Two more Oris Teams arrests in Pune, Maharashtra
Two Oris Teams scammers have been arrested in Pune.
As reported by Punekar News on January 12th, the arrests were made following a complaint by a “highly educated youth”.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Cyber Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the scam.
The accused have been identified as Avinash Singh and Ravi Thakur.
Singh’s and Thakur’s arrest follows the arrest of “several” Oris Teams scammers in Maharashtra last November.
Authorities have urged other victims of the scam to come forward and contact the cyber police immediately.
Oris Teams owners Rahul Khurana and Tarun Trikha (right) are wanted by Indian authorities but remain at large.
Oris Teams was a “staking” model MLM crypto Ponzi built around Oris Coin.
It appears Oris Teams is still being promoted in India but these days goes by “Oris Coin”:
As of December 2024, SimilarWeb was still tracking around ~2700 monthly visits to Oris Teams website. All of Oris Teams website traffic originates from India.
It’s assumed those still promoting Oris Teams are trying to offload their worthless oris coins onto unsuspecting new bagholders.
