The World Ventures Compensation Plan
The World Ventures compensation plan revolves around a Binary organisation.
This means that for every representative active in World Ventures, beneath them are two split downlines.
In turn these two split downlines then have two split downlines under them and so on and so forth down to theoretically unlimited levels.
Each arm operates independently of the other but under World Ventures’ commission structure, both arms rely on each other to generate residual commissions for qualified active representatives.
World Ventures Income Opportunities
There are four main income sources for World Ventures representatives and they are as follows;
Direct Commissions
World Ventures direct commissions are paid out directly to representatives. There are two direct commissions and they are paid out as follows;
- $20 is paid out to representatives on the initial sale of a DreamTrips membership or LTC product individually or when they are combined.
- $150 is paid out to representatives on the initial sale of a Luxury DreamTrips membership.
Direct commissions are available to all ranks of representatives in World Ventures.
Weekly Team Bonuses
World Ventures rewards its representatives for working as a team in their organisation by paying out a residual commission based on the total sales volume of a representatives organisation. This includes spillover and those customers or representatives that weren’t directly enrolled by the initial representative themselves.
Weekly Team Bonus commissions are paid out according to what are called cycles. One cycle consists of three sales credits on one side of your binary organisation matching up with three sales credits on the other side.
For example, say the left arm of my binary organisation had earned me 27 sales credits and my right arm had earned me 31 sales credits.
27 divided by 3 comes to 9 and because I’ve got more then 27 credits on my right arm, for this particular month I’ve earnt 9 cycles.
You’ll note that my right arm generated 31 sales credits which leaves 4 left over. These carry over to the next month assuming I maintain my status as a Qualified Representative.
Note that you can still generate sales credits whilst you are an Active Representative, but you need to be a Qualified Representative to make a commission on your credits. Credits earnt whilst a representative is Active expire one month from the sale date unless the representative advances to Qualified Representative status.
Credits are generated from product sales and are awarded as follows;
- 1 Sales Credit for any sale of a DreamTrips Membership, an LTC Package or if both are sold together
- 3 Sales Credits for any sale of a Luxury DreamTrips Membership or if the Luxury Membership is combined with an LTC Package.
Credits are attributed to the arm of your binary organisation that makes the sale with the exception of retail only customer sales.
At the end of the week, these credits are evenly distributed into your binary arms to match up sales credits on either side as needed.
Also note that each representative level has a payout cap for weekly bonuses, which can be seen further on in this article where the various representative levels are listed. The weekly bonuses also subject to the 65% Payout Cap.
Monthly Residual Commissions
Monthly Residual Commissions operate in much the same way as the Weekly Commissions with the exceptions that
- they are paid out monthly instead of weekly
- payout is between $10-$20 a cycle
- Monthly Residual Commission credits are generated off recurring monthly billing fees, as opposed to retail product sales
Monthly Residual Commissions are subject to both the 65% Payout Cap and each representative level has it’s own level cap applied to the commission (listed below in the representative listings).
Monthly Residual Commission fees are earnt as follows;
- 1 point is generated on the recurring monthly fees of DreamTrips and LTC Packages
- 2 points are generated on the recurring monthly fees of DreamTrips bundled with a LTC Package or International DreamTrips
- 3 points are generated on the recurring monthly fees of Luxury DreamTrips and
- 4 points are generated on the recurring monthly fees of Luxury DreamTrips and LTC bundled as a package
Note that the initial months fees of a new customer (be they retail or a representative) do not count towards the Monthly Residual Commissions and instead are put towards paying out the Weekly Bonuses. The same is true of every fourth month’s fees thereafter.
On these months no Monthly Residual Commission credits are generated off any recurring monthly fees paid.
As with the Weekly Bonuses, any customer only generated credits are auto distributed to either binary arm at the end of the month to ensure as many cycles are generated as possible.
Monthly Residual Commissions are also subject to the 65% Payout Cap and individual level caps, as outlined below in the representative level listings.
Personal Sales Bonuses
Personal Sales Bonuses are paid out to individual representatives based on the criteria of personally enrolling 6 new customers, or new representatives to World Ventures.
The payout applies to a four week rolling calendar and is paid in a lump sum of $250.
The Personal Sales Bonus is not subject to the 65% Payout Cap, nor is there any restriction to the amount of bonuses a representative can earn in a rolling four week period.
Note though that if a refund is paid out to a new customer or representative, World Ventures will recoup the $250 paid out to the respective representative who made the sale.
Representative Bonuses
In addition to the income opportunities offered, there are also several bonuses available to qualifying representatives who successfully advance through World Ventures’ ranks.
Training Dollars
Training Dollars are dollar for dollar amounts paid out to representatives with the idea of encouraging training within World Ventures itself.
For each new six customers a representative makes within a rolling four week calendar period, 100 Training Dollars are awarded.
Training Dollars have a one to one dollar value but can only be put towards the cost of World Ventures Acceleration Workshop, Millionaire Bootcamp or a Regional Training Event.
They are not redeemable for cash and are subject to a limit of 100 Training Dollars being awarded each month per representative. You can only use 100 Training Dollars towards the cost of an individual event (no saving them up and getting ‘free’ training).
Travel Dollars
Travel Dollars are designed to encourage World Ventures representatives to travel and make use of the company’s products.
Travel Dollars can only be put towards World Ventures’ products and are awarded for every sixth Weekly Cycle that an active representative makes.
They are not redeemable for cash.
Director Bonus
If a new representative achieves Director withing 12 weeks of joining World Ventures, they are awarded a once off cash bonus of $5,000.
The DreamCar Bonus
The DreamCar bonus is awarded to representatives who reach the Regional Marketing Director rank and higher.
Payouts vary from rank to rank but will not exceed the minimum monthly repayment of the representative. If your monthly repayment is only $500, then World Ventures will only put $500 towards your car each month.
Cars can either be new (model can be up to 3 years old) or pre-owned (but must ‘look new‘). Additionally representatives who choose to use the DreamCar Bonus must be willing to provide World Ventures with a biography and promotional photo.
A World Ventures logo must also be placed in a prominent position on the car being bought. This logo is purchased from World Ventures separately.
The DreamHome Bonus
The DreamHome Bonus is awarded to International Marketing Directors and can be put towards either a new home or paying off the representatives existing home.
The home can be a house, apartment or condo, and can be leased or purchased.
Like the DreamCar Bonus, representatives must be willing to supply World Ventures with a promotional photo and biography.
The DreamHome payments cap at $3000 but are restricted to maximum monthly repayments. For example if your monthly repayment is only $1500, then World Ventures will only pay you $1500 a month for the DreamHome Bonus.
Representative Levels
Within World Ventures there are nine progressing levels for participating Representatives to strive for. Each level is a progression within World Ventures and entitles the representative to additional sources of revenue and/or additional bonuses.
The nine representative ranks within World Ventures International are as follows;
Enrolled Representative
This is the first level World Ventures’ representatives are placed on. Enrolled representatives ar eligible for direct sale commissions, but do not generate sales volume.
Active Representative
At the Active Representative level, representatives are eligible for direct sale commissions and additionally also generate sales volume.
If Active Representatives fail to advance to the next representative level (Qualified Representative), sales volume expires after 30 days from the date of each sale.
In order to become an Active Representative, World Ventures representatives must be ‘active’ within the company.
There are two components to active qualification for representatives. The first component is the mandatory purchase of World Ventures’ ‘Representative Business System’ (RBS).
The RBS in a nutshell is your back office and comes with a replicated website and various marketing and training tools provided by World Ventures.
The initial cost is $99.95 and then $9.95 a month recurring.
The second component of qualification is a minimal monthly product purchase. This can be a new sale (within the month) to a retail customer or existing World Ventures representative, or a personal purchase by the representative themselves of one of the retail products.
So long as both criteria are met a representative is qualified to be active and is thus eligible to generate sales volume.
Note though that at the Active Representative level, any sales volume generated automatically expires after 30 days from the respective sale date. This continues to occur until the Active Representative qualifies to become a ‘Qualified Representative’.
Qualified Representative
In order to progress to the Qualified Representative rank, Active Associates must meet two criteria;
- Firstly they need to make four retail product sales (non-recurring) to either customers or existing representatives of World Ventures.
- Secondly they need make sure that the customers or representatives they make these sales remain active, which means they themselves making a minimum of one new product sale a month, or purchase themselves.
- Note that if customers are to be included in the representatives qualification pool, that they are only capable of purchasing products, not making sales.
Qualified Associates are eligible for direct sales commissions and up to $2000 from any of the weekly bonus commissions.
Senior Representative
To achieve the Senior Representative rank, World Ventures representatives must have a minimum of 6o active customers (split 30/30 on their two binary arms).
At this level representatives are eligible for direct sales commissions, up to $2000 from the weekly bonus commissions and $10 per cycle ($500 monthly max) from the monthly residual commissions.
Director
At the Director level, representatives need to have at least 180 active customers in their organisation (split 90/90 on their binary arms).
They also need to have at least 140 active customers in their lineage downline with no more then 90 counted from any one line.
Lineage is essentially people you’ve personally sponsored, and then in turn people they’ve personally sponsored and so on and so forth. All of these people make up your lineage and from each person you’ve personally enrolled forms a new arm of personal lineage.
What this means is that say representative A enrols active representatives B and C. Representatives B and C are personally enrolled by Representative A and thus count towards their lineage count.
Representatives B and C will then go on to enroll their own active representatives and customers and they in turn do the same. Note that lineage is only counted for those personally enrolled representatives below Representative A. No spillover from above Representative A counts towards his or her personal lineage count.
The active representatives and customers that make up representative C’s lineage downline will invariably have enrolled representatives and retail customers of their own and all of these active representatives or customers count towards Representative A’s 140 count.
Note that each personally sponsored arm of lineage cannot contribute more then 90 active customers or representatives meaning the 140 pool will have to come from multiple sources of lineage.
Directors are eligible for direct sales commissions, up to $2000 in weekly bonuses and $20 per cycle ($2000 monthly max) from the monthly residual commissions.
Marketing Director
Building on the qualifications required for a Director, a Marketing Director must have a lineage downline of at least 400 active customers or representatives (with no more than 200 counted from any one line).
Marketing Directors also need to earn $12,000 over the three previous calendar months. This $12,000 minimum earning must be maintained over a rolling previous three calendar month period in order for a representative to maintain their Marketing Director level.
Marketing Directors are eligible for direct sales commissions, up to $5000 in weekly bonuses and $20 per cycle ($5000 monthly max) from the monthly residual commissions.
Regional Marketing Director
Regional Marketing Directors must have 900 active customers in their lineage with no more then 300 coming from any one line.
They also need to maintain earnings of $27,000 for the three previous calendar months. This $27,000 minimum earning must be maintained over a rolling previous three calendar month period in order for a representative to maintain their Regional Marketing Director level.
Regional Marketing Directors are eligible for direct sales commissions, up to $10,000 in weekly bonuses and $20 per cycle ($10,000 monthly max) from the monthly residual commissions and a $1000 DreamCar Bonus monthly maximum.
National Marketing Director
National Marketing Directors must have 1800 active customers in their lineage with no more then 600 coming from any one line.
They also need to maintain earnings of $51,000 for the three previous calendar months. This $51,000 minimum earning must be maintained over a rolling previous three calendar month period in order for a representative to maintain their National Marketing Director level.
National Marketing Directors are eligible for direct sales commissions, up to $20,000 in weekly bonuses and $20 per cycle ($20,000 monthly max) from the monthly residual commissions and a $1000 DreamCar Bonus monthly maximum.
International Marketing Director
International Marketing Directors must have 3,000 active customers in their lineage with no more then 1,000 coming from any one line.
They also need to maintain earnings of $87,000 for the three previous calendar months. This $87,000 minimum earning must be maintained over a rolling previous three calendar month period in order for a representative to maintain their International Marketing Director level.
International Marketing Directors are eligible for direct sales commissions, up to $25,000 in weekly bonuses, $20 per cycle ($50,000 monthly max) from the monthly residual commissions, a $1,500 DreamCar Bonus monthly maximum and a $3,000 DreamHome monthly maximum.
The 65% Payout Cap
The 65% payout cap is billed as vital to the ‘long-term health and continued growth of World Ventures‘.
In any given pay cycle World Ventures guarantees to pay out 65% of all sales revenue generated by its representatives as commissions (both sales volume payouts and monthly residual commissions).
If however the sales volume or residual commissions generated exceeds 65% of monthly sales revenue, individual paychecks across the company are shaved back by an equal percentage to bring the payout balance to within 65%.
In effect, World Ventures guarantees itself a 35% cut of sales revenue generated by its representatives, at the expense of its representatives own income.
In effect, if enough people are successful in World Ventures then everyone is punished financially. Well, everyone except World Ventures corporate of course.
The Bonus Business Centre
Finally the last component of the World Ventures compensation plan is the Bonus Business Centre.
Designed to reward those who do well in the plan, World Ventures will create an entirely new arm of downline lineage for any representative who earns $25,000 in a single calendar month.
The Bonus Business Centre will be placed above the representatives existing Business Centre. Think of the Bonus Business Centre having it’s own A and B binary arms, what this means is that the existing Business Centre will be placed on arm A, leaving B to be filled up again from scratch by the representative.
At least that’s how I’m reading it. The advantages of the Bonus Business Centre appear to be in the residual income streams I’d imagine. Having an already established arm of the binary plan means you can solely concentrate on the other arm and from there, you’re only as limited as your motivation.
Conclusion
The World Ventures Compensation Plan is massively complicated and I imagine would be quite hard to follow for your average layman. I myself am no expert and it took a considerable amount of time for me to get my head around.
Within the plan there are multiple streams of revenue and I’m pleased to say that none of them rely on the direct recruitment of representatives. True to their word, World Ventures do not reward members directly for going out and recruiting new representatives.
Having said that, post analysis the compensation plan seems to be heavily favoured towards retail product sales, which is a good thing.
However, World Ventures do count representatives as customers and with the possibility for representatives to self-qualify themselves by auto purchasing a product every month. This in turn could lead to representatives simply signing up new representatives, getting them on auto ship for one product and repeating the process.
The aim here would be to grow your organisation big enough so that the amount of representatives you’ve got under you covers your monthly outlay for your own autoship product (for qualification) and then eventually turns you over a healthy profit.
In turn all the representatives you personally sponsor would be looking to do the same. Of course this isn’t the only way to work the World Ventures Compensation plan but unless I’m missing something, there’s no incentive not to do this.
It’s far easier then trying to find once off retail customers as you’ve got the income opportunity to utilise as a marketing and promotional tool.
Look out for an article soon covering World Ventures products. In it I hope to tie together the compensation plan and products on offer to provide readers with a greater overall view of the World Ventures business.
With the slight hiccup of the possibility to recruit representatives on autoship however, as far as the World Ventures compensation plan goes – so far so good.
Footnote: The World Ventures’ Compensation Plan comes in at a staggering 28 pages in length and is full of information that’s not really relevant to those interested in joining the business as new representatives.
As such I’ve left out quite a few things in this review but rest assured I believe I’ve included everything of relevance to those looking to join the World Ventures business opportunity.
If you are still curious about the complete World Ventures compensation plan however, the full plan is provided by World Ventures in PDF format.
I am very interested and so are my close friends, since you have looked at the 28 page PDF compensation plan, would you recommend it?
I can’t in good conscience recommend participating in recruitment-driven pyramid scheme.
WorldVentures is NOT about selling trips, but rather, selling memberships to itself, much as your upline sold you the membership.
That is a fundamental disconnect from their initial representation and their name.
That fact alone should give you pause. What sort of company presents you one thing then make you do something else?
all good good to good to be true. but what the hell give it a try.
have the right to use the sale of membership(your) system and add my holiday packages as a bonus for those who joined.
Like you pay me I use it to give away holiday package for the winners each month.
If WorldVentures was retail viable, sure. Otherwise it’s illegal to promote and participate in pyramid schemes in most countries.
THANKS FOR THE REPLY . its a hot one in South Africa will make use of it while alive.
WV will be gone soon.
There is a new suit brought by Chinese members of WV that was just filed in Hong Kong for non payment of commissions, so WV is not paying reps all around the world (thousands of US reps have not been paid since 2017).
