper
- Double Diamonds receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 10% on level 4 and deeper
- Triple Diamonds receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 12% on level 4 and deeper
- Masters receive 10% on levels 1 and 2, 20% on level 3 and 14% on level 4 and deeper
Generation Bonus
Starting at Gold rank, Vital Health pays out a Generation Bonus.
A Generation Bonus is typically paid out across generations calculated in each unilevel team leg.
Vital Health doesn’t define a generation in its compensation documentation, but it appears to be based on Gold and higher ranked affiliates in each unilevel team leg.
- Golds receive 1% on up to one generation per leg
- Platinums and Diamonds receive 1% on up to two generations per leg
- Double Diamonds and higher receive 2% on the first generation and 1% on the second per leg
Car Bonus
Vital Health affiliates who generate 3000 GV on both sides of their binary team each month qualify for an “up to $300” Car Bonus.
The Car Bonus can be put towards a lease, awarded as $300 in product credit, “$500 in product value at affiliate prices” or $150 in cash.
Gold and higher ranked affiliates receive a Luxury Car Bonus. The Luxury Car Bonus is an “up to $500” Car Bonus.
Again in lieu of the Luxury Car Bonus, an affiliate can opt to receive $500 in product credit, $700 in product or $250 in cash.
CEDIS Bonus
Vital Health affiliates can “purchase the rights to have a Distribution Center (CEDIS)”.
Affiliates who own the rights to a CEDIS receive 2% of PV generated by preferred customer orders processed by the CEDIS.
Note CEDIS rights costs are not disclosed in Vital Health’s compensation plan or on their website.
Joining Vital Health
Vital Health affiliate membership is $29.99 annually.
Signing up with a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum package is required to qualify for all bonuses in Vital Health’s compensation plan. These costs are not disclosed in Vital Health’s compensation plan or on its website.
Vital Health Conclusion
Vital Health’s compliance become apparent the moment one visits its website.
No retail pricing is provided to consumers, leaving them in the dark with respect to product cost. This initially demonstrates a lack of focus on retail sales.
How products are marketed is rooted in how Tony Rodriguez is presented on Vital Health’s website;
Dr. Rodriguez’s journey in natural medicine began in his early years when he witnessed his mother’s struggles with chronic health conditions.
Determined to help his mother and others like her, he began his education in natural medicine, studying under some of the top practitioners in the field.
He earned his doctorate in natural medicine and became a licensed naturopathic physician.
Regardless of what you think of natural medicine practitioners, we have Rodriguez running about thinking he’s “helping” people with “chronic health conditions”.
In other words, Rodriguez is playing doctor and Vital Health is his unregistered pharmacy administering non-approved medications.
Given this foundation for Vital Health, it should come as no surprise that promoters are running wild with illegal medical claims.
Vital Health’s pseudo-compliance template is to present unsubstantiated medical claims as “testimonials”.
This typically boils down to “I’m not making any medical claims but my personal experience is I took (insert product here) and my (insert disease here) was (treated/cured/managed)”.
I’ve mentioned it before but nowhere on its website does Vital Health present consumers with peer-reviewed studies pertaining to any of its supplements.
This includes the supplements Vital Health itself openly makes unsubstantiated medical claims about (V-Omega3 –> arrhythmias, V-Itadol –> arthritis).
What’s particularly sickening with Vital Health targeting people with “chronic health conditions”, is Rodriguez having been there.
Rodriguez knows how desperate these people are having gone through a presumably traumatic experience with his own mother.
Ethics aside, MLM companies marketing their products using unsubstantiated medical claims (either directly or through promoters) is illegal.
The practice, no pun intended, violates provisions of both the FDA and FTC Acts.
Moving on to Vital Health’s compensation plan, there’s a large emphasis on autoship. In fact to qualify for the entire compensation plan, Vital Health affiliates must sign up with a Silver or higher package and purchase product each month.
This is from the Builder Bonus section of Vital Health’s compensation plan;
Requirements: Be active. Everyone must purchase a Silver or higher starting package.
And this is from the Monthly Loyalty Bonus section;
NOTE: These royalty rewards do NOT generate commissions. If you fail to make your minimum personal purchases, you will lose continuity.
This alone would be an obvious MLM autoship recruitment scheme. Vital Health however does have preferred customer requirements tied to its affiliate ranks.
There is a discrepancy in rank qualification for residual unilevel commissions and the “rank advancement” sections of Vital Health’s compensation plan.
The former makes no mention of preferred customer requirements while the latter does. I’m giving Vital Health the benefit of the doubt as it’s possible the unilevel commissions rank qualification is abbreviated (note this isn’t signified in the compensation plan).
As stated, without preferred customer requirements Vital Health is an obvious affiliate autoship recruitment scheme. With preferred customer requirements we still have problematic forced purchases, an emphasis on autoship and illegal medical claims.
I’m also not keen on Vital Health using outdated “we hope you resell” retail pseudo-compliance.
This is the route Vemma took and we know how that turned out. If Vital Health is checking affiliates are actually reselling excess purchases to retail customers, that’s fine. But Vital Health doesn’t suggest this on its website or in its compensation documentation.
Typically we see this resale retail pseudo-compliance in MLM companies turning a blind-eye to inventory loading (as was the case with Vemma).
All said and done I think the legitimacy of Vital Health can be summed up with, gun to his head, Tony Rodriguez admitting none of Vital Health’s supplements have verifiable benefits with respect to “chronic health conditions”.
My money is on that not happening.
And given how easy it is to find promoters making all sorts of illegal medical claims…
…Vital Health is left wide open for an overdue FTC and/or FDA investigation.
