uFlip Review: Canadian real estate projects?
As per the uFlip website:
UFlip is a company officially launched in August 2015.
The registered office of the Company and the operational office is located in Montreal, Canada.
Unfortunately that is the only information about the company provided, with there being nothing further as to who owns or runs the business.
The uFlip website domain (“uflip.ca”) was registered on the 17th of July 2015, however the domain registration is set to private.
As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.
The uFlip Product Line
uFlip has no retailable products or services, with affiliates only able to market uFlip affiliate membership itself.
Once signed up, uFlip affiliates can then purchase $500 packs. uFlip represent these packs as being funds the company then invests in “real estate projects”
The uFlip Compensation Plan
The uFlip compensation plan revolves around uFlip affiliates investing in $500 packs and recruiting others who do the same.
uFlip packs are $500 each, with an advertised $12.50 a week ROI paid out per pack invested in:
Total annual ROI off one pack investment is $625.
A single-level referral commission of $50 is also paid out when personally recruited affiliates invest in a pack.
Residual commissions in uFlip are paid out daily via a binary compensation structure.
A binary compensation structure sees an affiliate placed at the top of a binary team, split into two sides (left and right):
Positions in the binary are filled via direct and indirect affiliate recruitment, with pack investment generating points for the side of the binary a placed affiliate is on.
One $500 pack investment generates 30 binary points.
Commissions are paid out at a rate of 50% of the points generated on the weaker binary side, with 1 point generated the equivalent of $1.
After commissions have been calculated, paid out volume is flushed on both sides of the binary and the process repeats itself.
Binary Point Rewards
Based on accumulated points in an affiliate’s weaker binary side, uFlip reward affiliates with the following incentives:
- 4000 points – a Mont Blanc pen and 4 days in Las Vegas
- 8000 points – “trip to South America with luxury car rental”
Affiliate membership with uFlip is $100, however this only entitles an affiliate to referral and binary commissions.
Full participation in the uFlip MLM business opportunity requires at least one $500 pack investment, increasing the cost of uFlip affilitae membership to $600.
The premise of uFlip investing in real estate projects with invested funds does not match the company’s payout structure.
Real estate investments are typically long-term investments, however uFlip payout at a minimum an upfront referral commission and daily binary bonus.
This raises the question of “where do the funds come from?”
The obvious answer is uFlip simply recycle newly invested funds to pay off existing investors, making it a Ponzi scheme.
Thus it follows the same is happening with the 50 week pack investments, leaving us with a pretty standard fraudulent investments and binary back-end opportunity.
Don’t take my word for it though, ask a uFlip affiliate to provide proof of real estate investment accounting for every dollar they’ve received from the company.
And if they can’t provide it, be sure to follow it up with uFlip themselves. How many properties are they flipping a year? Where are these properties? How can they offer fixed ROIs based on a fluctuating market?
Realistically you’re probably going to get blank stares or worse, outright fabricated answers to the above questions.
But on the flip side (no pun intended), at least you’ll be fully informed as to what you’re getting into.
