Planet Ether provides no information on their website about who owns or runs the business.

The Planet Ether website domain (“planet-ether.com”) was privately registered on June 15th, 2018.

At the time of publication Alexa cites South Korea (37.2%), Croatia (15.6%) and Russia (12.8%) as the top three sources of traffic to the Planet Ether website.

It is highly likely Planet Ether is being operated from one of these three countries.

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.

Planet Ether Products

Planet Ether has no retailable products or services, with affiliates only able to market Planet Ether affiliate membership itself.

The Planet Ether Compensation Plan

Planet Ether affiliates purchase positions in a three-tier 2×2 matrix cycler.

A 2×2 matrix places an affiliate at the top of a matrix, with two positions directly under them:

These two positions form the first level of the matrix. The second level of the matrix is generated by splitting these two positions into another two positions each (four positions).

Level three of the matrix is generated in the same manner and houses eight positions.

Positions in the matrix are filled via subsequent position purchases by new and existing Planet Ether affiliates.

Once all positions in a matrix are filled, a “cycle” is generated and a commission paid out.

Planet Ether break down commission payments per matrix level across their three cycler tiers as follows:

  • Matrix 1, level 1 (positions cost 0.03 ETH, 2 positions to fill) – no cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 1, level 2
  • Matrix 1, level 2 (4 positions to fill) – 0.06 ETH cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 1, level 3
  • Matrix 1, level 3 (8 positions to fill) – 0.064 ETH cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 2, level 1
  • Matrix 2, level 1 (2 positions to fill) – no cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 2,  level 2
  • Matrix 2, level 2 (4 positions to fill) – 1 ETH cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 2, level 3
  • Matrix 2, level 3 (8 positions to fill) – 9 ETH cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 3, level 1
  • Matrix 3, level 1 (2 positions to fill) – no cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 3, level 2
  • Matrix 3, level 2 (4 positions to fill) – 35 ETH cycle commission, unlocks Matrix 3, level 3
  • Matrix 3, level 3 (8 positions to fill) – 260 ETH cycle commission

Joining Planet Ether

Conclusion

Under the guise of giving and receiving donations, Planet Ether operates as a three-tier cycler Ponzi scheme.

What differentiates legitimate donations from Planet Ether’s investment payments, is that a legitimate donation does not qualify you to receive donations from other donors.

This fundamental difference qualifies Planet Ether as an investment scheme, which has nothing to do with donation giving or receiving.

The use of a matrix cycler to pay investors defines Planet Ether as a Ponzi scheme.

Newly invested funds are used to pay existing investors across three tiers.

Once affiliate recruitment slows down, so too will Planet Ether’s matrix cycler.

Ultimately the system will collapse, resulting in the majority of invested funds being trapped in uncycled positions.

The math behind a Ponzi cycler guarantees that the admin of the scheme will always receive the majority of invested funds.

This is accomplished by way of pre-loaded admin positions.

These positions are generated out of thin air and sit atop the company-wide matrix.

Being first loaded in the matrix, the admin positions cycle through the lower tiers and are first to receive the majority of funds via the upper tiers.

Payouts across the upper tiers dwarf those at the lower tiers, resulting in the majority of invested funds winding up in Planet Ether’s anonymous admin’s account.

A few early investors will make off with what’s left, ultimately leaving the majority of Planet Ether investors with a loss.
