Bastion Invest provides no credible information on their website about who owns or runs the company.

On the “our staff” section of Bastion Invest’s website, random executive names are provided.

“William Hardy” appears to be running the show as Bastion Invest’s “administrator”.

On the same page is an office photo, featuring poorly photoshopped placement of Bastion Invest’s logo.

The original office belongs to Fiera Trading, a company based out of Kazan, Russia.

In an attempt to appear legitimate, Bastion Invest provides UK incorporation details for Bastion Invest Limited.

An MLM company operating or claiming to operate out of the UK is a red flag.

UK incorporation is dirt cheap and effectively unregulated. On top of that the FCA, the UK’s top financial regulator, do not actively regulate MLM related securities fraud.

As a result the UK is a favored jurisdiction for scammers looking to incorporate, operate and promote fraudulent companies.

For the purpose of MLM due-diligence, incorporation in the UK or registration with the FCA is meaningless.

Probably because it represents it made-up executives from Sweden, Bastion Invest also provides a Swedish corporate address.

This address belongs an unrelated cloud networking company.

As opposed to the UK or Sweden, the use of a Russian office photo suggests Bastion Invest’s admin is based out of Russia.

Bastion Invest’s website domain (“bastion-invest.com”) was privately registered on July 12th, 2021.

Alexa currently ranks top sources of traffic to Bastion Invest’s website as Russia (49%) and Vietnam (8%).

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.

Referral Commissions

Bastion Invest pays referral commissions via a unilevel compensation structure.

A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.

Bastion Invest caps payable unilevel team levels at five.

Referral commissions are paid as a percentage of funds invested across these five levels, based on how much a Bastion Invest affiliate has invested:

  • Start tier affiliates receive 5% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates), 2% on level 2 and 1% on level 3
  • Progressive tier affiliates receive 7% on level 1, 2% on level 2 and 1% on level 3
  • Average tier affiliates receive 8% on level 1, 2% on level 2, 1% on level 3 and 0.5% on level 4

Bastion Invest Conclusion

Bastion Invest claims to be

an innovative company, the basis of which is investing in blockchain technology.

As vague a marketing statement as you can expect from a Ponzi scheme.

So it is with fake executives and fake office photos, Bastion Invest’s external revenue representations are also fake.

I didn’t realize it until I was putting together the images for this review, but even Bastion’s logo is stolen from Bridgestone.

The only verifiable source of revenue entering Bastion Invest is new investment.

Using this new investment to pay withdrawals makes Bastion Invest a Ponzi scheme.

As with all MLM Ponzi schemes, once affiliate recruitment dries up so too will new investment.

This will starve Bastion Invest of ROI revenue, eventually prompting a collapse.

The math behind Ponzi schemes guarantees that when they collapse, the majority of participants lose money.
