Intellexa is a reboot of the collapsed BuddyX Ponzi scheme.

BehindMLM came across Intellexa as part of our research into BuddyX’s collapse.

BuddyX operated from the domain “buddyx.io”, which now redirects to “buddyex.com”. Here we have a continuation of the fraud started with BuddyX, although you won’t find any mention of Intellexa (sometimes spelt Intellaxa) on BuddyEx’s website.

Nonetheless, a visit to BuddyEx’s social media channels reveals plenty of Intellexa marketing since Buddyx collapsed.

BuddyX was a reboot of the collapsed Buddy Corp Ponzi scheme. Timeline wise we have:

Buddy Corp –> BuddyX –> BuddyEx (Intellexa)

All iterations of the Buddy named Ponzi schemes are run by serial fraudster Mahesh Sharma.

Sharma is an Indian national hiding out in Dubai. There is no mention of him on BuddyEx’s website.

Due to the proliferation of scams and failure to enforce securities fraud regulation, BehindMLM ranks Dubai as the MLM crime capital of the world.

BehindMLM’s guidelines for Dubai are:

  1. If someone lives in Dubai and approaches you about an MLM opportunity, they’re trying to scam you.
  2. If an MLM company is based out of or represents it has ties to Dubai, it’s a scam.

If you want to know specifically how this applies to Intellexa, read on for a full review.

Intellexa’s Products

Intellexa has no retailable products or services.

Affiliates are only able to market Intellexa affiliate membership itself.

Intellexa’s Compensation Plan

Intellexa affiliates sign up and either pay $70 or $140.

Commissions are paid when they recruit others who do the same.

Intellexa Affiliate Ranks

There are nine affiliate ranks within Intellexa’s compensation plan.

Along with their respective qualification criteria, they are as follows:

  1. Level 1 – sign up as an Intellexa/BuddyEx affiliate and recruit one affiliate
  2. Level 2 – recruit two affiliate
  3. Level 3 – recruit three affiliates
  4. Level 4 – recruit four affiliates
  5. Level 5 – recruit five affiliates
  6. Level 6 – recruit six affiliates
  7. Level 7 – recruit seven affiliates
  8. Level 8 – recruit eight affiliates
  9. Level 9 – recruit nine affiliates

Referral Commissions

Intellexa pays referral commissions on fees paid by personally recruited affiliates.

Referral commission rates are paid on a sliding scale, rewarding heavy recruiters.

  • 5% is paid on the first recruit
  • 6% is paid on the second recruit
  • 7% is paid on the third recruit
  • 8% is paid on the fourth recruit
  • 9% is paid on the fifth recruit
  • 10% is paid on the sixth and continued recruits

Residual Commissions

Intellexa pays residual commissions via a unilevel compensation structure.

A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.

Intellexa caps payable unilevel team levels at nine.

Referral commissions are paid as a percentage of affiliate membership fees paid across these nine levels based on rank:

  • Level 1 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates)
  • Level 2 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1 and 4% on level 2
  • Level 3 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2 and 3% on level 3
  • Level 4 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3 and 2% on level 4
  • Level 5 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on level 5
  • Level 6 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on levels 5 and 6
  • Level 7 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on levels 5 to 7
  • Level 8 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on levels 5 to 8
  • Level 9 ranked affiliates earn 5% to 10% on level 1, 4% on level 2, 3% on level 3, 2% on level 4 and 1% on levels 5 to 9

Note that while there’s no official explanation for the 5% to 10% variance on level 1, I believe this might tie into how much in affiliate fees are paid.

E.g. $70 fee affiliates earn 5% and $140 fee affiliates earn the full 10%.

Intellexa pays an Infinity Bonus on unilevel team sales volume from level 10 and onwards.

Note that if an Intellexa affiliate withdraws awarded Lifestyle Rewards at any point, their running downline balance is reduced to $0.

Car Bonus

Intellexa’s compensation plan details a Car Bonus. The explanation provided isn’t helpful but I’ve included it below as I can’t make sense of it:

I think the two numbers on the first three month might be tied to recruitment.

Joining Intellexa

Intellexa affiliate membership is either $70 or $140.

Although not explicitly clarified, I believe how much is spent in membership determines how much can be invested into Intellexa’s bot trading scheme.

There is also a $100 reful fee which isn’t explained but I believe might be an ongoing affiliate membership fee.

Intellexa Conclusion

Intellexa is a typical AI trading bot Ponzi scheme:

Affiliates pay a fee and then place invested funds under control of a claimed AI trading bot. This is done on the representation of a passive return, purportedly generated by the bot.

There is no evidence of Intellexa having an AI trading bot. In light of this being the effective third Buddy Ponzi reboot, it should be obvious that the bot doesn’t exist.

If it did, Mahesh Sharma would be running it for himself. Selling access to a golden goose for as little as $70 makes no sense.

Even if a mock bot is set up to simulate returns tied to trading activity, it should be noted that neither Intellexa or BuddyEx are registered to offer securities in any jurisdiction.

This means that at a minimum Intellexa and BuddyEx are committing securities fraud. The same is true of the previous two Buddy scams as well.

Outside of Intellexa’s fraudulent investment scheme, with nothing marketed or sold to retail customers the MLM side of the business operates as a pyramid scheme.

As with all MLM Ponzi schemes, once affiliate recruitment dries up so too will new investment.

This will starve Intellexa of ROI revenue, eventually prompting a collapse.

The math behind Ponzi schemes guarantees that when they collapse, the majority of participants lose money.

Look no further than Buddy Corp and BuddyX to see this in action.
